Chapter 22 - Her Dream

Gasping while her mouth is full, she immediately closes her mouth and swallows back her meals before she drinks water. She totally forgot about it.

Looking at how she reacts, Carla could figure it out already. "Figured."

"How about you?" Luna asks after she put the drink on the table.

"Only half. But then, I don't know what to write."

"Guess, me too." Luna sighs.

Ding ling ling

Another customer walk-in into the restaurant. Both of the girls did not look at the entrance door as they both too absorbed with the chat.

But the man who just enter the restaurant suddenly spot them. He smiles and a few of his buddies already pat on his shoulder in unison.

"Go, man. Talk to her." one of his friends said, they then leave to the table near to where Raymond sit.

Nick Simon mustered up his courage and walk to the table where his dreamy girl sits.

"Hey."

Both of them turn to look at the guy who suddenly pops up at the side of their table.

Carla and Luna were stunned a bit. Nick Simon is known as the hottest guy in their school. He had a sexy body and his face also not bad too. He's the captain of the football team and a 'dream guy' to so many girls in school.

"Hey." Carla reply with a smile on her face. She admitted that she had a crush on him but he never sees her, so as the years passed by, her one-sided love also faded away.

"What are you girls doing here?"

"Well," Carla glance at Luna who is quiet from the start he speaks up.

"We just hang out." Carla continues her word when she saw that Luna doesn't intend to reply to his question at all.

"Hm, I see. So, how's summer break?"

"Cool. This is the season where most of the high school student falls in love, right?"

Luna glower at Carla for saying something embarrassing. She knew Carla used to like this man, that is why she did not interrupt their conversation. But who knows this girl in front of her say something like that.

Nick smiling, unknowingly showing his handsome figure and he glances at the girl who keeps silent from the beginning. "Who knows, maybe it's true."

Carla squeals a bit and she then said again. "So, did you found your summer love yet?"

He still did not avert his eyes from Luna and she also pretends like he was not there.

"I hope I can find it soon. But, I have to work hard for it."

Carla notices the way he looked at Luna. Suddenly there's a hunch inside her mind, 'Are they two meetings each other while she was away? That is why she refuses to tell her about it?'

"I wonder who's the lucky girl." Carla tries to pry.

Avert his eyes back to the girl with a bob hair cut, he said. "I wonder it too."

He then said again, "Well, ladies, enjoy your meals. Sorry to interrupt your lunch."

Carla nods her head while still smiling at him. Once he sat back at the table where his friend is, she could see his friend somehow teasing him to which his face turning red.

"Wow…the hottest guy in our school just hit on you," Carla commenting and grin at Luna with meaningful eyes.

"He's not hitting on me." She brushes off the thought that Nick hitting on her and continues to eat.

"You see, that's your problem here. You always shut people who want to be close to you."

"Well, I'm sorry. They did not appeal much to me. They just want to have fun and its all puppy love to me... no offense, your case's different than mine."

"That's where you are wrong dear." Carla looks at her which clearly put on a casual face.

"If you are not allowing them in, then how you can move to the next step?"

"Carla...I really don't need them." She lifts up her face and stares at her with a serious face and tone this time.

'I don't need them because I'm married! There's no way I could reply to any guys confession right now. It's too late for me..sobs..sobs..'

Sighing, she nods her head. "Alright."

"Oh, what did you want to ask me? you said you want my advice?" Luna remembers she said about asking her advice before.

"Oh, right. It's about college choice. I decide to go to where my boyfriend go. But, how about you? Aren't you lonely when I'm not there?"

Luna put down the spoon. She bit her bottom lips a bit. This is hard for her too. She can't just leave Raymond like that. He already too attached to her to the point that he doesn't want to be apart with her.

She can go to the local college, but, is he gonna be okay if she leaves him to go to the class? What if he throws his tantrum again? What if he wants to follow her like today?

"Have you choose your course?" Carla ask again when she saw Luna's troubled face. She looks like something burdening her.

Again, Luna was stiffened. She has thought before to pursue Business major but with her condition right now..she wants to know more about Raymond. She wants to be able to attend to his need and help to cure him. But medical is out of her option. She's no good with blood and needle too.

"Psychology?" She murmured, but Carla could catch the word.

"Huh? Way too far from your dream, girl." She scrunches her eyebrow a bit. 'What happens to her to change her dream this drastically?'
