Chapter 21 - Lovesick

Mr. Carson starts sweating a bit. He's worried. Of course, he is! This master of his want to go outside? What if there's a paparazzi and stubborn reporter out there? He's gonna have to receive the consequence for this.

"But -" Luna continues again and this time, Raymond and Mr. Carson stiffen a bit and looked at her.

Looking at the man in front of her, she put on a serious look on her face. "You can only be around 10 meters away from me and you need to put on a disguise."

Raymond pouted again, ready to sulk.

Seeing him start to pouting, she sighed. Slowly, she sits close to him. She softly touches his chin and lifting it, for him to look at her.

"Listen," Raymond did not look at her eyes as he averts his eyes to the side.

"The reason I want you to be a bit far from me is that.." She stops her word and tilted her head a bit, searching for his eyes. Once she locked her eyes with him, she continues again. "I don't want my friend to look at my handsome, kind, gentle, adorable and lovely husband." she had to muster up all her courage to say something like that.

Well, half of it is true. If Carla found out about this, it will bring trouble to her even though she is her best friend. Some private thing can't be shared even with the closest friend she has.

Hearing the reason, Mr. Carson almost choked on his saliva and Raymond look so pleased with that. Once again, his face turns bright like morning sunlight.

"W-Why D-did you-"

"Because, you're the one for me to stare at, to love you and I hate to share it with another woman. You got it, right?" She winks at him, hoping that he would not question her any further. This is already embarrassing enough for her to say this in front of that butler and others maid who passing by the hall.

Raymond nod and hide his face again. Obviously, she can see his face which already turns red to the extent to his ear. It such a delight to see him like this. But, it is also contagious as she also starts to turn red as well.

She then averts her eyes to the butler and says "He need to wear something that can cover up his identity. Can you do that?"

Mr. Carson nods his head and squatted down to his master. "Master, let's change your clothes now."

Raymond nods his head and went upstairs with the butler leaving Luna downstairs. She doesn't need to change her clothes because she always wearing comfortable clothes that suit her. Long sleeves tee and ripped jeans. She always let her long hair loose and only a few times she will tie it up. No makeup at all. Her natural beauty face is already stand out more than other ladies in town.

That is how she dresses at home and at the outside too. She's not a makeup fans. If she wants to go out, she only put on a very thin layered of lip gloss on her lips. Even with only the little lip gloss, she still looks very stunning like an angel.

Raymond wore a black long sleeve tee and three-quarter pants. He also put on a cap and his bang has been styled to cover his forehead. With this, no one would notice that he is the Young Master of the Wayne family. One of the five wealthiest families in this continent.

Mr. Carson also asks him to put on earphone as a disguise. At least he would look like he listens to the song and not stalking at her wife. That's what he thought.

With that, the three of them go to the town. Mr. Carson and Raymond sit at the table in the corner of the restaurant while Luna sits at the other side of the restaurant. Mr. Carson also changes his clothes which look like a father figure. With his brown leather jacket, casual shirt and he even put on a glasses. If people see them, they would think that they're a duo of father and son. Even though the 'son' will be too handsome to be that man's son.

A few minutes earlier.

At the other side of the restaurant, Carla shrieks a bit when she saw Luna enter the restaurant.

"Ahh! Babe, I miss you." She grinning while showing her white teeth.

"Me too. So how was your dad's place?"

"Awesome!" She looks so excited when she says that.

"Glad to hear it." She opens the menu and starts to find something for her to eat.

Carla tilted her head a bit, "Hm? Why did I see a pink background behind you?"

"What?" Luna startled a bit, afraid that she has been caught.

"Did you fall in love with someone while I was away?" Carla tries to take a guess.

Scoffing a bit, she murmurs. "Crazy."

"Wha...Well, why not? I can't be always at your side, you know?" She glances a bit at her, giving her a hint.

Put the menu back on the table, she looks at her best friend. "I take it as..you found yourself a boyfriend?"

Squinting her eyes like a fox, Luna chuckles a bit. "Wow! Tell me about it."

Carla excitedly tells her about her new lover. "Well, I met him when I was at my dad's place. He worked part-time at the beach and he also does a part-time at the aquarium. So..we just happen to fall in love with each other."

"Uh-huh?"

"I mean..he's so hot! I never met someone as hottie like him."

Luna chuckles a bit. 'Well, my husband way more handsome than yours.' Just after she had that thought, she gasps slowly. 'Wait, did I..just said that??'

"Hey...I know you met someone? Who is it?" Carla still feels suspicious of her.

"What? No.."

"You can't deny it dear..your face shows it all." She hums while looking around the restaurant. She then spots two-person sitting at the corner of the restaurant which looks a bit odd.

"What did my face showed you?" Luna asked her. She didn't make any face that shows her she was in love, right?

"Hm..well, it just my hunch and your face look like mine when I was lovesick with my boyfriend." She said it confidently.

"Wow..shameless."

Carla smacks her hand with the menu card. Once they order their meals, they continue to chat about school and all.

"Oh, hey..did you already finish your essay?" Carla suddenly remembers about it. They need to submit it when summer break's over and they also need to find a good university too.
