"I can't return your feelings. I hope you forget about it."

Wu Xiuqin still recalled Li Zhiqiang's words. His words have cut through her heart. She loved him dearly and all he did was to say 'I hope you forget about it'. As if it was that simple. No, she wouldn't give up on him. Since childhood, Wu Xiuqin used to get everything she desired. She had everything she had ever hoped for.

She wasn't used to rejection. And Li Zhiqiang was someone she had desired the most. How could she give up on her? She felt a certain degree of guilt for doing something bad to Jing Lihua. But Wu Xiuqin thought she had done enough good for Jing Lihua. "If I hadn't brought her to Hong Kong, she would have been dead by now. She owes her life to me. So why should I give up Li Zhiqiang for her?"

"Give up on Li Zhiqiang." Wu Xiuqin's eyes were sharp. She didn't look like the usually gentle and warm Wu Xiuqin. There was a very different air around her. Jing Lihua could never have guessed that she was capable of looking that arrogant.

"Why?" She had been confused.

Wu Xiuqin tried every angle to make her give up on Li Zhiqiang.

"I can't do what you are asking me for." Jing Lihua's eyes were cold. It was true that Wu Xiuqin had done great favors on her. She met Li Zhiqiang because of her. But her feelings for Li Ziqiang had nothing to do with it. "Li Zhiqiang has already proposed to me yesterday and I have said yes. We have promised each other to spend our lives together. Besides, Lu Ziqiang is someone I can not give up on. If you had asked for anything other than him from me, I would have gladly given it up. But not him."

"Proposed to you?" Wu Xiuqin heard these words and it was the last straw. "How could you think of marrying him!" Wu Xiuqin angrily grabbed out many papers from her purse and threw it on Jing Lihua.

"What is this?" Jing Lihua was shocked.

"They papers to millions of worth of properties in the UK. Sign it and everything will be yours. With all that you can comfortably live the rest of your days. This is more than what you could have ever gained in your life. I have already booked a ticket for you. Leave for the UK tomorrow and never appear in front of Li Zhiqiang again!"

Jing Lihua silently picked up the scattered papers, arranged them and looked at them. "This is how you think of me?" She asked softly. She couldn't believe that it was the same Wu Xiuqin that she admired even more than Li Zhiqiang. The properties in the papers were worth more than millions. For a commoner, it would make life worth living with all the wealth. But Jing Lihua wasn't a commoner.

She had her grandfather behind her. In front of the Tang enterprise, the properties were nothing.

"Do you need more? I can provide you more. I know marrying Li Zhiqiang would give you a status and wealth a thousand times more than this. So you would be inclined to choose him over my preposition. But Jing Lihua, I believe you are not this shameless. I hope you take into regards the sincerity I showed you and accept it. For what you owe me, I hope that you will be less greedy and accept this lesser offer."

"I have no interest in your wealth." Jing Lihua had politely placed the papers in Wu Xiuqin's hands. Even though Wu Xiuqin said all sorts of those insults to Jing Lihua, she didn't insult her back. Jing Lihua had always worshipped Wu Xiuqin and feelings couldn't be eradicated overnight. She had been hurt but she didn't hate Wu Xiuqin. If anything she felt guilty for stealing Li Zhiqiang from Wu Xiuqin. Furthermore, Jing Lihua at that time was naive and forgiving. With a gentle smile, she said. "My feelings for Li Zhiqiang can't be replaced with wealth. I'm very hurt to know you thought I was this sort of person. But Wu Xiuqin, forgive me. I love him more than anything in the world. I can not give up on Li Zhiqiang."

"You wench!" Wu Xiuqin slapped Jing Lihua hard across her face. And Jing Lihua didn't fight back. Because she thought, she owed her.

Hello, my beautiful readers. Sorry for the late update. I was having the worst cold of my life. Besides medicines made me sleep all day. Thank God it is finally over. I literally thought I was going to die.
