Chapter 97 - The devil arrives

"It is just who she is. Her pureness, her kindness, her those sharp green eyes, her cherry red lips, her sweet innocent smiles. Everything about it. I love everything her. There is not a single thing in her that I can find fault with. It's just I know she was made for me."

Hearing something about someone else from the man whom you love couldn't be a happy experience. But Li Zhiqiang had to tell her. He wanted her to give up. He didn't want her to do something that might hurt Jing Lihua. In the end, the person whom he put first in his mind was Jing Lihua. And all of his actions were intended to protect his beloved Jing Lihua.

"I can't return your feelings. I hope you forget about it." His voice was cold, not offering the slightest hint of warmth or compassion.

Su Xiuqin had enough. She knew she had lost Li Zhiqiang completely. He was never hers o begin with. Her big eyelashes fluttered as she looked at him with tearful eyes. She never cried in front of him before. Because she knew he liked the strong woman. She had always pretended to look strong in front of him. But today, she was failing. She let her frustration take control of her. "Do you know what I wish for most in this world? I wish I would have never brought Jing Lihua to Hong Kong."

Li Zhiqiang glanced at her for a moment. He was surprised to hear something like this from her. She had always been kind, gentle and sacrificing. Only now she was showing her true colors. Had she been faking it all the time? "That wouldn't have changed anything. I have told you that I have always seen you as a sister."

Wu Xiuqin laughed. Her eyes were red from crying. "At least I would have to see the one I love happily with some other woman."

Li Zhiqiang hadn't said and left refusing to provide any words of comfort to the crying Wu Xiuqin. The next day he had proposed Jing Lihua. He never told her Wu Xiuqin's words afraid to hurt her. Before he could have a chance to tell her, that tragedy happened.

Standing outside the hospital room that night and looking inside Li Zhiqiang had recalled all that. "She would never forgive me." Jing Lihua was crazy about Wu Xiuqin. It wouldn't be wrong to say she admired her more than Li Zhiqiang. Her naive self had failed to see the darkness in Wu Xiuqin. What Jing Lihua admired most about Wu Xiuqin was her proficiency in piano. Now that it was lost, she wouldn't forgive him.

With a heavy heart, Li Zhiqiang had decided to get her back to Beijing. His fears proved right. As the days passed, Jing Lihua showed no signs of remembering him. Instead, she had turned back to being crazy about Su Liwei. Even though he ignored her that didn't lower her craze for him. She had completely forgotten about his rejection. From far, Li Zhiqiang would observe everything. The way she was crazy about Su Liwei back then, he never dared to show up in front of her, afraid to be hurt by seeing the estrangement in her eyes. And so six years passed.

During these years, he had closed himself. He became the tyrannical President Li that the world learned to fear. All because of that woman.

It was until her wedding. It took Li Zhiqiang a huge amount of alcohol and Li Xun tears to keep Li Zhiqiang from flying to Beijing and bust the wedding and steal the bride. The next day of her wedding when he heard they hadn't shared a room, his spirits lifted. That day made some major changes in her company and get rid of Su Liwei spies. Li Zhiqiang had been observing her every move from a distance like a loyal stalker.

What did that move imply?

Was Su Liwei plotting something against her? Li Zhiqiang went into it further and unraveled Su Liwei schemes. He had crushed the files that his brother prepared about Su Liwei's involvement in Tang company scaring Li Xun to tears.

"Brother don't be angry. Look at the bright side here! Sister Jing has kicked out Su Liwei man Heng Huizhong out of the boards of directors!" Li Xun said quickly in cold sweats. "She has taken action against Su Liwei. It means Sister Jing no longer trusts Su Liwei. There is no communication between them. If she still loved him, she wouldn't have taken action against him in fear of offending him. Maybe she has finally realized that Su Liwei doesn't deserve her! Brother, you can use this chance to steal Sister Jing! You can have her back again." Li Xun sighed in relief when he finally managed to cool down the temperature.

As days passed, facts continued to prove that Jing Lihua wanted out of her marriage with Su Liwei. Because she had kept her distance from him. And so he had started to help her behind the scenes.

Li Zhiqiang walked into the club and went straight for the private room upstairs. The manager wanted to stop the person but once he saw his face and recognized the tyrannical Big Boss, he shuddered cringed away. What in the seven Hells the Devil was doing here? "My god, what chaotic day it has been. First a tigress then a tiger?" He had already been confused when he had received a call from Wu Ying asking to humiliate Jing Lihua.

It was no doubt Jing Lihua's name was bigger than the Wu family. She might not be famous in Hong Kong but in Beijing, she was on the top of the food chain. Being in business the manager was aware of the identity and importance of every person. He prayed that things wouldn't end in chaos and rushed away to prepare the security just in case.

The door to the room was kept open. Li Zhiqiang's lips curled up. Jing Lihua must have done it on purpose. Li Zhiqiang stayed outside and listened to everything for a long time. When he heard Wu Ying's words, his eyes darkened.

He pushed open the door and stepped in. But just then Wu Xiuqin's eyes met his and she rose to stop her sister.
