[(Corpse) Producer, Yuri-chan!!!]

Okay, two days to go until the event. After hours of grinding, I’d finally tamed 9999 monsters. I’d also tamed the ‘Forbidden Evil Dragon Cthulhu・Replica’ yesterday, so the city defense was now perfect.

Picking ‘Craft Maker’ as my second job sure was the right choice~. With the expansion of the item box, the number of weapons I could shoot with ‘Arms Barrier’ increased, making hunting monsters a cinch.

However…

“Hm~, their power leaves much to be desired individually. Against a couple of monsters, I can simply rain them with a hundred swords, but in the event, I’ll be facing tens of thousands of players.”

In a restaurant in Helheim, I was deep in thought while eating katsudon.

By the way, the surrounding tables were occupied by summoner NPCs—now in post-apocalyptic-style jackets with no undershirts in addition to their mohawk hair—who were ravenously eating their meals. Looked like now that they had become evil, their fashion sense had changed accordingly as well.

Well, putting these guys aside… right, ‘Arms Barrier’ projectile attacks weren’t very powerful.

After all, the system treated the shot weapons as thrown by me, and I had zero Strength. Damage buff from damage-increasing skills wouldn’t help, either.

I got by using a large number of extremely rare heavy weapons and ones that caused status ailments but considering what I’d up against was a massive army that way outnumbered my weapons, it would be far from enough. And unlike monsters, players could prevent status ailments with accessories.

“Even if the city’s defense is perfect, I won’t be able to rampage in the event when I’m lacking in damage output. Defeating other guilds is the condition for victory, so going on the offensive is a must.

“Hey, owner, do you have any good idea?”

“E-eeep?! W-well, um, I’m just a cook so things like that are outside my area of expertise…!”

“I guess so.”

I tried asking the owner NPC who had been watching me and the summoners while twitching nervously, but it was a bust. That aside, I just did a small act of terrorism and took over the city, I hoped he could get over it already.

Hm~, well, of course I’d get nothing from asking a cook. He only made food, stuff about battles was… hm, made?!

“That’s it! I just have to increase the power of the weapons!”

It was such a simple and rational answer! Yeah, I now had a production-type job, after all!

Instead of just using high-end or limited weapons as they were, I could power them up further!

“Okay, I’m gonna go try to dabble my hands on weapon crafting! See ya later, owner!”

“Huh?! Pardon me for asking, Great Demon King, but I heard a rumor that your great self has just become a Craft Maker. Is that true? If that’s true, then you must be careful… I heard plenty of accidents in which amateur Craft Makers caused the weapons they were creating to explode because of some small mistakes…”

“E-e-e-e-e-e-exploooooode?!”

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, what the hell?! Wasn’t that just amazing?!

I shot weapons instead of wielding them. If they could explode on top of that, it would be perfect! They’d be like missiles, how cool was that!

I thank the owner—I mean, the ‘teacher’!

“Thank you, teacher. Thanks to you, I could see the right path…! All I gotta do is create missiles and shoot ‘em!”

“T-teacher?! I mean, how did you even come to such a ridiculous conclusion from my remark?!”

“Summoners, did you hear that?! Thanks to this great one, we’ll be able to mass-produce mountains of corpses!”

“Whistle! Talk about an insane piece of advice!” “Ya sure are somethin’, owner!” “He’s the model of a cold-blooded war-monger!”

“Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeh?!”

After waving at the rowdy summoners and the teacher who shouted with (probably) joy, I immediately headed for Grimm’s workshop.

She was probably busy preparing gear for the NPCs. I’d just borrow a corner of her place and figure things out by myself.

Alriiight, I’ll do my best as a producer!!!
