Chapter 561 - She isn't Barton

Sky purposefully skipped dinner at The reunion to eat with the family. Seeing seafood feast, Sky happily dug in. She informed Arlo that dinner was prepared by Grandfather.

He understood why Old master Barton didn't praise his cooking skills. Because Arlo could never match Old master Barton's amazing skills.

After a few minutes, Sky's happiness turned to despair. Because there were three plates of Lobster meat extended towards her.

Sky alternatively looked at Old master Barton, Jai, and Arlo. Loran would only peel for her if Jai wasn't there. George knew Jai would do hence he didn't do for Sky and he gave it to Georgia.

"I will take half of all three plates." Sky announced and took as she said but it was still more for her.

Arlo said she didn't have to eat from his plate but not to make him feel bad, she took. Jai wanted to see how she would solve so he didn't take it. Old master Barton was already in a grim mood for taking half.

Instead of a seafood feast, it became the Lobster party for Sky. Instead of one glass, she had drunk three glasses of wine while finishing her Lobster and other dishes.

Her face was flushed, when she spoke for a second time, "Brother Jai, I feel like we are back into our old time. We always enjoyed meals together..."

Jai signaled Arlo to take her to bed knowing she would talk everything whatever they did when she was staying with them for the second time too.

Arlo carried her to the room. She curled in his arms and slept soon without speaking anything. He could still see the beautiful arc on her face.

Her state reminded him of a chick. Even though it was early, he too slept with her.

--

Morning, Sky woke up early despite Sunday. Seeing Arlo sleeping, she didn't disturb him and checked the water bottle feeling her throat dry.

She brought the water from the kitchen and saw Arlo was awake early morning at half-past to four since she wasn't in his arms. While coaxing him to sleep, Sky slept again and missed the breakfast.

Jai and Loran sent the guests to the guesthouse first to get fresh and stayed there to bring them home. Arlo helped Georgia in the kitchen. George arranged in the Living room with the help of maids. The old master Barton wasn't interested in the family meeting so he went out to meet his old pals.

After helping Georgia, Arlo returned to change his leisurewear and saw Sky still sleeping. He arranged her clothes and required accessories before waking her up. She woke up after hearing the Moore family would be here in half an hour.

By the time she exited the bathroom, Arlo was ready and helped her to dry her hair when she ate her breakfast. Soon Jai and Loran returned with all the guests.

David, Ryan, and Olivia came first. They greeted them first and welcomed the Moore family. Jai introduced everyone from the Barton family. Samara introduced her family and mentioned her sister was in states so she couldn't join them.

"My dad, George. Mom Georgia. My little sister, Sky. You already know Loran and Arlo, Sky's husband."

"She is my mother, Doris. My father, Barney. My grandfather Bernard." Samara said as everyone greeted them.

Even though Doris and Barney were aunt and uncle to Arlo, he didn't treat them any special other than nodding vaguely.

All settled in the living hall. Sky instructed the maids to carry out and arrange the table full of snacks. followed by coffee, tea, or juice before settling between brothers.

Parents talked generally about many things to which others were damn bored. Ryan cued Sky and both went near the dining table. "Sky, How can you be so boring and sit with them?"

"What do you suggest? I don't want to disturb them." Sky asked and looked at the living area where elders were talking. Others were sitting and looking at their faces.

"Give a reason and let's leave from here." Ryan suggested.

Sky nodded and went to George and whispered. The latter agreed and he asked Jai, "Jai! Aren't you guys bored? Show Samara around the house. Sky, help them."

Sky nodded and called Samara, "Sister-in-law!"

Samara nodded at her parents and left with Sky. Jai followed them. Ryan cued the other two and went upstairs. Arlo and Loran followed them leaving elders' boring talk.

Sky first took Samara to the last floor and showed around telling tiny stories of Jai and the trio. Then below that floor, she just pointed her room and Loran's room.

Then she took her to Jai's big room which was the library. All followed them in. "God! Why do you have so many books in here?"

Sky replied instead of Jai. "Because of me! His reading habit started because of me."

Jai nodded at Samara when she looked at him. He rubbed Sky's head and spoke "My little sister used to have hell lots of questions about everything and anything she sees. So to answer her questions, I started to read and now it reached so much."

Sky giggled and continued, "He started to read about business too. So a few more will add on soon."

After talking for a few more minutes, Sky took them to Jai's room and left them inside, "You guys can carry on from here. We are off."

Sky waved and pulled the door to close before turning to others. "So?"

Loran pinched her cheeks before saying, "Sister Sky, I will go with Ray and play a game." Both went to the Living room on that floor and started to play video games wearing headphones.

Sky turned to Arlo, "What about you? Are you going downstairs? or play the game with them?"

"Both are boring!" Then he carried her off the floor before taking her into their room. "I need my wife."

Sky was speechless.

One to get teased on that day should be Jai and Samara. Because of Arlo, Sky got teased saying she dispersed everyone to spend time with her husband. Although they all knew it was Arlo who would do that.

Arlo and Sky followed Jai and Loran downstairs for lunch. But four paused on stairs hearing Doris.

"...though you looked after Sky, she isn't your daughter after all. She has her own family. She isn't Barton. Why are you including her in everything with brothers? These all will belong to Jai and Loran. She is just a foster..."

Samara was late to stop her mom, "MOM!"
