Chapter 426 - Talk to him

' Did I make sense? Never mind. ' Sky thought to herself.

Jeffery smiled as he nodded his head. "You are very determined. Anyway, if you change your mind, feel free to contact me anytime."

Seeing his extending his hand to give her his card, Out of respect, Sky took his card. "That won't be necessary. Still Thank you! Professor Jeffery."

Silence fell over for half a minute. Another professor spoke, "I will be straight forward to you Ms.Harley. You are strong-minded, obstinate but also arrogant."

"Thank you! You call it arrogance but I know it's confidence. I don't have to cross that line in front of strangers." Sky replied without care.

She wasn't going to agree to Jeffery just because he was interested. She has the right to reject if she was not interested. If that sounds arrogant, she would accept it wholeheartedly.

'Pfft'

Thomson was drinking water to calm himself before reporting to Arlo but he spat all out after hearing Sky.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Thomson clumsily wiped his table with the tissues.

The professor who commented on Sky turned red due to anger and embarrassment.

Jeffery chuckled and asked, "Ms.Harley, are you going to open a business startup that you are resolute about your decision?"

"Nope!" Sky took two seconds to decide and continued, "I'm currently working as the President & CEO of Harley corporation in Country A and Y."

All looked at each other except Thomson who already knew about it.

One of the lady professors spoke, "Now I know why you are so good at numbers and statistics. All the best for your future. We are approving your graduation certificate."

Sky nodded in response with a poker face.

Jeffery spoke again, "Ms.Harley, are you be interested in completing the thesis about your abstract? Since you are busy, you can assign it to one of the professors here and they will be a co-author of the paper. It's just a suggestion, it will be a pity if others can't get to know this idea."

She couldn't travel to country A to U again and again as the to and fro journey was thirty hours excluding road travel. So it's better if she gets a co-author.

Sky didn't bother to glance at anyone. "I would like to ask Professor Thomson about this."

Thomson didn't expect her to choose him. "Sure! I will be glad to work on this." Or else I will get killed by Arlo. Hehehehe

Whatever required was already on the whiteboard. He just had to write in words and present at the conference. That wasn't a big deal for him.

Sky went to him, "I would like to use your phone camera."

Thomson passed her in puzzle after unlocking it. Sky took picture of the whiteboard and checked if it was clear.

She passed it back to him and said in a low voice. "If you call me or Arlo to torture about this, I will complain to the education board saying you have fake degrees."

"Thank you, Professor Thomson." Sky said loudly this time which was audible to all.

Thomson gritted his teeth. 'Vicious'

After a little more talk, Sky collected her graduation certificate and went downstairs.

Arlo who was patiently waited for her for nearly fifty minutes saw her running towards him holding a black leather folder which had a college logo on it. He slid down from the bonnet to lean on and saw her beaming.

"Congratu...lations!" Arlo barely finished, She wounded her hands around his neck to hug him.

His heart skipped a beat and started to pound profusely. His left hand held her small waist which felt tiny leaning on his body. Her proportioned soft bosoms were pressing on his firm chest sending ripples inside him.

Breathing in her scent, he was contented with the hug for his six months of teaching. He was about to wound his left hand but he heard Sky speaking. He smiled and patted on her back hearing her.

"Thank you! Thanks to you! I finally got it. Nobody will say anything to Dad now. Oh! I must have angered your senior. Talk to him. I will call Brother Jai."

Sky left him and looked at him with her clear eyes and beautiful smile, "Where is my mobile?"

She had left her mobile with him. Arlo pointed shotgun seat with a tender smile on his face. Sky sprinted to the side of the car to get her phone.

Arlo sucked in a deep breath and breathed out to relax. Since it was half-past six, there were only a few people around hence he let her talk to her brother without disturbing. He saw Thomson coming towards him and his face stiffened.

"Wow! She was aloof all the time even after receiving her certificate. Look at her now." He pointed Sky with his chin who was jumping on her toes saying about the exams, viva voce, and certificate.

Arlo glanced back at her and asked Thomson, "Sky said she angered you, What is it?"

Remembering her threat, he snorted. "You two are perfect. If you are a father of evilness, she is the mother of it. She rejected Professor Jeffery without batting an eyelid. When Professor Seth told her she is strong-headed but arrogant, she pissed him off saying thank you. Anyway" He peeked at Sky who was laughing. "It's hard to dislike her when she is cute."

Arlo narrowed his eyes at him and moved his head to face him. Thomson gulped his saliva seeing his eyes and quickly opened the picture Sky captured and handed it to him.

"I will be writing a paper on her abstract as a co-author. This is the reason Professor Jeffery asked her to be his discipline."

Arlo lightly brushed through the contents of the picture and passed him the mobile but paused looking at his odd expression.

"Arlo!... Sky" Thomson stuttered pointing towards Sky.

Arlo quickly analyzed the oddness and saw Sky oblivious of it. "Go aside." He said to Thomson and climbed on the car top.

He slid on the backside of the car and rolled Sky off the road towards the lawn. It just happened in a mere five seconds.

Sky shrieked in fear and held on to Arlo's jacket as her last hope. She was talking to Jai and she had no idea who rolled her on the side.
