The exams have begun.

The first day was a written exam. From morning till evening, the students had to spend all their time at the school desk and write down all the knowledge they had acquired on the answer sheet.

For Wendy, who had given up her precious time to help Almark with his studies, he could not afford to get a poor score. Despite feeling as if smoke was coming out of his head, Almark somehow managed to get the majority of his answer sheets filled in for all the subjects that day.

The second day was the practical exam. The students had to infuse the medicinal water of the healing skills correctly in time and perform the designated kata of the martial arts.

The martial arts instructor, Bowen, smirked as he watched Almark perform the kata.

"If a wild wolf tried to imitate a domesticated dog, it would probably look like this,"

He uttered an unfamiliar metaphor.

The third day was an interview and practice of magic.

During the interview, the examiner, a teacher, asked the students a series of questions on both magic and general subjects. The students answered them quickly and accurately. If they fail to answer a question, points will be immediately reduced.

This was an area in which Almark was rather good at.

Finally, the last part of the test was the magic practice.

The exam room was the magic practice hall. All students wait their turn in the classroom and are called one by one to the examination hall. The content of the exam is not made public in advance, and to prevent information leaks, students are sent back to their dormitories without going back to their classrooms after the exam.

The examinations are very strict, and many students have to make up for them every time, but at any rate, once the examinations are over, the three-day examinations are over.

Almark, however, waited his turn with a sense of anxiety.

(There is nothing I can do in magic practice.)

(That is true. I have only trained in meditation.)

(I think I've learned a lot about how to feel the magic in my body. However, I still don't know how to put that magic to use.)

He has no idea what will be on the exam, but Almark had no choice but to try his best to meet the subject at hand.

He was prepared for that.

"Almark, don't worry."

Morgen, who looked much paler than Almark, called out to him, but he, too, had been called in for the test and was no longer there.

Wendy's name was called and Wendy answered and stood up. Just before she left the classroom, she quietly came up next to Almark and said

“Don't worry. Just have faith in what you had done so far,"

He was happy, but at the same time, he felt emotion of pity .

(What have I been doing ......? Meditation. Even if I was asked to believe, I have nothing to believe in. I really have done nothing but meditate.)

The number of students in the classroom drops off one by one.

Almark is the last in the class to be called because he is a transfer student.

There was nothing to do but watch in silence as the nervous Nelson, Norrisch, and Lilti left one by one, and the usual-looking Leila and Wallis left one after the other.

Just before he left, Torque saw Armark's nervousness and chuckled.

" Do you think you can do something?"

He knew what Almark thought. But he had to do something about it. He didn't want to get good grades, but he didn't want to give up and have to take make-up classes just because he couldn't do something.

Above all, he didn't want Wendy to be disappointed.

Of course, he would like to visit Wendy's mansion during the summer vacation with Morgen if possible, but I was more afraid of Wendy's disappointment than anything else.

Next thing he know, there are only two more people in the classroom. .

"Before I knew it, we were all alone, Deg."

When Almark spoke to him, Deg smiled and said nothing.

Deg is the boy who always follows Torque around like a protégé with Galein. At first glance, he seems to be a bit dull, and he seems to be following Torque simply because he thinks that Torque is strong and therefore cool.

He is also one of the most talented in his class at levitation, and Armark has seen him carry a stone placed a long distance away to his hand with a single touch of his finger.

"Deg. Your levitation is amazing. I don't have any magic I can use, I envy you."

Taking advantage of the fact that Deg didn't say anything, Almark couldn't help but say such a weak words .

He soon released that his prose didn’t make him happy

thing about his upcoming exam.

He tried to take it back in a hurry, but to his surprise, Deg answered Almark's words with a smile on his face.

"I envy you, Almark."

'Oh, you envy me?'

While Almark was puzzled, Deg continued with a smile on his face.

"Because the teacher always says that what you see is not so important. "

"What? ....."

At that moment, Deg's name was called and he stood up.

" Everyone is jealous of you . I'm sure Leila and Wallis envy , too."

Deg left the room with the same smile on his face.

" everyone is jealous of ...… me?"

Almark muttered, puzzled in the classroom alone
