Mother Shan had been sitting restlessly at home, and she only felt relieved when she received a call from Shen Tiantian. She kept reminding them to stay safe.

After chatting for about ten minutes, Mother Shan suggested a video call. When she saw the white hospital bed behind Shen Tiantian, her well-maintained face immediately wrinkled, and she started saying many things with a teary voice. Someone who didn’t know the situation might have thought that something terrible had happened to her.

By the time the video chat ended, it was already getting dark outside. She had managed to finish the whole bowl of porridge and had a thin layer of sweat on her forehead. Fortunately, it was summer, so the food didn’t get cold quickly, and there was still some warmth left when Shan Yi started eating other things.

Once Shan Yi finished eating, Shen Tiantian couldn’t hold it back any longer. Her face looked a bit awkward as she said: “I want to take a shower.”

The VIP room at the hospital was fully equipped, and Shan Yi immediately took action, “I’ll go adjust the water temperature for you.”

Shen Tiantian didn’t say anything, but the back of her hand, where the IV had been, was slightly red and swollen. When she sat up and leaned on the bed, she felt a slight tingling sensation, like being bitten by an ant, but it lasted only for a few seconds, and she didn’t pay much attention to it.

The sound of water came from the bathroom, and Shen Tiantian got off the bed and put on a pair of disposable slippers from the hospital. She hadn’t felt the pain while lying down, but there was still some slight discomfort when she walked. She thought it was probably because she had been in pain during the day and hadn’t moved much, leaving some residual discomfort.

She walked slowly, taking her time to reach the bathroom. Shen Tiantian stood silently outside the door, watching Shan Yi’s figure from behind. After a while, Shan Yi turned around, and their gentle eyes met. She smiled and said: “The water is ready. Come in, and I’ll find you some clothes.”

Their luggage had been checked through, and it was supposed to go directly to City W. However, due to an unexpected landing in City X, they were fortunate that their luggage had taken a random flight. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have had any clothes to change into.

Shen Tiantian had woken up in the hospital and was unaware of what had happened at the airport. She thought their luggage would be sent directly to City W, so she was a bit surprised when she heard Shan Yi’s words. “Alright, thank you.”

Shan Yi ruffled her hair and said, “Even though we haven’t registered yet, you don’t need to thank me, okay?”

“I understand,” Shen Tiantian replied. She touched her hair, which still seemed to have some warmth, and entered the bathroom. She closed the door behind her but didn’t lock it, making it easier for Shan Yi to bring her some clothes later.

The two of them finished showering and came out shortly before 8 o’clock. Shan Yi, who had been tense all day, went straight to bed and fell asleep.

Shen Tiantian gently smoothed out the slight furrow in her eyebrows and her cool hand lingered on Shan Yi’s face, unwilling to leave. After living together for so long, Shan Yi always let her close her eyes first. She would then kiss her forehead, nose, and lips before softly saying goodnight to her. But tonight, Shan Yi had fallen asleep first. She must be exhausted after a long day without a break.

Shan Yi’s sleeping posture has always been good. Every time she woke up, she was still in her original position, sleeping neatly.

“Goodnight,” Shen Tiantian learned from her and kissed her slightly thin lips.

Since she had just woken up, she knew she wouldn’t be able to fall asleep now. Shan Yi couldn’t accompany her either, so she picked up her phone and casually started scrolling through her friends’ social media updates.

Liu Wanjun had posted a rare moment on her social media today, with a black-and-white ultrasound image. You could vaguely make out the already formed baby, curled up obediently in the mother’s womb.

Shen Tiantian’s heart felt tender, and she couldn’t help but touch her own belly. When she thought about it, her pregnancy was only about a month behind Liu Wanjun’s. During her recent prenatal checkup at the beginning of the month, the baby was still tiny, not as clear as in the photo, but the outlines were starting to show.

She unconsciously turned her head to look at Shan Yi, wondering who the baby would resemble. Her abdomen had already developed a noticeable curve in less than three months. In another month or two, the peanut-sized thing would grow to the size of her palm, slowly expanding her belly. They would be able to meet the baby in a few more months.

Thinking about it this way, time seemed to have become more agonizing. Up to now, they hadn’t prepared any clothes for the baby, and they hadn’t even decided on a name. Choosing a name was a very serious matter for her. Her last name hadn’t changed, and her name was given by the dean. She wanted to consider her parents-in-law’s opinions and then combine them with Shan Yi’s preferences to decide on the name.

She didn’t like her own surname, feeling like she could never sever her ties with that person. So, she hoped the baby could take the Shan surname.

That night, Shen Tiantian thought about a lot of things, and she kept thinking until she fell asleep, still holding her phone, a faint smile on her lips.

In the middle of the night, Shan Yi woke up once. Her first instinct was to look at her wife and saw the phone placed on her chest. She sighed helplessly in her heart, gently took the phone out and put it aside. Then, she hugged Shen Tiantian and went back to sleep.

The next morning, Shan Yi helped with the hospital discharge procedures and booked a private car to City W using a mobile app. After a journey of nearly two hours, they finally arrived at the hotel they had reserved in City W. Just across the street was the Blue sea, and looking down from the thirteenth floor window, all they could see was a vast expanse of blue. The air was exceptionally fresh, making one feel rejuvenated.

Shen Tiantian, who had looked a bit downcast in the car just moments ago, suddenly perked up, saying, “I want to go out for a walk.”

Shan Yi shielded her forehead from the sun, which was so bright it almost blinded her,  and shook her head in disagreement, “The sun is too strong right now. Let’s have a meal and rest a bit first. We can go out when the sun goes down.”

In less than five minutes, the exposed parts of Shan Yi’s skin had turned slightly red. Because her skin was naturally fair, the pinkish hue was quite noticeable. Shen Tiantian felt a bit sorry for her and nodded reluctantly, “Okay.”

“Good girl,” Shan Yi pinched her hand gently, “You just got out of the hospital, you need to rest properly.”

“By the way, when did you reschedule the photoshoot?”

Shan Yi: “If we go to the beach in the evening, we can do it tomorrow.”

“Is that okay with the photography crew’s schedule?”

“It’s fine, I originally booked them for four days. If we skip today, we’ll still have three days to shoot.”

Due to various matters, they had already wasted a day. If she were to waste another day just for fun, she heard that the cost of the paparazzi was very high. Even if no filming took place, the money had to be paid.

Compared to money matters, Shen Tiantian cared more about Shan Yi’s feelings. She had intentionally booked four days, perhaps with her own plans in mind, and she couldn’t afford to waste time. She said, “No, let’s start the photoshoot this afternoon.”

Shan Yi raised an eyebrow, “Didn’t you want to go see the sea? Why the change of heart?”

Shen Tiantian smiled sweetly: “You can see the sea anytime, but taking wedding photos is more important.”

She paused for a moment, then spoke earnestly, “I want to bind you tightly to me.”

Shan Yi was stunned, it had been two days since Shen Tiantian had smiled at her like this. She suddenly pulled her into her arms and asked, “Does this mean you’ve forgiven me?”

Shen Tiantian tilted her head and thought for a moment, “I guess I might have said something like that?”

No, she hadn’t said that. Even though she had spoken a lot yesterday, Shen Tiantian had never explicitly said that she forgave her. To be honest, when Shen Tiantian had mentioned breaking up yesterday, she had felt a chill, and had even begun to doubt herself.

Shan Yi was impatient, unable to resist lifting her chin and giving her a passionate kiss.

Shen Tiantian thought she was going to suffocate, and only came to her senses when she was pinned down on the bed. She patted Shan Yi’s shoulder.

Did she really have to be this excited? It was as if she hadn’t kissed in a century, much hotter than any kiss they’d had before.

Reluctantly, Shan Yi withdrew from her mouth, then suddenly laughed. As she laughed, she buried her face in her neck, her breath somewhat ragged.

She thought it would take a long time for them to return to the way they were before.

“What are you laughing at?” Shen Tiantian panted, pushing her body against her in annoyance.

Shan Yi was still laughing, and after another push from Shen Tiantian, she finally said: “I’m just so happy that I couldn’t help it.”

Shen Tiantian: …..

Is she happy that she had forgiven her for this matter?!

Shan Yi quickly understood her thoughts. “I thought you wouldn’t forgive me.”

Shen Tiantian remained silent, realizing that she had given Shan Yi this impression. She reflected on her attitude towards Shan Yi these past two days, as well as Shan Yi’s attitude towards her. Her expressions changed unpredictably.

It was true that she hadn’t been very attentive to Shan Yi these past two days, and she had even said the words “break up” too casually. The confident Shan Yi had been accommodating her unreasonable behavior, even speaking to her more cautiously.

….When did they become like this?!

It seemed a bit unfair on her part.

Even though she had explained it clearly, even though she wasn’t as angry anymore, she felt a hint of guilt for venting her anger on her lover for strange reasons. Her hands, which had hung at the sides of the bed, slowly rose and wrapped around Shan Yi’s waist. “If I really didn’t forgive you and wanted to break up with you, what would you do?”

After a while, Shan Yi replied: “I will lock you up and hurt you severely, making sure you can’t leave me.”

In her heart, Shen Tiantian thought that she was already unable to leave. Still, she quipped: “Pfft…CEO, you’re so chuuni.”

Shan Yi snorted lightly. “Compared to losing you, chuuni is nothing.”

Although it was silly and childish, for some reason, Shen Tiantian was pleased by it. “Well, you better be ready then.”

“Yep, I’m holding it right now,” Shan Yi smiled, cupping Shen Tiantian’s face, kissing her cheeks and the corners of her mouth in a disordered manner. Her voice was hoarse as she said: “I really want you.”

Shen Tiantian’s face changed. “CEO, you’re being too forward.”

“It’s been three months. Little aunt said it’s okay.”

Shen Tiantian’s face instantly turned red. “When did you ask her?”

Shan Yi looked serious: “During our last trip to the hot springs, she brought it up herself.”

Shen Tiantian:…..

“You’re so lecherous.” Clearly, she seemed like a prim and proper lady on the outside but was a big pervert on the inside.

“Don’t you like it?”

Her wife had just come out of the hospital in the morning, and with the baby not completely stable yet, she naturally wouldn’t touch her. She just wanted to see how she would react, and her flushed face was quite pleasing to the eye.

“Don’t ask about such things.” Shen Tiantian blushed and frowned. “CEO, are you thinking of going to the ‘Little Black Room1Implying to be isolated again‘ again?”

Shan Yi immediately backed off. She had just coaxed her wife back, and if she ended up in the doghouse again, she might cry.

She noticed that Shen Tiantian’s courage was indeed growing, even though in the past, she would blush and stutter when she saw her. Where had that cute and shy wife gone?!

Seeing Shan Yi’s defeated expression, Shen Tiantian couldn’t help but laugh.

The hand that was holding her waist didn’t let go, and the gaze was fixed on her, serious but also very red. “On the day we get married, I’ll let you have your way with me ok?”

They were both holding back because of the little bump on her belly. Otherwise, with their fiery temperaments, they would have erupted like volcanoes long ago, and there wouldn’t be any time for negotiations.

“Deal.” There was a glint of anticipation in Shan Yi’s eyes. “After we finish taking the wedding photos, we’ll go back and register our marriage.”

Shen Tiantian was utterly bewildered, her expression vivid. “You’re not in such a rush to register our marriage just for this, are you?”

“Am I that kind of person?” Shan Yi imitated her expression.

“Who knows with you,” Shen Tiantian grumbled.

Shan Yi responded with a kiss.

And just like that, after two awkward days, the couple finally made up.
