...

During that one mid-afternoon, Song Luli was there, and she was just as beautiful as he remembered.

His heart nearly burst when he realized that she was still in the room, waiting for him. But when he entered, she didn't recognize him from the time they shared their first kiss. She only knew him as that boy from their early childhood.

Long Jie kept his cool, masking his expression with a typical, tyrannical iciness he displayed in front of others.

He sat across Song Luli, proceeding with the marriage meeting he prepared for.

'When you return home, tell your father that it was you who rejected the match, and then we can go our separate ways, ' Long Jie said to her.

'Why would I do that?' Song Luli answered. Long Jie narrowed his gaze coldly, but inwardly, Long Jie felt happy. She, indeed, was a feisty and adorable woman. He wanted her to be his, desperately.

When Song Luli left the marriage meeting, she paused at the threshold, thinking, have we met before? And not in their years as children, but after?

--PRESENT DAY--

Song Luli considered what Han Ru had to offer in regards to producing the screenplay she worked hard on. In the end, she had to make an executive decision, free of any personal conflict.

She decided to work with him, but she will tell Long Jie about it once she got home first.

Once she arrived, there was no lighting and no sign of anyone at home. She figured Long Jie was staying up late at the company, so she decided to go ahead and cook for the two of them.

After she finished, she heard him come home. Wearing her apron and holding a wooden spoon, she went to look for him at the entrance. Long Jie removed his shoes, loosening his tie, and his expression appeared to be exhausted and worn. His hair silked on his forehead from the rain that poured outside.

Song Luli took steady steps towards him. "Are you okay?"

Long Jie glanced at her, taking in one good look at his wife, the one he loved so much, and the tiredness washed away.

He strode towards her, so quickly, that Song Luli didn't realize she was in his embrace. She froze with his arms wrapped around her, hugging her tight.

"Are you okay?" she asked him again.

"I'm better now," he answered.

"What's wrong?" she whispered, as the sound of rain nearly consumed her voice.

"Work was stressful," he admitted against her shoulder. "But it's nothing I can't handle."

Song Luli smiled against his chest. She gazed up at him with a flushed expression. "I don't doubt it," she said.

Long Jie gazed down at her. His eyes went from calm and tranquil, to something sharp and consuming, captivating Song Luli in the essence of him. She fought her daze. "Let's eat," she suggested.

Long Jie followed Song Luli to the kitchen. He sat in his seat when Song Luli put the dishes on the table. She was about to sit down when he said, "Come here."

Song Luli paused. She glanced at him curiously, but she did as told, inching towards him. Did he want to show her something?

Long Jie patted his lap, wearing a sly smile. Song Luli blushed. She moved over to sit down on his thighs, and she began to eat. Long Jie ate with one hand, while his other arm and hand, occupied around her waist.

After she finished dinner, Long Jie picked up some fruits from the bowl on the table and fed her some of it. He put seedless grapes, and tangerine and apple slices in her mouth. When he finished, Song Luli took his hand, sucking his fingers dry, tasting the tangerine juice that lingered, all while locking her gaze with his.

Long Jie straightened in his seat, swallowing hard. He then grabbed her jaw gently, pressing his lips on hers. He kept his eyes opened, watching her embarrassed yet determined expression. Song Luli then allowed his tongue to curl over hers.

He tightened his grip around her narrow waist as he slid one of his hand's on her leg towards her thigh. Song Luli pressed herself against him. He swept her hair over her shoulder to kiss her bare neck.

'When will you let me in?' he wanted to say. 'When will you love me as much as I love you?' was what he thought.

"I got something for you," Long Jie said instead.

Song Luli turned. "What is it?" she asked him.

"I'll show you," he told her.

Long Jie held her hand, guiding her to their bedroom. He took her into their walk-in closet, at the side where Long Jie kept his things. He opened one of the drawers, taking out a long black box. He opened it up for her, revealing a necklace in the shape of a small ornament. It was simple and yet refined, not too flashy, but something that complimented her.

It stunned her. Song Luli's eyes peered at the necklace.

"Do you like it?" Long Jie asked.

Song Luli nodded enthusiastically. "I love it," she answered.

Long Jie grinned. He then stepped behind her, sweeping her hair to the side. He put the necklace over her neck, clasping it.

It felt cold at first, but Song Luli adjusted to the silver-gold chain. She wasn't one to be materialistic, but something about it felt different. It gave her a special feeling because Long Jie gifted this to her.

It weighed slightly heavy for an ordinary necklace, almost like a pendant or locket. Song Luli felt around it, feeling for a clasp, but she couldn't find it. Maybe it isn't a locket, she thought.

She glanced herself in the mirror with Long Jie right behind, gazing at her deeply.

Her heart began to pound hard against her ribcage. Long Jie glanced at her with a long look of want and affection. It surprised her every time he looked at her like that. But they were a couple now, so she figured it was inevitable. But she hasn't grown used to someone who looked at her with admiration before.

Afterward, they went into the bathroom, changing out of their work clothes.

Song Luli washed her face as Long Jie brushed his teeth. "I found a producer to work with on my new project," Song Luli said.

"Oh? Who?" Long Jie asked with a foamed mouth.

"Han Ru," she answered.

Long Jie paused. He then rinsed his mouth and patted his lips dry.

He then smiled. "You're in good hands," he said. "Han Ru will ensure you get everything you need."

Song Luli smiled grimly.

"But," Long Jie said. "Why don't I become his co-executive producer?"

"What?" Song, Luli replied. "But you already do so much for me."

Long Jie turned to cup her face gently, looking into her eyes. "Depend on me more, Luli."

Her eyes widened. "Okay," she whispered.

Long Jie tugged her waist closer to him. "Do you want to go to bed early?" he asked her.

Song Luli glanced at him. "Yes," she breathed.

Long Jie went to turn off the lights before joining Song Luli under the covers of their bed, and Song Luli nestled against him. She lifted her head, resting it on his chest. She could hear the sound of his heart, erratic and unsteady.

She turned her head slightly. "Are you not tired?" She asked.

"No," he replied.

Song Luli nodded, and she lifted herself to mount him over his hips, taking him off guard. Long Jie's eyes blazed. His chest began to rise and fall quickly, and he found it difficult to hold his breath.

Long Jie could see the blush on her face for initiating a bold move, despite the darkness that nearly swallowed them. Song Luli bent down and began kissing him on the neck. "I want to show how much I appreciate you," she said against his throat.

Long Jie bunched his hands onto the sheets, clenching them. He wanted to take her; he wanted to make love to her and fuck her, and everything in between.

But she didn't love him. Not yet, at least. He waited this long, and he would wait, however long it took.

She kissed her way down, unbuttoning his nightshirt on the way.

He sat up slightly as she slipped his shirt off for him. And Long Jie took her lips, surprising her. He consumed her lips, and Song Luli circled his shoulders, clashing their faces together.

Long Jie lifted her shirt over her body, and they were both half-naked. Long Jie felt her waist, running his hands over her back as he kissed her passionately.

Song Luli didn't leave his lips when her hands found his waistband, moving it down. She parted from him for a moment as he kicked off his pants. She then joined him again, and Long Jie flipped her underneath, slipping her underwear from her legs.

Song Luli felt a sudden chill from the nakedness of her body, but she quickly warmed up from Long Jie's heated body. He kissed her hard, roaming his hands over her body, appreciating every curve.

Long Jie flipped their positions again, but this time she was on top, near his face. Song Luli didn't know what to expect, but then she felt him lift her, opening her thighs. "You're wet," he said.

Song Luli flushed, embarrassed.

He then put her on his mouth, and Song Luli moaned out loud when she felt his tongue flicker against her aching core. His lips nipped and sucked gently as his tongue ran over her generously. He squeezed her ass, and his head moved back and forth as his tongue entered her through.

Song Luli covered her mouth, trying to suppress the sounds that escaped from her. But she failed. Song Luli bowed down as he feasted on her, and her face neared his cock, which stood in front of her eyes.

Song Luli took him in her hand, jerking him off dryly at first. She then moved forward, grazing his cock with her tongue, over the head and slit. She then took him in full, moving up and down, sucking him.

Long Jie let out a groan from behind, but he returned again, struggling to keep going as his wife pleasured him at the same time.

Long Jie finished first. Without warning Song Luli, his cum came out profusely, on her face and hand. Song Luli rose up slightly and rode his face. Long Jie held her hips when she climaxed, preventing her from falling over as her legs shook.

When she finished, Long Jie left her, finding his wife dirty because of him. So he carried her naked body, taking them to the bathroom once more. He ran hot water for a bath. Inside, he washed her, and Song Luli laid down against him, closing her eyes.

He kissed her on the head, wrapping his arms around her body, tight. He realized that she was changing and opening up more and more each day. He only hoped that the dynamic between would grow stronger.
