"do you want me to say who the killer is?"

"no need because I already know who it is"

"What do you mean?" max asked with a mix of expression which was apparent on his face.

should I tell him...No, I can't risk his safety, I can't risk any of they safety till this is over.

"I-I can't tell you." I said as I turned my face away to not look at his face.

i kneeled down next to Chris and looked him him the eye and told him

"I will make sure nothing happens to you. i promise.

chris slowly nodded.

i gave him a few minutes to cool down before i told them my plan.

it was 1:50pm and we were finally leaving. max was leaving to go back to school while i was going to meet with james. before we parted ways he lurned to me with a sad smile and asked,"we are a team, right?"

"i should have told him but if i did he would also be in danger" i thought. "should i ask jack what to do?" "but he would also ask me who the killer is" "ughhh, my is this so complicated." i yell in my head as i walk to the cafe.

when i did reach it was perfectly 2 and i saw that the cafe was...empty? now that's new. jack was always at the cafe when he didn't have school and he was expecting me to come.

i sit and wait for james to arrive as i scroll through my contacts to see who to talk about my issue with.

Ace- tempting but i can't since i haven't told him about the USD.

Jack- don't want to be treated like a little kid.

Max- this is about him so no

Anna-i have an issue with her too

Mia- for obvious reasons no.

Cleo-she seems to be my last option. might as well try.

"if this is about what you asked me to search i am still researching" cleo said.

"it's not about that and i don't think you will be able to find what i want in a fashion magazine."

"wait- how did you know?"cleo asked

"guessed" i replied

"fine...so what did you want?"

"help" i said

"is it max or anna"she asked

"both?"I replied

I could hear her sigh from the other side.

"start with max"

"I want to tell him something but I can't"

"what- how do you-*sigh*nevermind" I responded. I should have expected this from her.

"so what am I supposed to do?"I asked

"tell him obviously, he might not be book smart but he is certainly street smart. he knows how to take care of himself besides we are a team, aren't we. oh and you don't have to tell me I don't like spoilers." she said.

"thank you" i said sincerely.

"and about anna, just listen to what jack told you" she said

"how did you-" before I could finish she hanged up.

and like perfect timing james entered the cafe.
