Chapter 32 - competition?

she bent down when her phone rang. she took her phone and went out of the room. I took this chance and left the room. I ran to the club room and took the things we might need in the trip and went out where I saw everyone arriving. I went near max and whispered to him,"we have to talk.....alone". for some reason he freaked out and said,"what!yes I mean.....sure?". Cleo said,"really smooth" to max and went inside the bus (seriously how does Cleo appear out of nowhere).i suddenly felt like someone was looking at me so I looked around and saw a boy looking at me. he was a bit shorter than me, had light green hair and looks like any other boy. he came closer to me and said, "your red hair looks really beautiful like a lovely rose" I replied in a really doubtful tone," oh really... thanks...and you are.." "oh I am sorry"he said "I am Sam " he said and tried to give me a handshake when max pushed me back and stood in front of me and said,"hi I am max and this is Alex it's nice to meet you" somehow it felt like he was angry while talking to Sam. Sam said in a calm voice,"Alex is a really beautiful name. it really suits you" "ohhh looks like you have competition max" Cleo said and left once again. (seriously how does she do that all the time and what competition? am I missing something). max and Sam were talking meanwhile I was thinking who will sit with who because we need to protect Sam but I just wasted my time because they decided to play a game to decide who sits with who. so I was stuck with professor Stine, max and Sam, mr.nick and professor Sara, miss lisa and Cleo , Anna and miss jas, and jack sat alone. this really was bad because I didn't want miss jas and Anna to sit together because I already know miss jas is involved in this and Anna could be helping her and I also don't like this because I am stuck with professor Stine. we all were ready to go when we realised we forgot a tiny detail...
