Chapter 23 - brother

i rubbed my eyes and slowly woke up and soon realised how crazy yesterday was. last night when someone hugged me, I just turned pulled his collar and gave a punch on his face by pure instinct and soon realised that it was ace ( my amazing brother and I mean this in a sarcastic way ). he ended up getting scolded by me since he didn't say that he came back from work and it is never right to hug someone all of a sudden but he was not listening to me and was talking with max so both of them got another punch by me. after we reached home bro invited max so we ended up talking till late at night but I and max made sure that we don't say anything about the....the killer ghost problem ( seriously we need a name for this mystery ). I was about to get ready for school when I realised that my alarm didn't ring so I searched for my clock but it was not in my room so went out to check the time. as soon as I opened my room door I saw bro lying on the ground hugging my clock. I punched my bro and took the clock when I realised that I was extremely late. I ran to my room, changed my clothes and took my bag and shoes and ran to school ( I swear my brother is going to have a taste of hell when i return home ). I reached school but I was late so the gates were closed so I literally had to jump over them ( I hope no one saw me ). I ran to the club room instead of the classroom since I was pretty sure that no teacher will be there teaching them. I opened the club door when I saw Cleo sitting on the chair doing something in her computer and Anna was writing something in that "death" book. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "well.. I reached this book and found that someone had written the names of the people who died ten years ago so I thought I should continue that so I wrote down the second victim's name" I responded in shock, "I completely forgot that Emma is the second victim. what is the first victim's name?" " rose" said Cleo and Anna in perfect chorus. I asked Cleo to check how Emma died because when I rescued her the lake was red in colour due to blood but the doctor said that she died due to drowning. Cleo after a few minutes replied, "I checked the info in the hospital, in it says that she died due to drowning but had a lot of cuts in her body they think that she could have got them when she was struggling to swim." I told that it was suspicious, Cleo and Anna asked me why because they thought that the reason given in the report was correct. I added all the clues I knew and said, "Emma is good at swimming afterall she is in the swimming club and more so those cuts can be due to the killer".... as I was saying max opened the door and said, "sorry I am late I overslept and by the way Cleo and Alex we have a meeting to attend"...
