263 Hack an Entire City's surveillance

"People in the company have not been able to contact Li Jing or him. I had just asked someone to investigate the matter but then Song Jia called this morning and told me that Wu Zhang has probably been attacked. Her people have found Li Jing injured, but they have no information about Wu Zhang's whereabouts."

Wu Ziaho was silent for a slight moment, with his lips pressed in a thin line. "Don't worry dad. I will get my people to look into it right away. You just make sure that the word of this doesn't spread." With that said, Wu Zihao hung up and went back inside Xiao Li's ward.

Jin Qingling was sitting idly beside Xiao Li's bedside, lost in her thoughts which got broke by the sound of the door opening. She turned around to see Wu Zihao walking in. He came forward to take another glance at Xiao Li and then in a very soft voice spoke to Jin Qingling. "I will have to leave, for now, to take care of some urgent matter but I will be back shortly. My men outside will guard the ward. If you need anything for her, you can tell them."

Jin Qingling didn't want to take his help at all but she knew better than to argue right now. She had a hint that no matter what she said to him, he won't listen. So she just nodded her head in agreement and then Wu Zihao left.

On his way, he put on his bluetooth earpiece and gave a call to Song Jia. Once the call connected, he asked directly. "Where are you?"

"At work, why?"

"Wait for me. I will be there in a while." And before she could ask anything further, he disconnected the call and floored on the gas pedal to increase the speed of the car.

A while passed before his car pulled in the parking lot of the Song Corporation. He reached towards the elevator and found an assistant already waiting for him there who led him directly to Song Jia's office.

Wu Zihao didn't even wait for the assistant to knock and barged straight inside the spacious office with long strides. "Why didn't you tell it to me before?"

"Tell what?" Song Jia who was busy with her documents behind the large desk, lifted her head to look at him.

"Stop pretending. Why did you not tell me about my brother when we live in the same house and instead called my father?"

"Song Jia placed the pen from her hands down and leaned back on her chair slightly. "Well because your father was not suffering from alcohol poisoning and he was also not MIA since morning."

After realizing what Song Jia said was true, he awkwardly scratched his head and then immediately got to business, asking about all the details of her findings.

"My men have also asked around the people in the village about Wu Zhang, but nobody has seen him." Song Jia said after finally telling him everything.

"Which hospital is Li Jing in right now?"

"City Hospital. But because his injuries are serious, the doctors are not sure when will he wake up. And without any further leads, the search is now stranded."

"Hmm." Wu Zihao thought something for a few minutes before he pulled out his phone and made a call.

"How long will it take for you to hack an entire city's surveillance?"

Hearing his words, Song Jia looked at Wu Zihao with a weird expression as if he was some idiot. Was he crazy? It was not a joke hacking an entire city's surveillance footage!

"Alright then, I will be there in a short while." After a short exchange of words, Wu Zihao hung up, only to find Song Jia looking at him with a weird expression.

"What?"

"What exactly are you planning to do?"

"You will find out soon. I will leave first." Wu Zihao got up to leave but Song Jia stopped him.

"Wait! I will come with you." She could anyway not focus on work ever since she found out about Wu Zhang. So it was better to rather focus on finding him than sitting and worrying about him back in her office.

"Sure!"

Both of them stepped out to see Wei Xin walking their way. When her sight fell on Wu Zihao, she felt her breath getting stuck in her throat and she inhaled sharply. He was in a white shirt and a pair of lose fitting jeans. His jaw and upper lips were covered with the stubble growing on his face and his unkempt hair had lines in them, because he had a habit of running his fingers through his hair at short intervals. Even though he had lost some weight and his look clearly said that he had just dashed out of the house without bothering to make himself look presentable, that was what Wei Xin found most charismatic about him. And it was actually not just her, most of the women present on the floor where stealng glances at him.

But she soon came out of her daze and schooled her features back to the poker face she usually carried around in the office. She had already given up on Wu Zihao completely, but her heart still fluttered every time she saw him and that was something she had yet to learn to get control over.
