Chapter 1466 The Phone Call

The police sent the message to Linda. She received it, but it was not Linda who arrived at the station to meet Iris.

Iris had been confident that she could use Faye's name to lure Linda to the station. Apparently, someone else came in Linda's stead.

Iris was surprised to see Charles.

"What are you doing here, Young Master Mu?" Iris said.

"What's wrong, Iris? Can't I come here to visit you?" Charles smiled.

A small smile appeared on Iris' face. "I didn't expect Young Master Mu to come here."

"Go ahead, tell me about Faye," Charles said.

Iris took a good look at Charles. He was quite cold and firm. She knew that Charles would not let her go so easily, even if she revealed everything.

"Young Master Mu, do you think I'm an idiot? I can tell you everything, on one condition. If you agree to my condition, I'll tell you everything I know about Faye,"

Iris said.

"Do you really think that you have the right to bargain for anything? According to the law, you could be facing four to fifteen years, max. Do you really want to spend all that time in jail?"

Charles' words made Iris tremble with fear.

Iris had high hopes that if she revealed everything to Charles, he could use his influenc

est decision that I have to make, ' she thought.

Iris was torn between a rock and a hard place. She didn't know what to do, and for a moment, she thought she had lost all conscious thoughts. Iris felt as if she had no real good choice in the matter and something inside of her was guiding her. Something that was nothing but fear itself.

She knew where the fear came from. It came from a demon inside of her. The demon came from an abyss. Moreover, it came from her deepest soul.

Perhaps Iris deserved everything she was getting. After all, she did ruin Linda's reputation. For that, Charles would not let her go so easily. He could easily make Walton's life miserable at this time. He could easily seek retribution this way.

In the end, Iris realized that she had no choice.

Iris made a call to Faye.
