Chapter 1408 Find Mamie

"Linda, are you sure that you've searched this place?" Richard asked as he turned towards Linda.

"Yes. I've swept this place twice, but there's really no trace of Mamie here," Linda answered with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Well, did you search the Plum Garden?"

Richard added. He crossed his arms and sighed.

Bun spoke on Linda's behalf. "My Lord, My Lady, we've checked everything except for Devin's living quarters and the Plum Garden. We are not allowed to enter these two places."

Richard nodded and ordered two servants to accompany Bun. Linda followed soon after. She checked Devin's quarters and the Plum Garden, which was her grandfather's favorite place in the estate.

It was only fortunate that Richard was here to grant them access.

It took a while before Linda discovered Mamie in Devin's living quarters. Mamie was tied to the bed with her mouth gagged. She looked starved and dehydrated.

Mamie was tied open with her legs spread apart on the bed. She was wearing next to nothing. Her pants were nowhere to be seen, and her blouse was hanging on by loose threads. It seemed like someone had shredded them to bits.

When Linda saw her, she immediately checked if Mamie was alive. There was a pulse, but it was quite faint and slow. Mamie was unresponsive. Lin

he stairs.

As she stepped outside the Nalan Clan estate, a large, tall man pushed her out of the way.

It was Richard. He followed after Bun and Mamie with a worried expression.

Although he was still confused about the details, seeing Mamie's weakened face worried him a lot.

As he walked, Rosy called out to him, "You...you found her, grandfather! She really is here! Is she all right?" Rosy asked as she tried to follow after him.

Richard turned around and sneered at his granddaughter. "Do not talk to me, or anyone in the family. Get away from here, Rosy, you disgust me," he said.

He didn't waste another second before he hopped onto the car with Linda.

Richard hardly got his seatbelt on before Linda slammed on the gas and sped away.

Her eyebrows scrunched together in worry and regret because it took her two days to find Mamie.
