Chapter 545 A Girl should be More Reserved

After turning her wardrobe upside down, Linda finally managed to find a silk scarf and she wrapped it around her neck. Wearing a scarf in this warm weather would make her look strange, but it would be much better than exposing the love bites to others.

As she wrapped the scarf around her neck, she kept scolding Charles in her mind. Why had he left so many marks on her neck? Bun's teasing and laughter had made her feel so embarrassed. It was all that shameless man's fault!

Cindy, who was only nineteen years old, was still a very pure and innocent girl. She had no experience in matters of love, because all she usually did was playing computer games and hacking other people's computers. So when she saw Linda rush back to the bedroom, Cindy got worried and asked Bun," Bun, is my sister wounded?"

With a big, teasing smile on her face, Bun nodded and touched Cindy's head. "Yes, your sister is wounded," said Bun.

Cindy's eyes instantly flashed with anger and she yelled," What? Why? How did my sister get hurt? Who hurt her?"

"It's your brother-in-law," Bun said with a sly smile.

"What? My brother-in-law? How could he do this to my sister? I won't let him bully her!" Cindy decided to interrogate Charles about it when he came back home. If it was true that Charles had bullied Linda, Cindy would definitely teach him a good lesson.

Cindy waited for the whole morning, but Charles didn't return. In the afternoon, Paul arrived at the villa. Upon seeing Paul, Cindy's eyes lit up with excitement, because she hadn't seen him for two days and she'd missed him so much.

She immediately ran up to him.

"Paul, you're finally back!" she said, her face glowing with a radiant smile.

Simply giving her one short glance, Paul nodded and said," Yes."

He had come to the villa to fetch some documents that Charles needed.

Without stopping in his tracks, Paul strode toward Charles's study.

Cindy was about to follow Paul into the study, but he stopped her at the door and said," This is Young Master's study. No one is allowed to go in without his permission."

"Then why can you go in?" Cindy felt unhappy at being stopped and chided by Paul.

Frowning, Paul explained," Because Young Master has granted me his permission. I came here to take some documents for him."

"What about my sister? Can my sister go into his study?" Cindy asked curiously.

Shaking his head, Paul pulled Cindy back to the living ro

in a serious voice," No, I don't feel that way for you."

"Then whom do you love? Bun? But she is already married! It's impossible for you to be together with Bun!"

Cindy said, tears flooding her eyes.

At the mention of Bun's name, Paul became upset. He indeed loved Bun, but he wouldn't do anything to pursue her since she was married. And yet, he couldn't bring himself to love another woman. Helplessly, Paul said," I know that she's married. And I also know that I can't be together with her. But you and me, that's impossible too!"

"Why? Give me a reason!" Cindy demanded.

"Cindy, we're not perfect for each other. You're very young. You still have a lot of chances to meet other men who are better than me. You are a nice girl, and you deserve someone better than me. Please don't waste your time on me anymore. It's worthless," Paul said and turned around, avoiding meeting her eyes.

Cindy grabbed hold of Paul's arm, and on the verge of tears, she said," Please, don't say that. Give me a chance; no, give us a chance and see whether we are suitable for each other or not. Okay? I'm serious. I really like you."

Paul turned back to Cindy and, for the first time, took her hands in his.

He could feel the warmth and softness of her creamy white hands.

"Please calm down and take time to think about it again," he said. "You're just nineteen years old. And besides, you know my feelings for Bun very well. She's still in my heart, now and forever. Anyway, Cindy, I must thank you for your love for me. But as a girl, you should be more reserved in front of men. Think about it properly again, okay?"
