Chapter 408 - 408 There are Supernaturals Within the Hunters

"Yes! That was his favourite line. I think most of the time he would submit his paperwork saying job done." Daniel laughs at the memory.

Leo smirks, "I cannot tell you the number of times that I had to pull him into the office. I would've gone after Valdis but now that he is free there is not a lot that we can do. They think that they will get away with this. They do not know what is going to happen. I will make sure that in the end, he will pay for all the bloodshed today." 

Noah nods his head, "I thank you for everything. Do you need anything from us?" 

"If you do I promise that we will come back." Bell nodded her head.

"No, you two go. Clara needs some time with the two of you. There will be a message that will go out. You two are exempt from it. I am getting everyone to check-in. I want to see who is actually on our side. Those that show up will be tested. Those that do not check-in will have their licenses revoked. As I explained earlier. I will contact those that are all on dangerous missions." Leo looked at the wall and could feel the essence building up faster. 

Kitty looked up at him and took him into the closest office, slammed the door and kissed him on the lips. "I am sorry, I can't control my need." 

"It is part of being a guardian. I was starting to lose control. It builds up so fast I need it gone." Leo took out the knife and handed it to Kitty. "Cut where you want to drink from." 

Kitty took the knife and sliced the nape of his neck and licked the essence that spilled out. She bit in and started to drink. She drank for longer than what she did with Ketan but she manages to stop herself. She licked the wound and kissed the spot. 

"Better?" Leo saw her clam down and no longer felt like he was going to burst. 

"Mmmmmmm, better." Kitty opened the door and saw Ketan standing guard. "Thank you." 

"It is all part of my job. If you want to thank me, show the humans next time." Ketan walked away and went over to Brielle. "How are you doing?" 

"I-I am shocked but I will get over it with the right amount of time. I will have to think about things for a while. There is a lot that happened. Rex was a great mentor. I didn't know that he took another under his wing. Daniel, you are in pretty deep. Ask for help if you need it." Brielle laid her head on Ketan's shoulder.

~You know very well why I can't show the humans, Ketan.~ Kitty stepped out and looked at everyone that was standing there. "Sorry about that." 

Leo walked out and wrapped his arm around her waist. Let's call it a day. I do not think anyone has it in ourselves to do any more work for the day. Daniel, you and Gretta will move the bodies and place them in the cooler. We will let the family members know. I will bury Asurlon's body." He pulled out his phone but before he could make the call Gretta showed up. 

"Sorry for coming unannounced but I heard the explosion for my quarters and thought that my services might be needed." Gretta bowed and yawns. 

"You didn't attend the meeting that Leo had set up?" Daniel sighs and shakes his head. 

"There is no need. I can just watch the recording. I was resting. It is not an easy job." Gretta looks down and sees the five bodies. "Oh, how tragic. Asurlon… you were always good to me. May your soul rest in peace." 

"I would like you to move the bodies to the bas.e.m.e.nt and prepare them for burial, please," Leo said this and put his phone away. "I was going to call you anyways."

Kitty was still staring daggers at Ketan and turned to look at Gretta. She was a small lady that was shorter than five feet. 

Gretta looked at Kitty and smiled. "I may be small but I can take down a vampire in no time." She smiled and bowed to Kitty. "I am glad to meet you. I know about you and it is a pleasure to meet the Advocate in person... again."

Kitty looked at the lady and she finally remembered where she met this lady. "It has been a while hasn't it Adele? I did not recognize you at first but you finally let it shine through."

"Mmmmmm, yeah. I wanted you to see me again. You can pass our rune next." Gretta transforms into a fairy and kisses Kitty's cheek. "I will make sure that they know that I made the call." She transforms back and looks at the humans. "You guys may not know this but there are a few supernaturals working here. Rex was one and so am I. I will not say who else falls under this category as it is not my right to say so." 

"F.u.c.k…" Ketan moves further away from the fairy. 

Brielle looks at Ketan a little shocked. "What is going on?" 

Gretta giggles, "boy you are smart. Fairies naturally weaken Vampires. It is only the royals that can somewhat repel our magic. Ketan of course is different. Isn't that right, boy?" 

"Do not say anything else. I do not want to think about it right now." Ketan looks miserable. 

"Enough Adele. Just do what Leo wants you to. I am going to check of Charlette and then we are going home." Kitty turned and walked away. She entered Leo's office and Jenna was holding Charlette on the couch. "Is everything okay?" 

"Welcome back. Everything's just peachy! As for a baby, she does not get all that fussy but she might be a bit hungry." Jenna hands Charlette over to Kitty and picks up a blanket. 

Kitty sits down and looks at Charlette as she starts to look for food. "You are right she is hungry." Kitty starts to set up. "You can lay the blanket over me now."
