Chapter 390 - 390 Fourth Seal

"She is in her secret location. I am not allowed to say anything about that place but I can say this. When I arrived with your blood Ketan was about to break almost completely. He drained a lot of beasts. I fed him your blood and then casted the spell to tie him to her. It was a complete success." Rex let out a sigh.

"What about Brielle? I knew that they were planning to have her on standby." Leo asked before closing his eyes.

"She is safe. There was a need for her to come. Rest up and I will go back to your love. I will watch over her for the night and make sure that she is sane enough to work tomorrow." Rex patted Leo's shoulder and then disappeared like a cloud of smoke. 

Leo let out a sigh and laid back down in his bed. 'There is nothing more lonely than coming back to an empty bed. It is hard but I do not want her to have any issues and attack someone.' Leo laid down fully on the bed and stared at the ceiling before being able to decide whether or not to send a message to her. 'If she is sleeping it will disturb her but if she is awake then she will want to leave where she is.' He slowly rolled over in excruciating amounts of pain. 

Rex arrived in the cave and saw that Kitty was stable at this time and sleeping soundly. Rex kept his eye on her but leaned against the wall. 'I give her a few hours before she begs me to let her go.'

After rolling over a wave of sleep caught Leo unexpectedly. He welcomed it and let the slumber pull him under. 

Kitty kept her eyes closed but could feel Leo's thoughts. She chanted in her mind to ease him into sleep and drifted back into unconsciousness. Four hours passed and she opened her eyes and sat up. "Rex?"

Hearing her move he got up and came to her side. "Kitten, how are you feeling?" 

"The thirst has eased off but it burns inside like the seal is trying to break." Kitty clutched her chest in agony.

"Sh*t," Rex lifts her and takes her through the waterfall, to the middle of the pool of water. He pulled out his knife and stabbed his hand quickly and placed the bloodied hand over her heart. "Thy is the seal that is bound, it isn't thy time. Slumber once more and thy time will come." 

Kitty didn't feel any better. "Grandfather, it is not working. It is only going to be one more seal. With two guardians I should be able to handle it now. It is not easy but I broke four all at once and I was fine." She felt the seal start to crack within her body, "besides, this is no different than how the guys felt last night." As she finished that sentence the seal shattered and on reflex from the pain she curled up into a ball. Every part of her body was on fire and breaking apart.

Rex stood in the water and cupped his hands and dribbled water on her forehead. 

Yuki appeared next to the pool of water. "I thought you had everything under control Rex!" Yuki stood there furiously glaring at Rex. 

Rex turned and he showed her the tears that were rolling down his cheeks. "I tried, but I wasn't able to contain the seal. It shattered on its own. The most I can do is comfort her while she suffers the pain that I have put her through." 

Yuki climbed into the water and went to Kitty. "I see that you bound another to her. Did she agree to it?"

"If she didn't we wouldn't be talking about the bonded one and you would have a dead child." Rex looked at Yuki and sighed. "Ketan is bound to her and you know that Sylvie is deteriorating… right?"

"Ketan drank Leo's blood and it was a bit of a shock. I can read her memories just fine. As for Sylvie, I knew all about that but she is a strong-willed angel and knew that her days were numbered." Yuki bit into Kitty's neck and started to read the events from last night and once she saw what she wanted, so she closed the connection and checked the other seals. She healed the wound and looked at Rex. "She will recover just fine. The other seals are still solid but we will need to watch her more carefully than before or else there will just be a repeat of last night." 

Kitty heard Yuki's voice and opened her eyes. She looked into Yuki's eyes, "I am sorry that I have troubled you again. It is nice that you took the time to come and see me all the way out here." 

Yuki lifted Kitty up and walked back under the waterfall and placed her in the bed. "I am sorry. I read your memories of last night. You made the right choices. I even agree that putting him to sleep was the best option. Do not ever worry about troubling me. I drank a little of your blood and read your memories." Yuki kissed Kitty's forehead.

"I do not mind..." Kitty's eyes got heavy and she fell into a deep sleep before she could say anything else.

"It has been a long day. Rest up well. I will keep you in your dreams until your body recovers." Yuki said that as she knew that Kitty was still slightly aware but once she said those words the body she was holding went completely limp. "Rex, I will help keep her in a slumbering state. She needs to rest. She put Leo to sleep as he was suffering. I will check on my son and daughter and then come back here. I can tell that I am needed."

Rex followed her into the cave hideout and bowed towards her. "If that is what the Queen has decided that I have no qualms with her choices. You are the one that makes the rules for your people and I only have a few lives that I am in charge of. I will not fight you over it." Rex held up his hands and sat down.
