Chapter 370 - 370 Family Ties?

"Are you sure that is what you really want to do? You look like you are hurting. I do not want to overstep my boundaries but when it comes to her I can't seem to help it. What do you know about her that I would not know?" Leo looked at Rex confused.

"Sorry, Leo. I am not really making all that much sense. The Delacroix's asked for my help and we worked tirelessly for a month to create the seals. I know that moment that she broke three of them. I almost went to her but I was told not to interfere unless lives were at stake. Lives are not at stake but I want to see my grandbaby." Rex sat down on the couch and looked at Leo. "She is my daughter's daughter." 

"Does she know about this? I never knew that you had a daughter. I am pretty sure that she thinks that she does not have any family left. Rex, you should meet her. We have a beautiful baby girl together. It would be good for you to see her again." Leo buttoned but the new shirt and patted Rex's back. 

"I gave up that part of my life so that I would not bother them anymore. The fox demons are unique and I married into the family but my wife passed away and our daughter freed me from being tied down. I want to tell Kitsune this story as well." Rex looked up and sighed, "Can I come to your house tonight?" 

"You should know that by now that you are welcome at any point in time. I thought that it was the grandfather that passed away?" Leo looked confused. 

"It is hard to explain. I will go over it later with both of you." Rex laid down and covered his face with a newspaper.

Leo shook his head and went back to the computer. He sat down and finished off the emails. Once he finished and cracked his knuckles. "Well, that was eventful." He stood up and started to go to the door.

"I'm coming with you." Rex got up and followed Leo while yawning. 

"Sure but you might need to help." Leo shrugged and walked to Will's office and started to pack up everything. 

Rex looked at the papers and packed them in the boxes that were in the room. "Packing and moving this to the left side of the building. I think that it is a good idea for this one to go to the left and Brielle to the right. I will stick to my office in the back. Thankfully no one tries anything there but I have been making sure of that. Office checks happen often on my side and the ones that refuse to let me in, I break the door and they do not get another door until I know that they are not hiding anything. There was one worker that was watching f*cking p*rn in the middle of the day and let me in. I laughed but he told me, 'there is no point in hiding this as you will find out anyways. I was waiting for my next mission to come through.' It was hilarious."

Leo shook his head, "at least that one was honest with you. I saw the door replacement requests every so often and I would just laugh as I knew that you were up to something. I know that you did not approve of them so I forwarded them to you for approval. It was funny and now I know why some people would ask to move to another part of the building."

"Oh, I remember seeing those requests and I denied them. It was funny as all hell. The guy that was watching p*rn was the first one that did not allow me to break down the door. I was pleasantly surprised. I tried once a week for three months. When he was away on a mission there was a note left on the door. It said, 'Rex, I am away on a mission. Feel free to turn my office upside down. You are doing great on keeping the others in line.' I went in and he had everything all cleaned up. I turned everything upside down and left a note saying 'sorry for the mess.' then I went back on my checks.'

"You are lucky that no one reports you for harassment… no wait, I am sure they have." Leo started laughing. "You are amazing Rex." He closed the box he was working on. 

"I wouldn't be surprised if you got reports like that. I am an a*shole after all. I love pissing off the others. It feeds me. That is why I am surprised at how level headed Todd is. Like seriously it is not like I wanted him to agree with me but he doesn't feed me what I need." Rex smirked. 

"I think that you might not scare him because you act the same way all the time. I wonder what would happen if you treated him nicely?" Leo looked at Rex. 

"You know that I can not do that. If I do then I will be flagged as someone that does not treat everyone the same. I want to be the a*shole to everyone but I think I know where you are coming from. Hmmmmm, if I could get away with it, it might be amusing. Thank you, Leo." Rex watched Leo finish the box and moved it on the trolly. "I am surprised that you are helping those two move offices."

"If I do not help my people while they are away on a secret mission, what kind of boss would I be?" Leo looked at that desk and started packing everything up.

"True. Will is Lucky. His wife to be is a sweetheart. I have seen how doting he is with her. I do not normally pry into the lives of the other hunters but when it comes to you. I can not help but do it. You are my student and now I know that you are marrying my grandbaby. That is strange isn't it?" Rex helped empty the filing cabinet.
