Chapter 369 - 369 Who is Rex?

"That low life did not stand a chance. I finally tracked him down. I wanted to let you know in person that I will conform to your ways but at the same time, I will still be on the kill and tracklist. Vampire, if you ever hurt my leader you will be at the top of my list, understand?" Rex stood up and stared at Ketan.

Jenna felt a shiver run up her spine. She sank deeper into the couch.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well. I am someone that is under the direct command of the Advocate so I will make sure that I do nothing to become your target." Ketan bowed to Rex.

"Seriously, Rex? I thought that you were going to be happy but here you are threatening my vampire bodyguard." Leo Looked up at Rex and started to analyze him. "I do however need your help. I want you to join Brielle's team on the watch position. Are you up for the task?"

Rex stared at Leo, "I remember when you and Brielle started training. I was glad that you both were my students. You both have grown up fast. I know that you would've chosen me to help you but I am your shadow killer and I much prefer to do that type of work. Then again this target is one that can be killed if they try to escape?" 

"Jenna and Ketan can you both go out in the hall. There is something I need to tell Rex and it is best to do this alone. I will be fine. He is my teacher and I know that he will not hurt me." Leo smiled and looked up at Ketan.

"Okay, I will get the wee one to show me the way to the offices. If you need me just call." Ketan walked away and grabbed Jenna by the wrist. "Come we shall go get started.

Jenna went with Ketan quietly as she was still scared from Rex's intimidating Aura.

Once the door closed Leo got out of his chair and walked up to Rex. "Now that everyone is gone, Rex what I really want you to do is be the Shadow that watches all groups. I get the feeling that there are people on the inside that want Valdis to become free. I could pinpoint them but with no evidence, I can not convict them.? So the real mission that you will have is to find and kill the ones that help him escape. I do want you to check in on Brielle. It has been how long since you last chatted with her?" 

"Two years. I have been doing shadow work and going from one mission to the next. You do not think that her group will be the one but the group that will have two leaders. I like the idea of watching everyone and the fact I can kill the betrayers. It excites my blood. I will chat with her but at the same time I will watch the people. They tend to find me intimidating. It must be because of my reputation. Not that I care." Rex shrugs.

"Brielle might have something to tell you but I do not know if she does or not. I am merely speculating. She is still upset over everything that happened and I know that you did everything that you could to help her." Leo watched Rex's expression. 

"Leo, you know what I did to get his soul to be tortured? It was most pleasing. He will pass away eventually and when he does then I will enjoy the sweet sweet torture that will come with it." Rex licked his lips. 

Leo reached out and covered Rex's eyes. "You are entering your natural state Rex. That is why people are afraid of you. They think that you are legitimately the devil. Not that it is a bad thing and honestly it is nice to see you in your demon form."

Rex sniffed the air and pushed Leo down on the desk. He tore Leo's shirt and saw the mark. "When did this happen? I thought you were going to find your girl… your girl was a supernatural?" 

"Yes, she is the Advocate. I did not know that I fell for a fox demon but now I would do anything to keep her in my life. I bear her mark." Leo let his ears and tail come out.

Rex watched the ears appear and helped Leo stand back up. "I am sorry that I freaked out. I thought that you were forced to join that person. Is it really the girl you worked so hard to find. I tried everything to help you hunt her down." 

"It really is her." Leo pulled out his personal phone and pulled up her picture. "This is her without the ears and tail." He swiped and then showed Rex her sitting on the couch rubbing her belly. 

"She is in her natural state. So she has met Luke and is okay with you having a werewolf around? Wait she is the Advocate and I felt something shift…" Rex stops talking and looks at the wall. 

"What's up Rex? You are a little lost in thought. Are you okay?" Leo looked at Rex as he took off his shirt. He tossed it in the trash and went back to the desk and pulled out a new top. 'I am going to need to buy more shirts at this rate. I did not think that I would actually go through so many.'

"The runes shifted. You may not be able to feel it but the older the supernatural the more sensitive you become. The rune of life is exposed that means that girl is transferring runes. Leo, I know your girl. I have met her when she was a baby. She was a being that should not have been born and survived but everyone worked hard on saving her. I had a hand in that but from the shadows. I do not know if I can meet Kitsune yet." Rex looked at Leo somewhat sadly.
