Chapter 367 - 367 Attempt on His Life

Jenna hopped over to the tea area and started to make the tea. "I was surprised that you chose Thompson as your receptionist. I am glad that I am still able to help Bree. I might not know your name but I am Jenna. I am the receptionist for Brielle and I am a backup hunter. I am only go out on missions if there is a dire need for it. I am not supposed to be out hunting alone as I am still considered a trainee and Bree asked me to help her." She turned and waved at Ketan. 

"When that offer came to you I was the one that got Asurlon to approve of the request because you were so young at the time your parents passed away and Brielle has been happy to have the help. I will allow you to continue with your work. Do not worry I will not force you to a different job." Leo looked back at the screen and made a few more quick replies.

"It is good to meet you, Jenna. I am Ketan. I was sent here to help as per the Advocate's orders. You will see me around a lot more. I am sure that in time I will find my fated partner." Ketan went and sat on a chair next to Leo.

"Personal security? I think that is a good idea and a vampire will be able to save you. They are sensitive to all sorts of things." Jenna brought the tea over and placed it on the desk. "Do I need to help relocate Brielle's office?" 

Leo looked at the tea and smiled, "I will wait until she gets back. I want to know which office the two want before we move them. Both Will and Brielle need to move." 

"Ah, that is right. I will just pack things up. I hope that she will come back soon. I miss being able to work with her. She has been working so hard." Jenna went and grabbed a cup and offered it to Ketan. "Or do you prefer blood in your tea?" 

"This will do. Thank you though. If I am here and you need help moving anything big I can do that for you guys." Ketan took the tea and smelled it and drank it. "I must say the hint of honey and poison is an interesting touch. Next time if you want to poison a vampire I suggest you use batrachotoxin. It will be more effective than the Potassium Cyanide that you used but it was a good try. I am not even mad at you." 

Leo chuckled and drank his tea. "Jenna, I told you that you could not harm him. I am not sure why you even tried. Ketan please excuse her actions." 

Jenna pouted, "I did not like the way you said Bree's name. Leo why must you agree to this? Although maybe it is a good idea to keep an eye on him." 

"I am also going to help with that mission but I will not be on the same team as Brielle. As for Brielle, I am grateful for the help that she has given me. I have nothing but respect for her and you do not actually need to worry. I will not do anything that will harm her. So do not worry." Ketan placed the empty cup down on Leo's desk. He could feel the magic burning through the poison and breaking it down. 

"Jenna, I thought I told you not to do anything. Do I need to call Brielle and tell her what you just tried to do?" Leo pulled out his phone and held his finger over speed dial four.

"Nooooooo, I am sorry." Jenna sat there frozen.

Brielle's voice came through the speakers, "What did you do?" 

"Brielle it was nothing but a prank." Ketan spoke up for the girl. 

Leo chuckled and saw Brielle sigh on the computer screen. "Ketan, even if it is just a prank there are things that she must realize. Even if I am not there she is not supposed to do things that go against the wishes of Leo." Brielle motioned for Leo to turn the computer screen. Leo turned the screen and Brielle looked at Jenna. "What do you have to say for yourself?"

"I am sorry Ketan. I will not do it again! Also, thank you for the advice. I will make a note of that." Jenna pulled out the book and jotted down what he had said. 

"Brielle, sorry for causing you some alarm. I am perfectly fine. The poison is already out of my system. I do not feel a need for blood So I think that is a win." Ketan came around and poked his head out so that she could see him. 

Leo looked at Jenna. "I warned you. I was on a call with Brielle as soon as you came in the room. I knew that you would try something. So I gave you a warning. Brielle, you heard that I want to move your offices, correct? Have you thought about which one you are going to take over?" 

"Ah, yes. Will and I discussed it. I am going to be in the right-wing. I will be taking over your old office and Will said that he would take over the left-wing office. Since that is the wing that needs more monitoring." Brielle waved at the door.

"Leo, the left side is where Valdis had his men. They were away from you. I would feel bad if Brielle went over there. It is going to need a lot of cleaning up. I do not have a receptionist but I will be okay until the right fit comes. Until then I will ask that if Ketan does not mind if he could help move my stuff that would be great but that can be done tomorrow. Also, we will be leaving in an hour." Will gave Leo a report happily. "Sam is glad to be going home."
