Chapter 366 - 366 Jenna the Hunter

"You filthy low-level vampire will do nothing of the sort! I will not resign. Someone here has to make sure that the hunter's association does not fall into shambles. Leo, I want to know where the Captive is!"

"Captive?" Leo thinks for a moment. "Oh, you are talking about Alario. I, of course, freed him. When the Advocate talked we decided that since he was someone that the Advocate knew that he needed to be set free. So I did that and now that Advocate has agreed to come here this week. The individual will probably be able to come on Wednesday. I am still working out the fine details. I will also be introducing my fiance." 

"You f*cking freed him!!!! He is dangerous, you know that?" Steve raised his hands in a dramatic fashion.

"Look that man had been a captive and never did anything to anyone. You should know that the association will be changing. This is something that was decided so long ago when my parents were going to change things. If you do not like it, then leave." Leo stopped typing and gave an intimidating glare at Steve.

"You do not scare me. I will make sure that the captive gets recaptured." He took steps back to the door and then fled the room.

Berry saw Steve flea and then knocked on the door before entering. He closed the door and looked at Leo's expression. "If I was in your bad books I would bolt at that look as well. I am glad that I was next to come in to chat with you." 

Leo went back to a straight face and replied to the next email. "What can I do for you, Berry?" 

"Asurlon and you are going to set up teams to watch Valdis. I am volunteering to watch a team; two teams are probably not going to be enough." Berry looked at Ketan and bowed his head.

"Ah, yes that is true. I will allow you to co-lead with Ketan. I know that you are not used to the idea of a vampire working with us but he is a great fit for the job and he is the Advocates right-hand man. So there will be no issues using him." Leo sent off the email and looked at Ketan. ~I can not trust anyone else for the third team.~

Ketan bowed to Leo, "if it is the will of the Advocate then I have no way to reject." He stood up straight again. ~I really don't care. I get the feeling that the third group would be the scapegoat group. I will do all that I can but I will also check on the other groups. I do not like everything that has been going on and I feel like somewhere along the line there will be a trap.~

~I think that you are correct. I hate all of this. There were many secrets and by the time we let down our guard something bad would happen.~ Leo was scanning the email again. "Was that everything Berry?"

"Yes, sir. That was all. I will not waste anymore of your time and there are only two other people waiting to chat with you." Berry bowed and left the room. 

There was a knock at the door and a short female entered the room. "Leo~ It is Jenna. I wanted to congratulate you on becoming the head and finding a spouse. It has been a while since we last met. Can I make you some tea?" 

Leo stopped but not before clicking on the call button on the screen and looked up at the lady, "Jenna, I am sorry. Everything was hectic. I am glad that you heard the news. Will you participate in the special mission that I have set forth?" 

"You bet! I hope that I can work with Bree! I know that it is not for sure but I am requesting to team up with her. I like that we females are helping each other and Bree is the only one that does not shun me." Jenna was staring at Ketan.    

"I wouldn't try anything with him if I were you. You would upset Brielle. As for your request, I will take it into consideration." Leo looked at Ketan.

"I may not be a tamed vampire but I am levels above the rest. I think that you are a good person. It is just that you have a lot of energy." Ketan looked at the girl and smiled.

"Oh my goodness. You are the third person to say those words to me. Leo was the first and Brielle was the second. I really respect both of them and I would do anything to help them out." Jenna bowed her head to Ketan, "although I am curious why Bree would get upset if I did something to him?" She places her finger to her lips. 

"That is because I have helped her out and she feels indebted to me," Ketan said this while looking at the girl. 

~I think that is a good reason do not tell her that you will mark her… at least not yet.~ Leo looked back at the screen and replied to the email confirming that the target could be killed. "Do not worry I am watching this one closely. I know that you worry but I think you should let her find a partner."

"Yes, I do think that it is time to move on. I saw her suffer and I wanted to kill that guy but you forbid me from doing so." Jenna dug her nails into the palm of her hand. "I really hate that you let him live."

"It was Brielle's request. I can not allow you to go against her wishes and I know that you do not want her to get upset at you. So you were not allowed to do anything." Leo let out a sigh and stopped looking at the computer screen. "I will take that tea now please, Jenna."
