Chapter 361 - 361 The Photoshoot Continues

Michelle came in and looked at Kitty. "You look like you are ready for the wintertime all bundled up in that dress. It's very cute." She got in front of Kitty and wiped her makeup off. "I will do a smokey design that would drive anyone wild. You are so beautiful and no matter what I do your face stays so clear." 

Janet put Kitty's hair down and brushed it. She then started to curl her hair. "I am curling your hair for the rest of the shoot. I want to play with curls now. I know that it will take longer but we have a lot of time and we should have fun with this." She took her time curling Kitty's hair.

Kitty thought about the rune long and hard as Michelle did her make up. She was able to get it fade but not disappear fully. She started to mumble under her breath. As she did that the rune faded from sight. "Thy is needed to hide in the shadows, where you will be safe from the unwanted attention, that will keep your keeper safe." She looked up at Michelle and smiled.

"You are seriously lucky that I took this job. I was going to turn it down and I had every intention to do so but if it was not for the fact that Liz dropped your name I would've. What would you have done if it was a human that was doing your makeup and hair?" Michelle was looking at Kitty's hand.

"If you two were not here then I would've waited until after the photoshoot was over. I am not stupid. I know that there is not much that I can do if I am surrounded by humans. You never know when one of them is a bad guy or girl. Hunters are both after all." Kitty shook her hand.

"There the curls are in. Your hair will be down in this shot so let's go to the living room." Janet helped Kitty leave the trailer. She leads Kitty into the house so that she is not out in the sun a lot.

Kitty sits on the couch and looks at Luke and Sylvie. "What are you two discussing?" 

Sylvie turned to Kitty smiling. "I know why you did what you did. I am surprised and at the same time, I am not. I just want you to know that I support you, my friend." She stopped talking as the voices from outside moved inside. 

Luke walked away and went to Charlette who was waking up from her nap in the swing. She squealed and flailed her little arms and legs. 

Liz came inside and zeroed in on Charlette. "She's awake! Please oh please Katherine, I want to hold her again. She is to precious to not hold." 

Luke took Charlette out of the swing. "I will let you hold her but first she needs a diaper change. So why don't you finish this shoot and then you can hold her?"

"That is very reasonable. I will do just that. Thank you, Luke. You are like a knight in shiny armor. I did not expect that you would be so attached to the baby. As you are not real siblings." Liz watched him. 

"It doesn't matter. I treat Tiana the same way, She is still, my sister. The ties might now be blood-related but Mother took her in and I love her nonetheless. If you took in someone else's child to be your own, you would love them too would you not? I am adopted and I know that there are no blood ties between us but I still love them. I wouldn't change my family for anything." Luke took a step up the stairs and Charlette make a loud squeal and her hand reached for his face. 

Liz lifted up the camera and snapped a quick picture. "Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. I was only trying to figure this out. Thank you for explaining it to me." She bowed after the picture was taken.

Kitty pulled the collar of the sweater up and was giggling inside. 

Liz turned to Kitty and snapped her picture. "You dare to laugh at me? You knew about his feelings didn't you?"

"I sure did. I am his godmother. His mother and father died in a car crash and he got lost in the system. Even though I was to get him, he disappeared so that is why I know about this." She picked up a mug and pretended to drink. 

Liz started to take more pictures. "I am sorry for being insensitive. I did not know the circ.u.mstances that he was going through. I thought that he was just a teenage boy. You have been through so much Katherine." 

Kitty smiled and held the mug out happily. "Everything that I have gone through has only made me a better person. I am the way I am because I have been through everything that I have. Between losing my parents, grandmother, friends, family… I have gained a lot as well. I have a loving spouse, a baby that will forever tie us together, found my long lost godson, adopted the cutest little girl, and I still have all my friends that support me. I know what it is like to lose everything." Kitty put the mug down and went to the fireplace. She held her hands out to the invisible flame and looked up at the camera.

"Wow, you have been through a lot as well. This is one of the first times you have told me about your personal life. I never knew that you were an orphan but you know what? This just makes you a better person. Through all your hardsh.i.p.s you have held on strong. You have kept yourself positive and lived on. I want you to know that I sincerely respect you. I am proud to be your boss but also your friend. May we stay friends until we part from this world." Liz smiled happily.
