Chapter 287 - 287 Let Us Move is the Right Direction

Sylvie knocked on the door, "I do not talk about that place a lot. I just have lived there for over a hundred years so of course most of my stories have to do with that place. There haven't been any humans that have sought us out in a while, which is really nice. As much as I like the humans having them come and demand that we turn them doesn't bode well with me. We usually take the memories of that place away and take them back down the mountain. Usually, they never return. When they return a second time or the magic doesn't work that is when we let them stay with us." She touched the dark red circle at their place.

"I think that is a noble thing to do. Have you turned anyone lately?" Leo watched Sylvie's expression and saw that she smiled.

Emerson spoke up, "we have one maid girl that was turned. There was an incident and the girl was attacked on her way up the steep slope. I happened to save her and brought her back to the house. I can not turn a human into a vampire as I do not have that skill so I asked Sylvie to do it. Sylvie at first didn't want to do it as others blood does not taste good when you have a partner but I said that the girl tried to get here we need to save her. It honestly was the best thing we did."

"I remember that day, I asked the girl if she wanted to live and if she did all she needed to do was squeeze my hand. I felt her weakly squeeze my hand so I sliced my hand open and healed some of the external wounds. I bite her neck and drank her blood. It was gross but I stuck to it and then forced her to drink my blood. The thing is my poison was already spreading but that is not enough to turn a person. After she drank my blood the internal wounds healed. I watched and waited to see if she would corrupt or be a lucky soul to live." Sylvie smiled and looked at Leo, "she of course lived and is one of the best helpers we ever had. It took a while for her to get used to being a vampire."

"I think the most interesting thing about her is that she was not trying to get to our place but she heard that there is a rare herb that grows at the top of the mountain. The snow dew, now that's not to say that it does not grow up there as it does but it does not work on humans. She was eighteen and was dying and decided that if she was going to die then she might as well try to achieve something in the process." Emerson nodded and smiled.

"Strong-willed girl. I am glad that you guys saved her in the end. I take it the town she lived in was not well advanced or the time period was not advanced. Wait, I have a job that I need to get done. Could I trouble you to take me to this location?" Leo pulled out his phone and showed her the geographical location of the second place.

"Oh shit, we are totally keeping you from your work. How about be help you out as well? That way we can finish faster." Sylvie looked at the site and touched Emerson and Leo and they disappeared from in front of Kitty.

Kitty bursts into giggles then goes to the bedroom and changes into some lounging wear. She goes downstairs to the kitchen table. She drank her tea after reheating it with magic and waited for lunch to be served.

Nathan came out of the kitchen carrying a bowl full of caesar salad and placed it and some dinner rolls on the table. "Good afternoon, Kitty."

"Good Afternoon, Nathan. How are you finding living here so far? Are you fitting in well?" Kitty smiled and took a sip of tea.

"The job is super easy and I am in love with the family atmosphere. Carlos has been showing me some tricks when he can. It must be hard for him to be away from his kitchen for such a long time. I am able to keep up on the prep pretty easily. I think I am fitting well just fine." There was a timer that went off in the kitchen, "please excuse me." He bowed and went back to the kitchen.

Luke pushed the cradle into the dining room and then went into the kitchen to grab the place settings. Quickly he set up the table, then started bringing the meal to the table. There was a cheesy gooey pasta, keyline lemon chicken, and a cold pasta salad. He quickly got everything at the table and then sat down next to Kitty.

Cindy came into the dining with Tiana. "That smells absolutely divine. I am so blessed that I can eat this amazing food at any point in time." She sat down and set Tiana on a chair next to her. Slowly she placed some food on the plate for Tiana and she cut up the chicken first and then added it to her plate.

Kitty giggled and then looked at everyone who arrived into the dining room. "I want to thank each and every single one of you for joining in the cause. I know that it is not easy to choose to help a hunter but when there is at least one soul that we can trust and that would be Leo. Yes, it seems prejudiced because he is the father of Charlette. But it is not because of that I am blessed that he is the one that will help us build on the things that were only a dream of before. It is now a reality. I will become what I was meant to be and that will shift the world but in a better direction. I just wanted you guys to know what was going on in my midset." Kitty lifted up her teacup and drank the tea.
