Chapter 277 277 Dilapidated Cabin in the Woods

"I have been hunting and I have yet to come across anything but I do believe that there is one. I can not believe that he would report every house he owns with all the secrets he has kept already. I will keep up the hunt and I will help you sort out an extraction team. When everything is sorted I will let you know and as for the captive I will get that pushed so that you can go back to relaxing." Asurlon bows and gets up. He walks to his computer and slowly starts to click away on the computer.

Ketan walked to Leo, took him to the next location and then looked at Leo. "Who is it that you want to bring with you? I will go to collect them."

"I think that you and Carlos will suffice." Leo looked at the dilapidated cabin in the woods. 'This is an eerie place. I wonder what secrets it will hold?'

"Okay, I will be back then." Ketan turned and left Leo standing in front of the house. He appeared in the kitchen and looked at Carlos.

"Ah, it is time. I will come just give me a moment I am just making some tea for Kitty. She needs to relax a little more. So I made a tea to help her rest." Carlos adds the honey and then the boiling water to the pot.

"Sleeping powder? Do you think it will work on her and will it be harmful to the baby?" Ketan looks at the pot. 'Hmmmmm, I think that these guys are going to the extreme but I mean with Kitty you kind of have to.'

Cindy came into the room, "it is safe I have made sure of it. I was the one that suggested that it gets used. Otherwise, she will keep trying to do things that she does not need to worry about. I want her to rest and be happy but she is a fool. She will do anything if it will help someone out. I've known her, her entire life. I know what I am talking about. Carlos, I will take this to Kitty, you have something that you need to do so go and get it done."

Nathan looked at the three of them, "I will handle the meals while you are gone. I know what we are supposed to be cooking if I need help I will ask someone to come but I believe that I will be fine on my own."

"Thanks, I will be back as soon as we are done." Carlos placed the lid on the teapot then added it to the tray, "let the tea sit for five minutes then bring it up to her. I hope that she won't be able to smell the sleeping powder after it steeps for that long. I'm ready Ketan."

Ketan walked up to Carlos and ports him to the woods where Leo was waiting. "We're back sorry for the wait. Carlos was making more tea for Kitty."

"It's okay, I did not mind waiting beside, it wasn't that long of a wait. I am glad that you made it safely. Ketan can you hear any heartbeats and Carlos do you smell that?" Leo looked at the house and could smell something burning.

"What is that? It is something sweet burning but not like marshmallows. That is one strange scent. I wonder what it could be?" Carlos looks confused at the cabin.

Ketan listened, "There are no heartbeats in this place.  Also, there is another build in these woods I can hear an abnormal heartbeat from the place. I think it is something that we should check out." He looked back at the cabin and thought that it would be better for this place to be burnt to the ground.

"Okay, we will go check out that location as I feel that this place might just be a decoy." Leo took a step to the front door and then went inside after unlocking the door. The inside was completely renovated. 'Hmmm, interesting. Maybe the outside is the decoy. I think that the inside looks stable and there is nothing that needs to be watched out for. If I was just doing a quick routine check I would assume that the outside is the same inside. Leo walked to the first door on the right and opened it and inside was a chemical room. He stepped inside and started reading the labels NaOH, HCl….Whelp I think I found the main chemical room.' After looking through the room he left the room and pulled out a marker and wrote on the door PACK UP ALL.

Ketan came inside and looked around, "I can see that this place must have something that needs to be hidden. I will go to the basement. I will come and get you if I find what we could be looking for."

Carlos followed Leo and saw the chemicals, "this is quite the surprise. Do you want me to follow you or go upstairs?"

"Thank you, Ketan, since it is just the three of us in this place it should be safe to separate but if you think it would be safer to stick together then we can do that as well. I am not picky. I will be labeling doors that need to be packed up. We have too much to get done and I want to cut down the time. The only things that we will be taking are the things that we need to keep safe." Leo walked to the next door and opened it up. Inside the room was a chair in the middle of the room.

"I will go upstairs but if you need my help just call me and I will come." Carlos turned and went upstairs and started to explore the rooms.

Cindy walked up the stairs and knocked on the bedroom door. When she didn't hear a reply she opened the door and looked at Kitty who was resting on the bed. 'At least you are sleeping for now.'
