Chapter 275 275 I Will Test All Food

"He is outside the door. Thankfully I put up a barrier that no one could get through." After she made sure Leo was dressed she took the barrier down and Ketan walked through the door.

Ketan points at Kitty, "Kitsune, you sleep. I do not want to come back and find out that you did not rest. I will take care of Leo for you. Where are we heading first?" Ketan looked at Leo but didn't say anything else.

"We need to go to the office. I will start a set of paperwork to free someone. After that, we will go to the first house or maybe I should say the third house from yesterday. I know that we fell behind because of the baby coming but that is not a big issue. We can and will finish those four places today. As well I will need to watch the time. When the paperwork is done I want to get him moved here as fast as possible." Leo looked at Ketan and then back at Kitty.

"I think that is reasonable. I will take you to the office and then we will come and pick up the others that we will be bringing with us. Brielle is back at the safe house. I dropped her off and she has my number so that if something happens I have asked her to call me." Ketan looks at Kitty to see how she will respond.

"You are doing the right thing Ketan. She is falling in love with you. You both need each other." Kitty nods and then leans back on the pillows. "Telling her your number is a good idea but you could just open a link to her or are you afraid that you might hear her inner thoughts?"

Leo listened to the conversation and remembered that when she was with Ketan's parents he could not connect with her. He picked up her phone and handed it to her. "Why couldn't I connect with you when you disappeared?"

"There are some things in that barrier that prevents chatting. Sylvie must have forgotten that I added that feature. It was to make sure that the information did not get leaked. Sometimes a supernatural being will stumble upon that place and to keep the information from leaking I made it so that outside interference would not work." Kitty took her phone and texted Scarlet. ~Come over for dinner tonight. The baby has been born early and is very healthy. I will be waiting for your reply.~ She closed her phone and looked at the guys. "Good luck with everything today."

"Your explanation makes sense. Please rest up well and I will come home once everything is done. Thank you, love." Leo walked over to Kitty and kissed her cheek.

Ketan walked up the Kitty and patted her shoulder. "I will see you again later." He walked to Leo's side and took him to the office. "She will be fine Leo. I promise that one day she will not be like this anymore. She might still need essence but not in this quantity. Who are you helping here?"

"I understand fully well that one day she will improve. I'm not mad about it. I am mad that there is nothing that I can do for her. I am vowing to protect her and be there for her but I can't even guard her form the few things that keep disrupting our life." Leo turns on his desktop and then goes through the steps to unlock the computer. "There is a supernatural that Kitty knows that is locked up here so I am helping to get him free."

"Leo, you are doing a lot for her. Think about it this way, if you did not come into her life she would've died when her people were killed. An entire race wiped out because of a hunter who is corrupted. Or she might have been captured and used in weird experiments as she is not a normal being. Sylvie and I would be doing everything in our powers to save her but it would be tricky. Leo, do not look down on yourself. I know that it is not easy to be in that situation but I know that one way or another everything will work out. Besides you have an adorable baby girl to brighten up your world." Katan smiled and looked at the office walls, "if it is someone Kitty knows then all the more reason to save him."

"Thanks, Ketan. Maybe I am just stressing out over something that is beyond my control but I am happy that I could be here and I love Kitty with all my heart so I will do all that I can to protect her." Leo got into the system and started typing up a release report. "I will ask that you stay here in the office while I go and chat with Alario. Alario is a good individual I always wanted to save him. I do not want him to ingest something that could kill him." Leo hit print after writing up the report.

"I will do as you ask and wait here in the office. I will be sitting here on the couch. So do what you need to do." Ketan went and sat down on the couch.

"I'll be back." Leo left the room by the hidden door and went straight to Alario. He tapped on the security door and the security guard looked up at him first glaring then doing a complete three-sixty when he saw it was Leo. "I need to speak to the captive in room seven."

"Yes, Sir! Sorry for the glare I had an individual come all evening and continued in the morning trying to get to the same captive. I thought you were him again. Please go ahead." The guard bowed his head.

Leo stopped but didn't show the startled look in his facial expression. "That is interesting. Make sure that no one goes into that room until I say so. Captive seven will not be needing any food. There is a chance the captives might get poisoned. Be sure to personally test all food given them today."

I will use the mice to test all food and if there is any that is poisoned I will let you know in my report." The guard saluted Leo.
