Chapter 261 261 Convinced Ketan

Leo hands Charlette back to Kitty and looks at her questioningly. 'From her facial expression, she is focusing on a telepathic conversation. I will bet it is with Ketan. I wonder why he just does not come here and say out loud?' Once he made sure that Kitty was holding Charlette he took a step back and focused on his ears and tail disappearing. He did as Kitty said and didn't force it. Slowly the ears and tail disappeared.

"Good Job, Darling. You have successfully turned back to your human appearance. Now there is a chance that if you get to overwhelmed or if you get a shock of a lifetime that you will transform back as the fox demon form is now your natural state. It is normal for something unexpected to force you to transform as you are new to this. I have years of experience transforming and the reason Charlette looks human is because she is still too little to hold the transformations. So as her mother I am the one tasked to help suppress the ears and tail." Kitty rocked Charlette and was waiting to see what Ketan had to say to what she said.

"I see. I didn't think about our daughter's ears and tail before but I guess that makes perfect sense. Will she be okay when she gets older?" Leo looks at Kitty and smiles. "I will do my best to not get startled."

"It is hard to say right now. She is too young to know but she is a direct descent so she should be fine. I know that you will do your best, Darling." Kitty smiled at Leo and walked over to him. She leaned her head on his shoulder.

Ketan walked into the dining room and saw Kitty, Leo, and he glared at Sylvie. "You are in on this aren't you? There is no way Kitty would do this on her own."

Sylvie looked at Kitty and then at Ketan confused, "Ketan, I have no idea what you are talking about. I was not in that conversation. I don't have the ability to connect whenever I want. Kitty has always connected our conversations when it's the three of us or you unknowingly connected to me. I never had the ability, to begin with."

"Wait...what?" Ketan looked at Sylvie confused, "I didn't know that. I always thought that you could connect because sometimes you would reply to what I said but it seems that maybe I left the channels open?"

"Ketan, you don't actually know that Sylvie only has abilities that you never had. You two are twins but there is a high chance that the two of you would not have the same abilities. When I met Sylvie. I created a way for her to open the connection while you two were equal as for when you guys talked to each other. As for the years before me, you must have left the connection open and as for now I can only say that I keep that connection open but I closed it for that conversation as not everything needs to be heard by everyone so Sylvie does not know what I said to you and neither does anyone else for that matter. So Ketan what will you do about it?" Kitty walked up to Ketan. ~You need to know that I will do anything to help you regain what is meant to be yours and Sylvie has been ready for years yet you refuse to give her the peace that she wants. How can you keep dragging this out?~

~I won't do it. I can't bring myself to do it, Kitsune. She has a true name just like anyone of us. It doesn't sit well with me that you knew all of this and I still do not want that human to be brought to the cave. I will not risk her safety.~ Ketan glared at Kitty.

Kitty stared at him angrily. ~I'm afraid that you will not have a choice in the matter besides you will not notice her until you kill all the beasts in the cave. I will keep her safe Ketan. I will not let any harm come to the two of you. You should know that she is not a weak human and even with everything she has gone though she still is surviving. I will let her tell you her story.~

~Fine you win this round. I will do as you say but if anything bad happens I will come after you.~ Ketan turned away and disappeared from sight.

~Go and continue that task I gave you earlier and remember I still have more power than you. We are not equaled even if you have lived longer.~ Kitty cut the connection and shook her head. "Sylvie, I convinced him. He knows what we are planning and that is why he is angry at you and me. There is nothing that he can do about it as I already made up my mind and with me being the more powerful of the three of us he has to listen. Do you think I took it too far?"

"No," Sylvie shook her head, "it is better that he knows what is going to happen, I am a little surprised that you were able to convince him but you are right about being stronger." She reached her arms out, "may I hold Charlette the firstborn from a higher being?"

"Of course you can!" Kitty hands Charlette over to Sylvie and then looks at Leo.

"I am a little confused but you are doing something that Ketan does not agree with and you will not listen to him because you are doing this for his own good is what I am gathering from this. I do not know what you are doing but I am sure that you, my love will tell me what is going on." Leo looked down at her and smiled.

"Yes, of course, I will tell you. Let's go for a walk outside. Sylvie the connection is open if Charlette needs me just call me." Kitty turned and went to the front door and left the house.
