Chapter 258 258 This Feels Like Home

"I think that you are right, Darling. I can remember hearing you ask me something but I can not remember what I said or what you asked but knowing is the first battle. As for Fakhir, the dream was just showing me all the ways that he will come after me but I saw him at least ten different times so I now know what he looks like. I think that he is an interesting character but you will hate how he tries to get close to me. I can guarantee it. He will try to seduce me to get close to you. I think it is a joke that he thinks that a witch can not be the clan leader, so I think it will be funny when he falls for that trap." Kitty looks up at him, "do not worry. You are the only man for me."

"I think leading him into the trap will be fun but I do not like that he will try to seduce you. We should go home. I do not know when our daughter will need food and we have been here for about an hour. Also, you need to eat something." Leo looks at her tenderly and waits to see what she will say.

"Okay, I am quite hungry now. Let's go home and relax." Kitty stays lying on his lap and transports them back to their place and on the couch on their bedroom. "It is tragic that I have to get up now. I was quite comfortable." She chuckled and got up from his lap.

"We can always relax after our daughter and you have eaten. I have problems if you want to lay around on the couch. We have Cindy and she can look after Charlette." Leo got up after her and followed her down the stairs.

The group had finished eating and had moved to the living room. Stella had Charlette lying on the couch. She was playing peek a boo with Charlette.

Charlette looked up at the vampire. She was throwing her hands and legs around happily.

Tiana was sitting on the floor watching and was smiling, "Little sister looks happy!"

Luke was sitting on the floor and was watching Charlette, making sure that she did not fall off the couch. 'She can not roll yet but I still worry. She isn't even that old but she is already a huge part of everyone's lives.'

Kitty peeked her head in and saw that all was calm so she went to the kitchen and poked her head in.

"I didn't know that you had come back. If you want something to eat I saved you some dinner already. It will take a moment to heat up. I will bring it to you." Carlos was prepping some whole chickens for cooking tomorrow when he sensed her standing at the entranceway.

"Some food would be good, please and thank you, Carlos." Kitty turned and sat down at the table as she thought about everything that had happened within the last twelve hours. 'That was too much that has happened in the last twelve hours. If I wasn't the way I am, it would've been hard on me.'

Leo had followed her quietly around and sat down next to her. "Is there something else that is on your mind?" He reached over and placed his hand on her thigh.

Kitty rested her head on his shoulder.  "It is not much, Darling. Just that it is unnatural that so much has happened today. First, the demon, then the baby being born, after that I get forcefully transported to my father's old place to be given powers and lastly, there is a target that might start tracking you because I took you to the second manor that I grew up in. It seems a little too unreal to be true."

"It is unreal but it is a fact that it happened. I know that it has been a hard day for you. No one in this house will doubt what they have seen. I know that my fiance would not pull anything like that. Do not worry, this is out of your control for now. I am sure that soon you will be able to get everything under your command." Leo pats her thigh and listens to the sounds coming from the living room.

Nathan came out of the kitchen and places down a teapot. He sat down across from Kitty. "I know that you have a lot that has happened today. I was hoping if it was not too much trouble to find out how Kyra was doing?"

"It is not too much trouble but I do not want you to get your hopes up too high. She has aged two years and now looks like a seven-year-old. She can remember a few things. She does know about you and she said that if you were gone she would be able to feel it. She, however, is trying to force the memories to return." Kitty poured herself a cup of tea and looked at Nathan.

"It is enough that she can feel the bond with me. I do not want her to force herself to remember me,  especially if it'll do more damage than good. I trust you guys here. I can feel that I am finally where I should be. It is hard to say this but in my own clan, it did not feel like home to me. Being here with everyone feels more like home then back when my clan was all alive." Nathan looks down as if he is feeling guilty.

Carlos came out with the food, "I was not where you wanted to be and it was not the life you envisioned. There is nothing wrong with those feelings. Kitty and I have both felt this is the past but Kitty has a way to see the future so she can sometimes get the heads up. Back in my clan I never felt like I was in the right place. It is not an easy thing to deal with. That one though fit in wherever she went. It was unbelievable. She is an amazing supernatural but that did not mean that since she fit in that it would feel like home." He placed the dish in front of Kitty and then sat down.
