Chapter 252 252 A Baby has the Most Carefree Life

Tiana sat next to Luke and looked at her sister and smiled happily.

Stella got up and changed the movie to the Princess and the Frog. She saw the baby and smiled, "I think that this is a moment that everyone was waiting for. Does this mean that a wedding will come next?"

Luke looked up sharply, "I know that Leo proposed to Mother so I guess that is what is going to happen next. I do believe that they were waiting until after the baby was born."

"It seems that they are going a little backwards with things but that is so like Kitty to do as she pleases." Sylvie giggles and looks at Emerson.

Emerson looked at Sylvie and then at the rest, "as long as we have known Kitty that is exactly like her. I think it is normal though for supernaturals to not choose a partner as a partner. As that can be a form of weakness and with Kitty, she was promised to another at a young age but never met the guy. She was told about him, but never got his name. From what I have gathered is that Leo was the one she was waiting for all this time."

"You are right only Kitty just found out herself and that is pretty amazing detective skills you have. If you do not mind can I ask what your profession was when you were a human?" Cindy looks at Emerson hoping for some past life details.

Ketan was going to go into the house but stayed outside the door and listened to the old times.

"Me? I really do not have an interesting past. Before I was a vampire I was a medicine doctor. It was so long ago and the way medication has changed is amazing. I remember the days when we had to go out and out the ingredients but with modern medicine, it is a lot more convenient." Emerson looks at the shocked looks of everyone.

"How did you get away from that? It could not have been easy." Cindy sat up and looked at Emerson and was surprised by the interest.

"A lot happened and besides that past happened so long ago. I mean he has been a vampire for 125 years now. I turned him and that is why he is alive to this day." Sylvie looked at Emerson and smiled. "With your knowledge, you were able to pick up on what the modern doctors are talking about."

"It's not my fault that they refer to the medications as something new but really, I remember using those concoctions in the past. I even made one for you as you told me that you were unwell. I was worried because you looked so pale." Emerson looked back to the past and thought about all the good that happened.

"Wow, that is actually pretty neat. I never thought that you were a doctor Emerson. I thought that maybe you would've been a great hunter or a scholar but not a doctor as you do not care for humans." Cindy said this and then covered her mouth.

Carlos stepped out of the kitchen, "when you become something that is unnatural you can not imagine the changes it would do inside that brain. Think about it, he was a human and he became something that is almost indestructible. It changes your views and when humans find out what you are they ban together to kill you and find a hunter to get the job done. It is not all that different from today but we are smarter than before and more of the supernaturals went into hiding."

Nathan stepped out, "and there even some supernaturals that have to hide from other supernaturals as if you do not it could result in your death. It is a sad world we live in but I think that with Kitty and Leo, they will change everything. That is why I did not worry about Kitty knowing my true name. I haven't introduced my true name to your guys."

Luke shook his head and indicated that Tiana didn't know about this. "One day it will be safe to talk about this but now is not the time. Stella thank you for changing the movie."

Nathan looked at the human girl and stopped talking about the names. "I almost forgot that there was an adorable human living here at this house."

"Tiana does not understand the adult talk but Tiana is happy that Big Brother Nathan is so good at cooking. Thank you for all the yummy food today!" She looked at Nathan and smiled.

"Her smile is lethal. I am so happy that she was saved as well. Leo was a human until today so that means that she is the only human that is not a worker here that is left." Nathan smiled and walked over and patted her on the head, "I am glad that you liked my cooking. I heard that you like cake if you behave while the baby sleeps, I will see if I can make you some cake."

"Cake for Tiana! Tiana will do her best to not disturb baby sister." She gets excited but keeps her normally loud voice quiet.

Luke looked down at his sister who was sleeping in his arms without a care in the world, "a baby has the most carefree life. They do not have to deal with the struggles of the world."

As if on instinct Kitty wakes up and comes down the stairs and sees everyone standing around chatting. She enters the living room just as Charlette opens her eyes. Kitty reaches over and takes her from Luke. She looks down at her happily, "hello my little sunshine. I see that I woke up just in time, come with mommy and we will change your diaper before feeding you."

Charlette gurgles back a reply but sounds happy.

"I will wake up Leo since it is almost dinner time. I look forward to having something to eat." Kitty walked up the stairs and went to the nursery and quickly changed the diaper and then went to the bedroom to feed Charlette.
