Book 3: Chapter 2 (6/7)

Nine minutes later. Kimaris, who had transformed into the Four Wings Demon wearing full platinum armor from head to toe while holding a lightning Sledgehammer on his left hand, brought the heavily injured Ateia and threw her on the ground just like he had done with Lucius earlier. Kain wasn’t surprised to see Kimaris had transformed into his Demon Form. Kain said, “Kimaris, I thank you.”

“Your appreciation is not needed. Anything else you needed me to do?”

“You may help other Demon Lords to kill all Demi-Humans in this city forthwith.”

“Very well, consider it done as well.” Kimaris then flew away to join the other Demon Lords.

Kain thought, “Ateia must have been leading a large army when Kimaris located her. He must have fought with that army before being able to capture Ateia alive. No wonder why Kimaris had to transform into his Demon Form. Still, he created a lightning Sledgehammer as a weapon instead of using Ursula which meant he didn't have much difficulty facing the Ateia’s army alone. As expected of the Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate.”

Kain pointed at Ateia, turned toward Andrella, and warmly said, “Master Whistler, please heal her.”

Andrella immediately casted [Major Healing] spell several times to fully heal Ateia. After Ateia gained consciousness, she promptly stood up and prepared to fight as she thought Kimaris was still nearby. Ateia looked around, saw Emperor Acilianus, and inhaled deeply after confirming Kimaris wasn't nearby.

Ateia sighed heavily in relief and said, “Emperor Acilianus, thank you for saving me.”

Lucius shook his head and said, “I didn’t save you. This man did.” He then pointed his finger at Kain to let Ateia know who he was talking about.

Ateia quickly observed Kain, smiled, and thanked him, “Thank you, human.”

Just like how Watcher Tykan would act, Kain said, “Kneel on the ground and submit to me, or die. You have one chance.”

Ateia was confused by what Kain just said. But before she could say anything stupid, Lucius and Zemelda rushed her, “Kneel on the ground, fast! The Demon Lord defeated and brought you here to serve him! Do it immediately or he will kill you!”

As smart as she was, Ateia immediately knelt on the ground without saying anything. Kain said, “Look at me.”

Ateia slowly lifted her head, looked into Kain’s eyes, and asked, “How may I be of your service, human?”

“Look around this city. Enjoy this moment with me.”

Per Kain’s instruction, Ateia looked around and was horrified by what she just saw. Demi-Human corpses were piling up everywhere. Demon Lords and their powerful demon armies were shrieking, cheering, laughing, singing, and dancing while eating the Demi-Human corpses like they were at a banquet.

She closed her eyes to stop witnessing such a horrific scene but Kain angrily said, “I said enjoy this moment with me! Do you want the entire Dryardian Empire to be destroyed?”

Ateia opened her eyes again. She cried and begged, “Human, please don’t kill anymore Demi-Humans. My family is living in this city too. My great-grandchildren. My-”

“Enjoy meant to smile, not to cry. Do you actually want to anger me?” Kain evilly stared into Ateia’s eyes as he flexed his Vampire Wings and ready to beat her to death.

Afraid of being killed, Ateia forced herself to smile while tears kept dropping down from her eyes. Kain laughed out loud like a mad man while thinking, “This is fun. Watcher Tykan was right. Exposing my true power and forcing those Demi-Humans to submit was the right decision.”

Kain nodded in satisfaction and said, “You may now stand.”

After Ateia stood up, Kain said, “All of you, cherish this moment with me. Everyone, laugh with me!”

Adrik, Etgar, and all others were forced to laugh as they watched the remaining Demi-Humans in Benil city being killed by the demon armies. To speed up the process, Kain casted [Conjure Phantom Leech] five hundred times and commanded them to assist the demon armies.

The next day. After confirming all Demi-Humans were killed, Kain banished the Demon Lords along with their demon armies and all Phantom Leeches back to their realms. Kain commanded Etgar to use [Whispering Wind] spell to transmit a message to all the human slaves in Benil city, letting them know that a savior had come to save them. The human slaves were terrified when they first saw the demon armies attacking the Demi-Humans. But after confirming that the demon armies weren’t attacking the human slaves, they cheered for the demons in happiness. After hearing Etgar’s message, the human slaves cheered even louder.

As instructed, the human slaves gathered near the Emperor’s Palace to meet with their savior. Kain flexed his Vampire Wings, flew above them along with Etgar, and said, “My name is Kain Bersk, and I am a Blood Mage. I have been absent from Toria Continents for over three hundred years. I just came back yesterday and was surprised to see the Demi-Humans enslaved so many humans in such a short time. The Mages Council was supposed to protect small nations such as the Commonwealth of Krog, Grand Duchy of Macmalian, Sungaria Kingdom, and Commonwealth of Mapmawia. The Shota Empire was a big nation, but they have fallen as well. I know the reason how the Dryarian Empire successfully annexed those nations was because they received help from the Rogue Mages and the Blood Mages Guild. Let me make one thing very clear, I hate it!”

After letting Etgar transmit the message to all human slaves using [Whispering Wind] spell, Kain continued, “I have decided to punish those Demi-Humans by massacring all of them in Benil city. I have captured their Emperor, Lucius Flavonius Acilianus, and his Prime Minister, Ateia Ordia. They have submitted to my rules and obeyed my command that there will be no more human slaves from today onward. The Demi-Humans and humans can live together in peace. If any human receives unfair treatment by the Demi-Humans, I will massacre another city of the Dryardian Empire to make it another example.”

Kain patiently waited for Etgar to transmit his message to the human slaves, then continued, “The Rogue Mages and the Blood Mages have also submitted to my rules as well. They won’t dare to hurt any humans without my permission ever again. Your job now is to pack up food and personal belongings, head toward other cities in the Dryarian Empire, and spread my greatness to the other humans. Adrik Volsky will now be your Emperor and he will make sure you have fair and happy lives along with the Demi-Humans. From today onward, there will be two Emperors in the Dryardian Empire. Emperor Acilianus ruled the Demi-Humans, and Emperor Volsky ruled the humans. I, Kain Bersk, will be the Supreme Leader of the Dryardian Empire!”
