Book 3: Chapter 1 (2/7)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
The Blood Wind Mage whispered to herself in surprise, “I have activated [Bloodlust], he shouldn’t be able to survive against it. How strong must this man be?”

She then activated [Gust] spell before casting [Whirlwind] and [Gravity Manipulation] spells at Kain's location. Kain was just standing there looking at her while smirking because the whirlwind couldn’t force him to move at all.

The Blood Wind Mage asked herself in surprise? “How can this be? Not even my [Gravity Manipulation] spell can move him? Is he a Solo Executioner from the Mages Council? I have never heard any black hair magic caster working for the Mages Council.”

Kain slowly walked toward that female Blood Wind Mage and asked, “I saw you have a Blood Ring on your left hand. Are you a Blood Mage?”

“Who are you? What are you? What planet did you come from? Why are you here in Toria Continents?”

“I will be the one asking questions.” Kain activated [Sanguine Tide] to quickly dispel her [Whirlwind] and [Gravity Manipulation] spells.

“How is that possible? What are you?” She didn't know Kain activated the [Sanguine Tide] spell and couldn’t believe he could easily dispel her Wind Magic spells using just a wave of his hand.

Kain choked the female Blood Mage's throat using his left hand and asked, “As I have said. I will be the one asking the question. Are you a Blood Mage?”

“Yes.”

“Good. Now tell me, what is your name?”

“You don’t deserve to know my name.”

Kain slapped her using just a tiny of his right-hand's strength but it was enough to cause her mouth to bleed from several teeth that were broken. Kain asked again, “What is your name?”

“I won’t tell you.”

Kain gifted her another slap. He angrily stared into her eyes and slowly said, “Last chance, what is your name? If you don’t give me an answer, I will kill you and those Eagle-kin Demi-Humans.”

“Ariana. My name is Ariana Bellet.”

“Hmm… I may have heard this name before. I don’t seem to recognize you though. Maybe you are just a small fly in the Blood Mages Guild and not worthy of my recognition.”

“Who are you? What do you know about the Blood Mages Guild?”

Kain gave her another slap and said, "I’m the one that's going to ask the question, remember? Where is the headquarter of the Blood Mages Guild now?”

“What do you mean? No, don’t hit me!” Ariana screamed when she saw Kain's hand raised.

Ignoring Ariana's plea, Kain granted her another slap in the face and said, “I meant, where is the headquarters of the Blood Mages Guild now since the Sungaria Kingdom has fallen to the Dryardian Empire.”

“Headquarter? Do you mean the palace? Please don't hit me! I can't answer your questions if I don't understand it.” Ariana begged again when she saw Kain's right hand was raised.

“Alright, let me make it more clear. Where is the Guildmaster, Etgar Revenmar? Where can I find him?”

“Why are you asking for the location of our Guildmaster?”

Without using the code words, Kain activated his Twin Soul but instead of two energy balls that appeared and flew above his hands, three energy balls of dark grey, black, and dark red colors appeared then flew around his right hand while Kain's left hand was still grabbing Ariana's throat.

Ariana asked, “Three energy balls? What are you? You can't be just a Blood Mage, right?” Ariana then put her arms up thinking Kain was going to slap her again for asking questions.

Kain said, “I’m a Blood Mage, just like you. My name is Kain Bersk.”

“Kain? Kain Bersk? Are you the Kain Bersk that saved me? No, but your hair is black. Kain Bersk that saved me was having blonde hair.”

“Hmm? Oh, my original hair was blonde but after a certain event, it became dark blue but mostly black.”

"Are you a member of the Blood Mages Guild?"

"I am."

“There is only one Kain Bersk in the Blood Mages Guild."

"I think so. Who else would deserve such a cool name?"

"It is you! Uncle Kain, I was the five years old girl that you saved in the Nalas Kingdom. Do you remember me?”

“Hmm… No, I don’t.”

“I was saved by Uncle Menas Danamark. But Uncle Menas was killed by-”

“Admon Pashar, Lieutenant Colonel of the Seventh Battalion in the Nalas Army. I remembered now. I allowed him to commit suicide and promised not to kill his family members because he showed me the underground safe house where he kept you safe.”

Kain eased his left hand to release Ariana's throat and let her heal herself using the [Life Drain] spell. Kain also deactivated [Puppeteer] spells to free the five thousand Eagle-kin Demi-Humans that were being controlled by his Black Magic. Sensing how powerful Kain was, the Eagle-kins lined up behind Ariana to listen to her command instead of continuing to advance to attack Kain. Kain wasn’t surprised to see how those Eagle-kins lined up behind Ariana because he knew about the Blood Mages Guild and Rogue Mages who worked for the Dryarian Empire.

Kain asked, “I don’t know what happened but helping the Demi-Humans to enslave the human race isn’t a good thing, especially when we want society to accept Blood Mages again. Will you take me to the Guildmaster so I can speak with him about this matter?”

“Certainly. The Blood Mages Guild’s Palace was built in Benil city where our Guildmaster resided. I will be happy to take you there.” Ariana respectfully said.

Kain turned to look at the hundred thousand human slaves and asked, “What about those humans?”

Ariana said, “They are the human slaves that we were tasked to escort from Milow city to Hearlen city to serve the Demi-Humans.”

Hearlen city was one of the cities that used to belong to the Commonwealth of Krorg. It is located approximately five hundred forty miles to the Northwest of Redkeep city. Milow city is approximately fifty-six miles to the South of Redkeep city.

While speaking with Ariana, Kain received a signal from Evienne through the permanent abyss link chained between them. Kain understood that Evienne had found Finwe and they were on the way back to the portal. Kain tapped into the abyss link that connected him with Fyre to let her know that Evienne and Finwe were on their way back to Toria Continents.

Kain thought, "How can Evienne find Finwe that easy? Wasn't Finwe supposed to be much harder to be located since he was hiding in the mountains in a vast realm of the Thunder Eagles?"

Despite having those thoughts, Kain turned to look at Ariana and said, “I have to go now. After finished with my personal matter, I will go to Benil city to speak with the Guildmaster.”

“Do you need me to escort you, Uncle Kain? Benil city is the capital of the Dryardian Empire, you can get into unnecessary problems if not careful. Especially when your hair is black instead of blonde. That will make you stand out from all of the human slaves.” Ariana felt disappointed after hearing Kain had to leave. She wanted to see if Kain would let her travel with him.
