Book 3: Chapter 1 (1/7)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
Volume 3

Other Demi-Humans saw Kain could easily kill a mighty Bear-kin seventh-tier warrior in one kick, they couldn’t help but take a step back instead of charging forward to attack him. Who is this man? Why does he have wings? Is he a God-tier Warrior? How can a God Warrior be allowed to stay in a lower realm? Why does he have black hair instead of blonde hair like other humans of Toria Continents? How strong he truly is? All kinds of questions popped up in their head as they trembled in fear.

Kain could feel that they were afraid of him, so he pointed at a female Dog-kin Warrior and said, “You, come here.”

The Dog-kin Warrior didn’t know what to do. She looked at her fellow Demi-Humans but none of them spoke up. The Dog-kin was about to walk toward Kain but then a loud voice yelled out loud, “What are you guys doing? Kill him already!”

Kain, alone with the Demi-Humans turned toward that voice and saw a Wolf-kin Warrior was approaching them. The Demi-Humans started whispering in happiness, “Major Fang Fallenbridge! It’s Major Fang Fallenbridge!”

Because of Fang’s command, ten thousand Demi-Humans courageously charged Kain to attack him knowing their Major was strong enough to face even a powerful tenth-tier warrior opponent. Kain was being nice to these Demi-Humans. But seeing those annoying worms wanting to attack him instead of talking, Kain became very agitated.

Kain angrily said, "If you want to die that bad, then I will allow you all to die painfully!"

Kain threw one powerful spin kick, killing over twenty Demi-Humans surrounding him. Exactly like fighting with ten thousand small ants, Kain killed many Demi-Humans using just his raw physical strength. But after killing more than two thousand Demi-Humans, Kain decided to use Magic to finish the rest of them faster. Kain activated the [Bloodlust] spell then spent ten percent of one of his eight blood pools to casted the [Shadow Ripper] spell and quickly killed all remaining Demi-Humans including Major Fang Fallenbridge in an instant. The humans who witnessed Kain fight with the Demi-Humans were happy but worried at the same time. They saw Kain has black-hair which meant he wasn’t a human of Toria Continents. They were happy to see Kain killed the Demi-Humans, but worried that Kain may kill them too.

After killing all ten thousand Demi-Humans, Kain asked out loud, “I have questions. Who can answer my questions?”

A teenage girl chained in shackles ran toward Kain. She knelt in front of him, grabbed his pants, and said, “I will answer all of your questions. Please don’t kill my father.”

A man in his fifty was running after the girl and finally caught up to her. He also knelt on the ground in front of Kain. His voice trembles in fear as he begged, “Sir, please pardon my daughter. She didn’t know what she had done. Her dirty hands shouldn’t touch your expensive clothes. I’m so sorry. Jaane, apologize to him and leave now!” In fear that his daughter will be killed, the man wanted his daughter to apologize and leave this area immediately. If Kain needed to punish someone for dirty his clothes, the man would receive punishment for his daughter even if it could cost him his life.

Kain was stunned as he heard that the girl named was Jaane. Kain warmly said, “Jaane, look me in the eyes.”

The teenage girl obeyed and looked into Kain's eyes while her father was afraid Kain may kill her for such disrespect. Lowly human slaves like him and his daughter shouldn't be looking directly into a powerful being such as Kain.

Kain looked directly into the girl's eyes, then observed that girl carefully from head to toe and asked, “What is your last name?”

“My name is Jaane Redwald. I will answer any questions you needed to ask. In exchange, please don't kill my father.” The girl quickly answered.

"Jaane! You can't talk to him using such a disrespectful tone!" The man almost screamed out loud.

"Old man, you needed to shut the hell up." Kain kindly advised the man.

"Yes, sir. Please pardon my daughter for any rudeness. I didn't teach her to behave correctly."

Ignored the man's pleading, Kain turned his head back toward the teenage girl and asked, “Is this your father, Jaane?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Uhm. I won’t kill you or your father. Will you answer some of my questions?”

“Yes, you can ask me anything.”

“Why are there Demi-Humans here? What happened to the Commonwealth of Krorg?”

“The Commonwealth of Krorg? What is that?”

Kain was expecting an answer, he didn’t expect this girl would ask him back. Kain saw Jaane’s father wanted to say something, he asked, “Would you like to answer that question for her?”

The man said, “Sir, thank you for letting me speak again. This land once belonged to the Commonwealth of Krorg you have mentioned. But that country was destroyed by the Dryardian Empire over fifty years ago.”

“The Commonwealth of Krorg has fallen to the Dryardian Empire?”

“Yes, sir. Along with the Sungaria Kingdom, Commonwealth of Mapmawia, Grand Duchy of Macmalian and the Shota Empire.”

What about the Blood Mages Guild? What happened to all the Blood Mages that were living in it? Those questions immediately popped up in Kain's head despite him having remained standing calmly hearing the Sungaria Kingdom had also fallen.

Breathed in and out heavily, Kain asked, “What year is this?”

“Sir, this is the year 416,186.”

“What Calendar?”

“Forty-eighth Calendar.”

Kain thought to himself, “I only left Toria Continents for over three hundred years, but so much has changed already.”

Kain asked, “Why did the Mages Council let the Dryardian Empire destroy the Sungaria Kingdom, Commonwealth of Mapmawia, Grand Duchy of Macmalian, and the Shota Empire? Didn’t they supposed to protect those countries in the time of need?”

“The Mages Council had sent many powerful magic casters but the Dryardian Empire had the help of the Blood Mages and the Rogue Mages. Including massive invasions from the Dryardian Empire, it was too much for the Mages Council to handle.”

“Did you just say Blood Mages and Rouge Mages worked for the Dryardian Empire?”

“Yes, sir.”

“How could-?”

Kain couldn’t finish his question when he saw an army of approximately five thousand Eagle-kin Demi-Humans were flying from the sky down toward him in hostile manners. Kain casted fifty [Puppeteer] spells in an instant toward those Eagle-kin Demi-Humans and was about to make them kill themselves.

A female voice suddenly yelled out loud, “Stop!”

Because the Eagle-kins were being brainwashed and controlled by Kain's [Puppeteer] spells, Kain could easily command them to kill themselves at any time. Kain decided not to kill them yet and looked toward the direction where that female voice came in. Kain saw a female beautiful magic caster approximately in her early thirty years of age flying toward him.

Kain thought, “A Wind Mage?”

That Wind Mage didn’t say anything else but activated [Infused Blood] spell to tap into her Magical Blood Ring then activated [Bloodlust] spell before casting [Shadow Ripper] spell on Kain. Because Kain’s Magical Resistance rate was too high, the [Shadow Ripper] spell casted by that Blood Wind Mage didn’t cause any effect on him.
