Book 2: Chapter 11 (2/11)

In order for a Conjurer Mage to activate [Soul Bridge], his/her Soul-Bound Creature must be in the perfect physical state which means the health pool and mana pool of the Soul-Bound Creature have to be one hundred percent (100%) full. That was why Kain couldn’t just activate [Soul Bridge] to conjure Finwe every time Finwe fought with another creature(s) in his realm or when his life was in great danger.

Another two weeks passed and the one-year line in Timeless Dungeon had come. Kain checked the abyss link chained between him and Finwe then was pleased to see it’s still strong which means Finwe was currently safe. Kain put on the Magical Robe embedded with a total of eighteen Magical Stones containing six Blood Stones, six Conjuration Stones, and six Black Stones. He then took out the Magical Diamond Ice Spear and swung it around to warm up his muscles. Seven minutes later. Escorted by the five Watcher's Messengers, Kain walked toward the dueling ground from the manor that was temporarily granted to him to face his final opponent for this Tenth-tier.

“Hmm? Why am I the only one here? No Watcher sitting inside the audience this time huh?” Kain asked the Watcher's Messengers.

One of the Watcher's Messengers said, “This dueling ground will not be used today. Stand in the circle we have marked and you will be teleported to the main dueling ground.”

Kain saw the big red circle marked in the middle of the dueling ground, he walked over to it and stood inside as instructed. Things suddenly went pure darkness and then extremely bright forcing Kain to close his eyes. By the time Kain could open his eyes again, he saw a gorgeous silver-hair woman who was standing a thousand feet away. The woman then smiled and nodded at him. Kain nodded back at her before started to look around and could see he was transported to a much larger arena compared to the previous one. This arena was at least ten times bigger and larger. The audience sides have hugely increased as well.

“Damn… This is just the last battle of Tenth-tier, and I have already attracted a large crowd of Watchers to watch me put on a show.” Kain thought to himself believing all those Watchers gathered here to see him fight.

The loud voice said, “Watchers of the universes, you have long waited for this battle. Kain Bersk has finally made it to the last round. He had earned enough reputation to face the champion of this arena. From the infamous Lucifuge family, I give you Evienne Lucifuge, one of the Devils of Hell Realm!"

The loud voice then paused for two minutes allowing loud cheering from the Watchers to be lowered down before continuing to say, "Kain, you can use as much Magical Blood Equipment as you want for this battle. If Evienne dies, she will just be teleported back to Hell Realm. But if you die, there will be no chance for revival. Unlike the last nine tiers of this Timeless Dungeon which required you to finish the quests that were given to you or you will be trapped inside the Timeless Dungeon permanently. However, you are allowed to surrender before the battle starts and leave this Timeless Dungeon to go back to Toria Continents safely. Let me remind you, it is very infrequent for any human to have a chance to join a Timeless Dungeon. If you choose to surrender now, you will still be able to keep all the rewards that were given to you including the Blood Equipment you have robbed from the Vampire Kings. Make your decision wisely."

Kain thought to himself. “I am allowed to use my Blood Equipment for this battle… One of the Devils of Hell Realm… Very tempting... Evienne’s looks could have deceived me into thinking that she is weak if I didn’t know she is one of the Devils. If I choose to fight, I may lose my life. If I surrender, I can go back to Toria Continents as a level 100 Blood Black Conjurer Mage, as well as a Vampire Emperor who possesses the physical strength of an Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior. If counting my ultimate spell of [Devil Anatomy], no one in Toria Continents should be able to withstand me. Having such power, I can easily tour Toria Continents as a Blood Mage without worrying about The Mages Council going to hunt me down. Haha... they should be worrying about whether I want to hunt them down for blood or not.

After several seconds of analyzing the pros of surrendering, Kain observed his opponent again before continuing to think, "Nonetheless, if I continue to participate until I finish the Fifthteenth-tier of this Timeless Dungeon, who knows what kind of great reward I will be receiving? Perhaps something even better compared to my ultimate spell of [Devil Anatomy].”

Sensing Kain wanted to fight this battle, the loud voice said, “Kain Bersk, one more piece of information I needed to pass on to you. Your [Devil Anatomy] can temporarily turn you into a Devil. But, you are not a real Devil so when facing an actual Devil such as Evienne Lucifuge, you will be facing some disadvantages. One of those disadvantages would be opening Thirteen Gates of the Hell Realm. In another way to say it, you won’t be able to summon a Demon Lord or open any Hell’s Gate when you fight with an actual Devil.”

Kain got back to his deep thinking again, “This isn’t good. I have witnessed the power of a Devil who can open Thirteen Gates of the Hell Realm allowing millions and millions of powerful demons to come through. Not including the other twelve Demon Lords, the Demon Lord of Thirteenth Gate alone is too strong for Finwe to handle.”

The loud voice continued to advise Kain, “Let me give you a hint. One hundred percent of Watchers here bet that Evienne will win. As the organizer, I am forced to bet on you as the winner despite knowing there is no possible way for you to defeat her.”

Kain asked, “Besides hearing your voice, I have never seen your face. Who are you?”

“I am one of the Watchers who was assigned to tasks you from the First-tier to the Tenth-tier of this Timeless Dungeon. All the quests you have received from Tier-one until now were my doings. I have made you from a weak magic caster to a strong one as you are right now. But I know that you are not powerful enough to defeat an actual Devil. I don't want to see all I have done for you gone to waste. Kain Bersk, have you made a decision yet? Will you surrender? Or will you fight? Please make the correct decision that could benefit you instead of costing you your life.”
