Chapter 813 - Peter Hasn't Come Back

Oscar tried to suppress all the worries he was feeling deep inside. He didn't want to make Lisa feel even more panicked when he was also this scared and panicked.

This was the second time Greta took William by force without Lisa or Oscar knowing. And for the second time, Oscar was sure that the woman would definitely do something with the boy. There must be something she wanted to get that made her decide to kidnap William.

And Oscar didn't know what else Greta wanted from him.

Greta has just given all of her stock and interest in Petersson Communications to Michael. Not only hers, she also gave all of Peter's possessions to Michael. After that, Oscar learned about the truth between Michael and Greta then threatened the woman using Peter.

As usual, Greta begged him so he wouldn't tell Peter. But of course Oscar didn't listen to her request and thought about telling Peter in the near future.

Wait…

Was that the reason why Greta decided to kidnap William?

Did she kidnap William because she wanted Oscar not to tell Peter about what she had done?

"Tomorrow!?" Lisa urged while squeezing the hem of Oscar's shirt, "Tomorrow is too long, Oscar! What if she did something to our son and we can't see William anymore!?"

According to Lisa, waiting wouldn't be a good choice. Especially considering what the demonic woman had done in the past. If they didn't move quickly now, William might be hurt and they couldn't see the boy again.

Even though Greta is Oscar's biological mother, that doesn't mean Lisa is willing to see William being hurt a second time by his grandmother. The woman is literally the incarnation of the devil and she is absolutely willing to do anything to get what she wants.

Hearing Lisa's reply made Oscar think twice. That's right, if they waited any longer, they wouldn't know what really happened to William.

Oscar slightly pushed Lisa's shoulder away and looked her in the eye, "I know and believe that Greta won't hurt William. At least today. Now, you wait at home for a while, and I will pick up William at my parent's house."

After saying that, Oscar turned around and hurried out to get William. But before he could go far, he felt his arm being held tightly from behind.

"I will come with you!"

At first, Oscar did not want to invite Lisa to pick up William. Because to be honest, he wasn't even sure what Greta had done to William. He was worried that Lisa couldn't stand what she would see, lest the boy got hurt. She could go crazy or even pass out.

"Okay." Seeing the panicked look on Lisa's face that was covered in sweat and tears made Oscar unable to refuse the woman's request. "Fine, you can come."

Inside the silent and cold car, only the sound of their breathing could be heard. Sometimes, Oscar's eyes stared at Lisa who still looked panicked. Under the sun shining into the car, her cheeks were wet with tears. Her little nose was red like a clown and her lips couldn't stop shaking.

Oscar was deeply indebted to Lisa. Until then, he felt like he couldn't pay all the debts he owed her. The woman made him happy and granted his wish to have a harmonious little family. Without her and William, their little family wouldn't be complete.

Whatever happens, even until his blood runs out, Oscar will bring William back and hand him into Lisa's arms again unscathed.

Oscar didn't do this to repay his debt of gratitude. This was his duty as a husband and a father.

Lisa, who had been unable to sit still, couldn't stop moving her legs and gripping the hem of her shirt. Often the woman clicked her tongue in annoyance when the red light made the car couldn't help but stop and wait for it to turn green.

Oscar had just stepped on the gas when the traffic light turned green and glanced at Lisa for a moment. He then raised his left hand and touched the back of Lisa's palm on the woman's lap. His thumb stroked the back of her slender knuckles.

"Don't worry. William will be fine." Oscar said quietly, "I'm here. You're not alone, okay?"

Hearing that somehow made Lisa feel a little calm. Her erratic heart now began to follow a normal rhythm. Her chest slowly let go of the tightness, and her body didn't feel tense anymore.

But that doesn't mean Lisa has the strength to answer the man's words. She could only clear her throat and nod her head.

Although her heart still didn't feel good, somehow, when she heard the words 'I'm here, you're not alone', she felt she could breathe better than before.

Like Oscar said earlier, Lisa tried to think positively and thought that maybe Greta missed William. Maybe they were playing in the living room right now or having dinner together at this hour.

Right.

Everything must be fine.

After driving more than an hour on the busy streets, Oscar's car finally stopped in front of Peter's gate. Lisa and Oscar immediately got out of the car at the same time and saw the housekeeper who was wearing a dark blue uniform walking over to them.

"Mr. Oscar," the man greeted as he opened the gate, "Why did you come without informing me first?"

"Is my dad home yet?" Oscar asked without answering the housekeeper.

Ever since Peter retired, the man couldn't stay at home too long. He was so used to going to work every day that he couldn't bear to stay at home. Peter always had a reason to go and usually went out of town or country with his friends. Not for a business trip, but rather for leisure time playing golf together or watching horse racing.

Just like this week. Peter contacted him two days ago to tell him he was going to visit his friend in Japan for five days.

The housekeeper looked at Lisa for a moment and briefly showed a frightened face. Then the man looked back at Oscar and replied, "Not yet, sir. Mr.. Peter has only been away for two days."
