Chapter 812 - Don't Worry Too Much

Mrs. Rusminah has worked in the Petersson family since she was young, even loved by the family because of her skill in cooking all kinds of cuisines. Starting from Chinese, European, to Indonesian cuisines… Mrs. Rusminah can do everything with her eyes closed. Unfortunately, the woman is only a helper who has no right to oppose her employer.

Lisa knew that Mrs. Rusminah could prevent Greta from taking William. It's just that she understood that the woman didn't dare to fight Greta's demonic presence.

In the midst of the Petersson family, Lisa became familiar with the habits of almost everyone in the family over time. Like Peter's cold yet caring attitude, or the sociable but gossipy Chloe, to Greta's stubbornness, where she wouldn't easily give up to get what she wanted.

Even to the last drop of blood, Lisa knew that Greta would not just give up.

The living room in Oscar's residence was filled with a tense aura that could make anyone in the room better leave. Lisa, who had been unable to stop walking around the room, and Mrs. Rusminah, who could only stand frozen at the end of the room with her head down.

In that very second, Lisa wanted nothing more than William's safety.

Today, she purposely went home earlier than usual because she wanted to take William out for dinner. Remembering this week was William's last week staying at home made Lisa want to spend more time with the boy.

Last night, she had been imagining what she would do during William's last days at home. In addition to spending time together, she also wanted to accompany William to study together and complete his homework that he said was still piling up. The woman wanted William to go back to school with zero unfinished homework.

But who would have thought that the boy would be taken away by Greta without her knowledge?

Anyway, Lisa was determined. If Greta dared to touch and hurt William, she would not stand still! Lisa would disregard everything about Greta, including the fact that she was older than her and Oscar's mother. She wouldn't care about anything else and finished off the old lady with her bare hands!

Time passed so slowly when she felt so panicked. The same is true. She kept walking around the living room, and every time she looked at the clock on the wall, she only saw that a minute had passed. She waited for so long but the sound of Oscar's car stopping in front of the house hadn't come to her ears.

Lisa only heard the silence and the sound of her heart beating so fast.

Half an hour had passed and Lisa hadn't seen Oscar's car either. She knew that the actual distance from the man's office to this house was not that close. If the road is not jammed, it usually takes about an hour. Imagine if there's traffic jams.

But Lisa didn't think it would take Oscar this long to get home!

Just as she was going crazy and thinking that she would lose William, she heard the sound of the door opening from outside. Without a second thought, she immediately turned around and slightly ran towards the outside door. When she saw the figure of the man walking with a panicked expression on his face, Lisa immediately screamed while whining a little.

"Oscar, you've finally arrived!" Lisa exclaimed with red eyes and nose.

"What happened?" Oscar asked, trying not to look panicked even though his heart was already weak. He touched both of Lisa's shoulders and looked at her bloodshot eyes.

At first, Lisa didn't have the energy to cry. But as soon as she stood in front of Oscar and felt the warmth of his touch through her shoulders, she felt her eyes heat up and her nose go stuffy. Finally, after holding back for a long time, she let herself burst into tears.

Before answering Oscar's question, Lisa took a deep breath from her stuffy nose and let it out through her mouth. After she was sure she could make a clear voice, the woman opened her lips.

"I-I was deliberately going home early so I could take William out for dinner. Then… Then, Mrs. Rusminah said that your Mama came here and took him away…"

Hearing Lisa's explanation made Oscar's face stiff. His eyes turned cold, colder than ice cubes. At that very second, he didn't know how to calm Lisa down because to be honest he was also panicking like her.

Oscar still couldn't believe that Greta had the heart to kidnap William and hurt the boy. The little boy who was none other than her own grandson, sharing the same blood as her.

In the past, for Oscar's sake, Greta forced Lisa to divorce Oscar and destroyed their small family. She was even willing to cooperate with Clara to kidnap William and almost kill the boy.

Even though that incident had happened several years ago, Oscar still didn't forget it. His fight with Clara on the roof of the building is still fresh in his memory. Sometimes, remembering Clara as she wanted to throw William's tiny body from the roof made his palms tightly clenched into fists.

At times like this, Oscar was confused by the dire situation in his life. At one hand is his mother and the other is his child.

What can he do?

What should he do now?

In that instant, all the feelings of fear, panic and worry mixed together and filled his heart.

"Oscar..." Lisa whined and couldn't stand her frantic thoughts. She wrapped her arms around Oscar's waist and let her tear-soaked cheeks land on the man's chest. "What should we do now? I don't want to lose William again..!"

Oscar patted Lisa on the back and whispered, "Lisa, we better not worry too much now. We'd better think that Greta misses William too much and that's why she took him out for a while. If we still haven't heard from William or Greta tomorrow, we'll go straight to my parent's house."
