Chapter 794 - Do You Remember?

After listening to Lisa's apology, the corners of Oscar's lips automatically lifted upwards. Without wasting any more time, he pulled Lisa closer and hugged her tiny body tightly.

In fact, the clear blue-eyed man's heart was still filled with worry and questions he had not had time to ask. But when he felt Lisa's arms wrapped around his waist, Oscar didn't have the strength to open his mouth.

He heaved a sigh of relief, releasing all the pent up feelings he had been holding in since he went out of the parking lot of the luxury hotel and tightened his arms around Lisa's body.

"Lisa," Oscar said when they finally let go of their tight and warm embrace. "I'm just worried that you'd be attacked and assaulted like you used to. Promise me you won't be out alone at night like this again. If you want to go, tell the private driver that I have prepared for you at home to go with you. Besides, if you want to leave, you have to tell me first."

The smile on Lisa's lips grew wider and wider until her cheeks felt stiff.

"Who told you not to pick up my phone? Besides, I'm worried about you too, you know! I don't know where you are, but that doesn't mean I won't try to find you. Even to the end of Jakarta… I will still find you."

Oscar's hand that was still touching Lisa's shoulder felt cold from the wind that night, different from his heart that felt warm after hearing Lisa's reply.

"You went out at night because you wanted to find me?" Oscar asked quietly, his tone sounded disbelieving.

"Of course! If it weren't for you, I preferred watching TV or lying down in my room. Dani said that you weren't in a good mood, that's why I was worried that you would go to a bar to have a drink. What if you meet a beautiful girl at a bar and fall in love with her? Even though—"

Before Lisa could continue her speech, Oscar grabbed her body again. The woman's nose hit his chest, making her wince. Lisa wanted to let go of Oscar's tight hug on her body because their position was really uncomfortable. Especially for her.

But her efforts were in vain, because the more she tried to let go of Oscar's embrace, the more the man tightened his arms around her.

"Oh my God, Lisa, why are you so stupid? I'm not a kid anymore. How could I go to a bar alone without you? Besides, even if I go to a bar, I won't fall in love with another woman other than you." Oscar replied in a tone that sounded like mocking Lisa's way of thinking. "Next time, don't go out by yourself at night, okay? Just wait for me at home, I will definitely come back to you."

Lisa coughed a little and thought that the cold of the night was the reason why her cheeks turned red. She slightly pushed Oscar's body away and answered.

"Good then. If you dare to fall in love with another girl, you won't be able to open your eyes tomorrow!" Lisa threatened with her red cheeks.

Hearing the threat made Oscar laugh even more. He pulled Lisa's body closer and hugged her. He hoped that the warm temperature of his body could warm Lisa's body which seemed cold.

When Lisa felt several pairs of eyes on them, she tried to break free from Oscar's tight hug. She furrowed her brow and sure enough, there were several pairs of eyes looking at them with a shy smile.

If Lisa were in the same position as them, seeing a handsome man hugging his lover tightly, maybe she would also smile like them. Who would not be happy and envious to see other people have such a sweet and romantic relationship like them?

Oscar grabbed Lisa's hand and walked down the stairs. "Come on, let's go home now. The air is getting colder."

Before Oscar could unlock his car that was parked not far from them, Lisa stopped her footsteps. "Wait a moment."

Oscar's footsteps automatically stopped. He didn't take out his key and turned his head to see Lisa's blushing face. He himself did not know what could've made the woman's face smeared with reddish blush. But he believed that it must be caused by either the cold night breeze, or the embarrassment that Lisa might be feeling.

But why would she be embarrassed?

"What's wrong?" Oscar asked.

"We've arrived here. Why go straight home?" Lisa asked quietly. She looked around and saw a large river located not far from the luxury hotel. Several groups of teenagers and couples were seen sitting on the grass near the river, having their picnic with soft drinks, snacks, as well as laughter and chatter.

"Let's go for a walk, shall we?"

Oscar followed Lisa's gaze and immediately agreed to the woman's request without a second thought.

Seeing him agree to her request made Lisa happy in her heart. The woman hooked her arm with Oscar's and walked out of the luxury hotel. The closer they were to the big river, the louder the laughter became.

"Hey," Lisa lifted her head and looked at Oscar, "Do you remember when you took me to dinner at the hotel last night? There, you gave me a diamond ring as a birthday present and asked me to dance even though I didn't know how to dance."

Oscar nodded his head, "Of course I still remember it."

After that, nothing more was said between the two of them. The atmosphere around them somehow felt awkward and cold, colder than the night wind that blows quite hard. Perhaps most of the awkward feeling came from Lisa herself.

For one thing, Lisa knew the possible cause of Oscar's bad mood after returning from Peter's house. Second, Lisa already knew about the dark secret. And lastly, Lisa didn't know whether she should tell Oscar the truth or not.

Lisa turned and saw Oscar. At the same time, the man also turned around and met Lisa's eyes. Their four eyes met in the middle, making the woman's heart flutter.

At first, Lisa didn't want to tell Oscar what she heard at the coffee shop yesterday. But as soon as she looked into Oscar's clear blue eyes that were rippling with a somewhat mellow gaze, Lisa felt her lips work faster than her brain.

"Oscar, I don't want any lies between us," Lisa started slowly, "We've also promised to be honest and not hide anything from each other. But there are some things I dare not tell you…"
