That night, a cold wind blew hard, making Lisa who was already wearing a jeans jacket get goosebumps. The atmosphere around Oscar's house was quiet, not many vehicles were seen on the road. There are only a few security guards on duty, riding their motorbikes around the housing.

Before Lisa's footsteps took her out of the complex, she felt her cell phone vibrate. Without wasting any more time, she hastily opened her tote bag and took out her cell phone.

Seeing the name that she had been waiting for adorned the screen of her cellphone, Lisa unconsciously shed tears. Before her tears dropped on the screen of her cellphone, Lisa's thumb had already pressed the green button.

"Oscar, where are you now?" Lisa asked without greeting first.

For a few seconds, Lisa didn't hear Oscar's answer. The woman pulled the phone away from her ear and saw that their call was still connected.

"I didn't know that there were so many missed calls from you. Did something happen?" Oscar asked in a tone that sounded calm as usual.

Even though he seemed to be trying his best to cover up what he felt right now, Lisa knew that something was wrong with the man. Even though Dani didn't tell her that Oscar was in a bad mood, Lisa would still know that something was wrong with him.

"Nothing," Lisa replied slowly, "Dani called me saying that you left your Papa's house alone. I was worried, that's why I called you."

Lisa bit her lower lip and asked anxiously, "Where are you? I want to see you."

"Are you out of the house?" Oscar asked, now the man's voice sounded panicked.

Lisa cleared her throat, "I want to find you, of course I'm out of the house."

"Where are you now? I will pick you up." Oscar replied quickly.

Even though he was in a bad mood and he didn't know what to feel, he still felt panicked when he heard that Lisa wasn't home. She had almost been kidnapped and raped by  mobs in a dark alley, making Oscar forever feeling unsettled whenever Lisa went out alone at night.

Oscar raised his left hand and looked at the watch wrapped around his wrist. The time showed it was 7 pm, and that the sky must have turned dark. People must've filled the sidewalks walking home from work now.

"I'm near the Double Leaves Hotel." Lisa replied without a second thought. How could she tell Oscar that she had just left the house and was still around the complex?

"Okay, wait for me there. Don't go out alone next time," Oscar said, "I repeat, don't leave there alone. Wait for me."

Lisa cleared her throat, "Yeah, yeah. I'll be waiting for you here."

Double Leaves is a luxury hotel where Oscar used to take her to dinner together on Lisa's birthday. At the hotel, Oscar asked her to dance, bought her a fancy dress, and presented her with a diamond ring. Lisa still remembers everything clearly.

Since she didn't know where Oscar was right now, she couldn't guess how long it would take to reach the luxury hotel. Having such thoughts made Lisa hastily order a taxi online from her cell phone.

Luckily, the online taxi didn't take long to pick her up. Not until 2 minutes after she ordered, the silver car stopped in front of her.

"Miss Lisa?"

Lisa looked at her cell phone's screen and made sure the car's license plate matched the application. She then nodded her head and entered the car, "Yes, please take me to the destination. I'm in a hurry."

Actually, the distance between Oscar's residence and the luxury hotel is quite far. Maybe about 20 to 30 minutes if the road is not jammed. But since Lisa had said that she was in a hurry, the online taxi driver took the shortcut and drove Lisa to the front entrance of the hotel in less than 20 minutes.

After getting out of the car, Lisa wanted to take out her cell phone and call Oscar. But before she could do that, Lisa saw Oscar walking towards her with hasty steps.

The distance between the two instantly turned to zero. Oscar's big footsteps instantly led him to Lisa in no time. Even though Lisa didn't tell Oscar where she was actually standing, the man always knew where she was.

Sometimes, Lisa even thinks that the man has planted a tracking device in her body when she sleeps. Otherwise, how could Oscar always know where she was?

Seeing Oscar's face after worrying about him for the whole day made Lisa smile widely. Her heart felt relieved and she could finally heave a sigh of relief.

"Oscar," Lisa called in a tone that sounded happy, "How did you know I was near the entrance?"

As soon as Oscar was standing in front of Lisa, the man raised his left hand and rolled up the sleeve of his shirt. He looked at his watch and frowned when he realized what time it was.

Instead of answering Lisa's question, the man actually asked a question.

"What are you doing here at night like this?" Oscar asked, "Should you really go without the private driver that I have prepared for you? Do you think I pay him for nothing?"

Lisa didn't feel annoyed when she heard that come out of Oscar's lips. She was too happy that she could finally see with her own two eyes that Oscar was okay.

If Oscar had said that on another day, maybe Lisa would have scolded him out loud. She would definitely blame Oscar for not coming home right away, which resulted in her having to go out alone at night. But not this time.

"Well.." Lisa replied, pouting her lower lip, "I couldn't contact you and you didn't come home either. Could I stay at home waiting for you anxiously? I don't want to go with the driver, he must be tired…"

Hearing that made Oscar raise his eyebrows, "Then why should I give him a salary every month if not to take you wherever you go?"

Lisa blinked a few times then took Oscar's right hand. She placed the man's palm and stroked his cheek, as if a cat thirsting for attention.

"Ah, Oscar… I'm sorry.. I know I was wrong. I promise I won't make the same mistake again!"
