Chapter 784 - Sad, Isn't It?

Meanwhile, inside Lisa's office, the morning sun shone boldly into her room. If her room wasn't equipped with air conditioning, maybe her skin would've melted by now. Not only that, even her brain would've turned into mush too.

The woman's mind was filled with all kinds of things. Starting from last month's financial report for the company, the work that was still piling up on the table, to what Oscar was currently doing.

Has the open meeting started?

When Lisa was busy with her own thoughts, suddenly the screen of her cell phone lit up. She immediately threw the paper that was in her hand and quickly took her cell phone.

Lisa's frown disappeared when she read Oscar's reply. She actually knew that things wouldn't be alright. Especially after she learned the dark secret of the Petersson family. However, when she read Oscar's message saying that everything would be fine, Lisa was convinced that Oscar could get through it all.

After finally getting the news that Oscar would be fine, Lisa's heart felt calm. The woman was sure that the meeting would go smoothly, and whatever problem Oscar was about to face would be resolved well.

Dani walked ahead of Oscar and opened the door to the meeting room. Several people who worked in each division were also present, as well as shareholders in the telecommunications company. Oscar then adjusted his black blazer and stepped inside.

Knowing that the CEO of the company had entered the meeting room, they rose from their seats. They lowered their heads and greeted him.

Oscar raised his hand, signaling for them to sit back down, "Good morning."

Not long after he and Dani sat down, the meeting room door opened again. Then the big man with a slightly distended stomach went inside. His face that was decorated with wrinkles looked happy, with a big smile crossing his face.

"Oh my, you all have gathered here?" Michael asked in a mocking tone, "Am I late? I went to the toilet for a while, it's normal, it's an old person's business hahaha!"

Oscar looked towards the doorway and replied, "Of course not, uncle. Please, have your seat."

Even though no one in the room knew that Oscar was Michael's nephew, and Michael was Oscar's uncle, they didn't say anything. They just exchanged glances and spoke through their eyes.

Except for Dani, of course the man already knew that Michael was Oscar's uncle.

The corners of Oscar's lips lifted upwards, revealing a cold-looking smile. His aura as CEO of a telecommunications company feels so strong.

After Michael sat by Oscar's side, the man started the meeting, "Since everyone is gathered here, I think it's time to start today's open meeting."

About an hour and a half later, the reporters were busy with dozens of camera flashes aimed towards the event, showing that they were broadcasting live. The atmosphere outside the office building looks chaotic, coupled with traffic jams and the sound of horns from various vehicles.

Everyone, even all Jakarta's business geeks, knew that the telecommunications company was holding an open meeting. After a long time Petersson Communications had existed here, this was the second time the company held an open meeting.

Oscar was seen following behind Dani, coming out of the office building welcomed by dozens of reporters rushed over to them. They did not want to miss the opportunity to extract information from the man.

As soon as the two of them stepped out, Dani immediately took the initiative to walk ahead of Oscar. He used his tall and stout body as a protective shield, not letting anyone touch the man.

From when Oscar was walking towards the car and now he'd safely taken his seat inside, the man didn't answer the reporters' questions at all. He kept his head down, watching his steps so he wouldn't trip over his own feet or the camera cables that lined the street.

Dani closed the front door and hurried around the car then sat behind the wheel.

"Mr. Oscar," Dani started when they were quite far from the office building. "Your uncle now has 45 percent of the company in his hands. If he manages to get 5 percent of the company again, the ownership of the company could fall into his hands."

Oscar, who had been silent for a long time since leaving the meeting room, clenched his fists tightly. The feeling of intense rage in his body made him see red.

"Take me to my parents' house!" Oscar ordered in a sharp voice.

"Yes sir."

It turned out that the open meeting was a request from Michael. It turned out that the man wanted to boast that he had somehow gotten 45 percent of the telecommunications company. Hearing the shocking news made Oscar, Dani, and almost everyone else in the room dumbfounded.

How did the man who lived in Sweden almost all his life get nearly half of the shares of the Petersson Communications company?

Because as far as Oscar and Dani know, 45 percent of the company is owned by Peter and Greta. While the remaining 5 percent is in the hands of Michael. Oscar is not a stupid man who can't see that there's something fishy about this.

Without Michael needing to tell him how to get 45 percent of the company, Oscar already knew where he got it from. Who else besides Greta will put nearly all of Petersson Communication's stock into Michael's hands?

Because according to Oscar, Peter was not stupid and would never put such a large stake into Michael's hands. Especially considering the two of them are not too close even though Peter loves Michael as a sibling.

What surprised Oscar was, as he walked out of the meeting room, he was told by Michael that Greta had sold him the stock at a low price. The man instantly felt like he was struck by lightning when he heard that.

"Greta, your mother, who loved you very much, sold 40 percent of the shares she held at a cheap price," Michael said, making Oscar who initially wanted to leave the room stop in his steps.

"Imagine. 40 percent of her shares were sold cheaply to me…"

"Pathetic, isn't it? My brother's family, whom I initially thought had no financial problems, suddenly sold their shares to me...." Michael continued in a deeply mocking tone.
