Chapter 770 - 20 Years Ago

Seeing Greta and the mysterious man walking towards her made Lisa panic. She lowered her head and pretended to be busy playing with her phone even though her screen was off.

Lisa can only hope that none of them notice her presence. She didn't know what Greta's relationship with the mysterious man was, but she certainly knew that they had a special relationship. Whether it's friends, colleagues, or even more.

Greta and the man walked past her desk and sat at the table behind Lisa. If that was the case, Lisa was sure she could hear their conversation.

Not that she was eavesdropping and wanted to take revenge against Greta, it's just that Lisa still has ears that work well.

The waitress at the coffee shop then delivered two cups of black coffee. Greta automatically snorted in annoyance when she saw the man ordered her black coffee. After the maid left, Michael smiled faintly and broke the silence between them.

"I knew you would come." The man started.

Greta sighed then folded her legs, "I thought we'd meet at your old place. But why are you suddenly asking me to meet here?"

It wasn't long before the man's deep laughter began to sound. For some reason, it was able to make Lisa shiver and feel uncomfortable, unlike Greta who was still sitting quietly while looking at the man with a flat face.

"I suddenly wanted to drink coffee near your favorite son's office." The man replied after he stopped laughing.

Greta watched Michael's face for a few seconds before looking away. She turned her head and looked at the window which showed several people still walking past the coffee shop. The woman bit her lip and asked.

"Then, why did you ask me to meet at night like this?"

Hearing that made Michael lean his back on the green leafy sofa. He folded his arms in front of his chest and looked at Greta with a bored expression.

"Give me 20 percent of your favorite subsidiary company, and I promise we can work together." Michael firmly replied, his words on target.

Greta's eyes fell on Michael's innocent face. Even though she wore heavy make up and a gold necklace around her neck, Greta was sure that her veins would stick out when she heard Michael's unreasonable request.

"Heh, have you gone mad?" Greta asked in disbelief. "That's my stock, why should I give you that? You shouldn't go too far and ask such unreasonable things from me! The trouble between me and you was over 20 years ago."

Even though Greta's face looked normal, her heart felt like it was about to burst out of her ribs. Cold sweat started to run down her back, and an uncomfortable feeling began to fill her heart.

Twenty years ago… was truly the most humiliating past she had ever experienced!

For twenty years, Greta has tried to hide her past. But now, Michael suddenly appeared in front of her, making her feel uncomfortable and panicked!

"How much do you want?" Michael asked after he confirmed Greta would not accept his request. He was already starting to pull out checks and a pen from inside his blazer.

Hearing that of course made Greta laugh out loud, "Hey, you think I need money now?"

"I know that you are Mrs Petersson because you managed to marry my brother. You and I both know that Peter loves you very much and will give everything for you, but love dies as time flies, people say…" Michael replied, ignoring Greta's question earlier, "Do you think your marriage with Peter will still survive when he finds out what you did twenty years ago?"

"If Peter knew what you were doing twenty years ago, do you think you would still be living so lavishly? Do you think you can still wear gold necklaces and branded bags like now? Do you think you still have the face to get out of the house?" Michael continued slowly with a cold tone.

Greta is not a stupid woman. She knew what Michael meant by saying it all. The big, tall man must have been trying to blackmail her and make her frightened. After being a mafia boss for more than 30 years, scaring people is Michael's forte.

And even though Greta knew this trick by heart, her brain and heart were both telling her to surrender. No matter how long she had known Michael, she still had feelings for him. Even though her face looked normal, she felt more and more like she was walking on a thin rope.

Greta sighed, her body slightly trembled as she took her cup of hot black coffee. She took a sip, covering her throat with the heat.

"What can I do for you?" Greta asked.

"Easy. Like I said earlier, Tata…" Michael mocked with a big smile, "Give me your all in the company. I no longer want 20 percent of your stock, you tested my patience earlier. As long as you give me everything I want, I will let you go and forget what happened 20 years ago."

Greta frowned and her eyes were fiery, "You are my brother-in-law, and my husband's brother. Is 20 percent of my stock not enough for you? Why do you want all my shares in the company?"

"And don't call me Tata again. It's all over, Michael." Greta continued coldly.

"Ah, ah, Greta, my dear sister-in-law. Do you think I'm content with owning 20 percent of your stake in that big company? If I were in Peter's shoes, who wanted to be our parents' slave, the company would have fallen into my hands. What if I want all your parts in the company? Come to think of it, I still have the right to own the company, right?"

Hearing Michael's sweet voice made Greta even more panicked. She knew what the man was up to. For as long as she knew, Michael would do anything to get what he wanted.

"You know that the telecommunications company is now owned by Oscar, right? You can't do anything! It's all happened and don't ever try to take that away from Oscar!" Greta replied frantically. This time she couldn't hide her fear and panic.

"Looks like you forgot who I really am.." Michael replied with a small chuckle.
