Chapter 18 - And So The War Escalates

:Thomas: i am afraid not Ryjin to my north east north and north west is a Kingdom ruled by a man who claims himself king Samuel wolfheart of the wolfheart kingdom he controls around 15 towns 6 to 7 forts and 2 City's 1 of witch is a port city.

Krel and Bren are from the same side as Grey we have no choice but to go Threw Roa's lands to get there also the wolfheart kingdom is at war with a norther kingdom these southern lands have been left alone due to us lords usually band together to resist any norther invasion force.

:Ryjin: ok what if me and you Thomas deal with Roa and Bren Grey if i send you my cavalry do u have confidence to beat Krel if me and Thomas Keep Roa's and Bren's army here.

:Grey: WHAT LAD are you serious with that cavalry of yours I could stamp on krell Easy as long as i get to my lands in-time I can beat krell and be back to help in 7 days or so if all goes well.

:Ryjin: Ok we have a plan and we have Little time we must move now Lord Thomas how long do you need till you can get your full force ready to march Also Guards (The 4 Guards step forward) You are to escort Lord grey to are army camp and give my orders to Wallace Eva and Glen the cav is to be commanded by Glen and he is to accompany Lord Grey to deal with Krell while Wallace and Eva are to Start building More ladders and siege towers Lord Grey May Victory Bless you.

Aye and you too lad i will see you in 7 days or so so don't die ya hear he leaves towards his 4k men and is escorted to the camp by the guards and heads on his endevor.

while Ryjin talks to thomas about him heading to his camp to get everything sorted and ready and Thomas gets his army muster'd and ready to catch up with Ryjin's forces at his camp.

few hours go by Ryjin arrives at his war camp and see's that Glen and the cav are gone and so are greys men Wallace arrives and informs him of all the happenings Eva is out with some of her rangers scouting she is still learning after all.

Ryjin has wallace get the army ready to advance it around 4 in afternoon a rider has arrived from thomas stating his army will be here soon Ryjin has 1 roman legion and 1 wolf coat legion and The dunedin rangers stationed on the south side of Roa's lands to make sure Grey and Glen can get threw safe about 2 hours go by and thomas arrives at the head of his host of 20k men this was all he could muster without leaving his lands defenceless.

:Ryjin: ok Thomas Grey and my Commander Glen got threw safe its getting dark now so we have a choice we can do a night attack or rest the men and do a full scale assault tomorrow whats your opinion on this.

:Thomas: I say we wait till tomorrow the men will be rested and fed my command will also be sorted by then (Ryjin notice's Thomas's farther is coming towards us in armour) also my farther will be commanding Half my force so we can attack from Multiple Directions his name is Tom.

:Ryjin: ok we will rest and get the men feed also Its nice to meet you officially Sir its a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to be fighting along side u (He offers a handshake).

:Tom: HAHA don't be stupid Boy we will be family no need for a handshake Give us a hug and its p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to see such a young Man rise.

after the commanders gathering was done everyone went to sleep with the war camp being a palisade fort Minimal guards was needed but They took no risk's and had extra Guards Just encase

Morning came and the men woke and got feed and don'd there armour and weapons the siege equipment was being brought out in to place the enemy was in Same state getting there men ready on the walls Lords Roa and Bren where Not Present on the walls.

The troops where stationed in a way that the east south and west of the town was going to be siege'd.

On the east side was Tom with 10k He has 6k Mixed infantry 3k archers and 1k Light cav 6 makeshift siege towers 45 Makeshift ladders and 2 battering rams

and on the south side was Ryjin with 2 Full Roman Legions (these 2 Legions are ancient roman legions from when Rome was at its peak they are the armour'd legionaries in this world the roman forces are more a greekish style they still have legionaries but they look way different and are nothing compared to Ryjin's Legions due to Ryjin's are from a Roma that was taking on the world)

the Roman Legions where Front and centre with there Shields in a shield wall formation it was a very intimidating sight to behold.

on the left and right of the legions where a legion of Wolf coat Vikings each on the left side there was Wallace with his 1000 Highland warriors on the right side was the Viking raid leader Legion 6 Legions in a line along with the Dunedin rangers in the archer's house on top of the Siege towers Ryjin had 12 of these makeshift siege towers and had 20 makeshift ladders and 2 battering rams also

the time for the assault was Nigh.
