233 A Day with a Workaholic 5

Name:This Time You Are Mine Author:mekane
Just like that, the thirty minutes was over and one of the two managers came inside the office.

"Miss President, good evening." The manager greeted her.

"Good evening. Thank you for coming to the office this late."

"No, it should be me who should apologize. The schedules of the artist were finished late."

"Enough with the formalities. Let's proceed with the meeting." Yve said and ushered the manager to take a seat in one of the couches.

The meeting with the first manager lasted for an hour while the second one lasted 20 minutes longer than the first. As soon as the managers left, Sylvan came to her office. He saw Yve touching her nose line with her eyes closed.

"Young Madam, are you okay?"

"It's very difficult to choose the projects and offers for a group with the members. I survived two managers tonight but I'm not sure how I can survive the meeting tomorrow night.  Sylvan, what are my schedules tomorrow?"

"Two managers scheduled a meeting with you and I placed them in the morning. Then you have your classes and last would be the meeting for the awards."

"How about the progress report from Stones?"

"About that, Sir Edward is to return to the office to handle the remaining jobs." Sylvan reported.

"NO! I want to see this project to the end." Yve exclaimed and dialed Edward's number instantly.

Luckily, Edward is only about to board the plane. Seeing its Yve's number he answered it instantly and informed the plane crew to delay the flight for a few minutes.

"Edward, I heard that you're coming back?" Yve asked.

"Yup. I'm about to board the plane." Edward answered.

"About the project of Stones, can you let me handle it at least until it's finished?"

"But you would be very tired. You have SkyMu, your studies. You will not have enough time to rest."

"I have to get use to this busy schedule. Besides, what will the employees think if I leave this project just because you will return? I have just changed their thoughts about me." Yve explained.

"Okay. I understand. In the first place, I didn't plan to stop you from continuing the project. I was about to tell you that there are other things in Stones that I need to handle so you can continue with the project." Edward answered back.

"Really?"

"Yup! So I'll set a meeting with Sylvan when I arrive."

"No need for formalities. You already know my schedule from Sylvan so just come to the office or home to talk about it."

"Okay, then see you soon."

"Okay. Take care!" Yve ended the phone call with a smile.

From her tone, Sylvan knew that his Lady Boss will continue to work on the project and that he will continuously need to be cautious of her schedule. Due to her school hours, most of the meetings and schedules that make take several hours to be completed are scheduled on a Saturday. Moreover, Sylvan already planned to take over the other urgent meetings which he placed on a Sunday. Vince was very strict about giving Yve a one day off per week. Sylvan dared to keep this a secret t Yve as he finally understood the workaholic tendencies of his Lady Boss.

"Young Madam, should we get ready to leave?" Sylvan asked.

"Actually, I still need to check the papers you left me. While I'm at it, please print out the progress reports and give it to me." Yve ordered.

"Are you planning another all nighter?"

"Sylvan…."

"Young Madam, aside from the meetings with the managers, your schedule in the morning is pretty much available.  You can read the progress reports tomorrow. Moreover, you need to rest."

"Okay, I understand. Then let me finish the files you placed on my tables. Those files involved money so they must be finalized as soon as possible." Yve defended and this time, Sylvan wasn't able to argue back because he knows that Yve is right.

"Okay. I'll just grab a cup of coffee for you."

"Thanks, Sylvan. I want a mocha coffee with some snacks, maybe sandwich or biscuits. I'll leave the decision up to you." Yve stated.

Yve continued with the files she read earlier. This time she's making some changes through the soft copy on her computer. Shortly after, Sylvan returned with her coffee and biscuits.  Sylvan noticed the confused look on Yve's face, so he asked.

"Is there anything wrong with the details?"

"Actually, I'm confused and I would like to hear your reasons for some of your alterations." Yve honestly replied.

"Please tell me which one." Sylvan sat in one of the chairs in front of Yve's desk.

With them working together, the finalization of the files was finished faster than Yve expected. Despite that, she was still late in coming home. At 10 PM, she took a shower and changed into her night clothes. Instead of going to bed, she went to the study room to do her homework.

After finishing one of her homework, her phone rang and saw Nyelle's number. She looked at the time and noticing how late it was, she answered the phone.

"Hello, Nyelle? Is there anything wrong?"

"Nothing. I was just hoping that you're still awake. Am I disturbing you?" Nyelle asked.

Even if it was true, Yve decided to lie. Her friend must have missed her so much. After looking at her progress, she realized she could just wake up a bit earlier to finish the final homework. So she turned off the lights in the study room and headed to the bed room.

"Nope. I was just about to go to bed." Yve casually answered.

"Do you know when will Edward return?" Nyelle asked and anxiety is evident from her voice.

'Huh? Why didn't Nyelle know Edward's arrival? Well maybe he's planning a surprise and I don't want to spoil it.' Yve thought and lied once more.

"I don't know. But I can ask for you if you want."

"No, it's fine. Have you heard any good news?"

"I heard that they found Mom already. Maybe they're just ensuring her health before going home. In general, they're all okay." Yve answered in detail to make sure that her friend will believe her and will not worry anymore.

"Hmm…. Okay. Thank you for the update."

"No problem. But didn't Edward inform you through call or text?" Yve got curious. Her intuition is telling her that something is wrong.
