Anita prepared to go home and rest first.

“Hello, Miss Anita, please wait a moment.” A man suddenly appeared and reached out his hand to stop Anita.

“What’s going on?” Anita was startled. She patted her chest and looked up to see a man in elegant clothes standing in front of her.

“Who are you?” Anita asked in puzzlement.

“I’m sorry to disturb you so suddenly. I’m Brownie. Do you remember me?” This was the first time Brownie had stopped a girl in public. He was a little embarrassed.

Anita looked at the ill at ease man in front of her and thought about it for a moment.

Suddenly, she exclaimed, “I remember now. You’re the senior who specializes in computer programming.” Anita almost jumped up in excitement.

“Haha, it’s an exaggeration.” Brownie was very happy to see that Anita knew him.

“Don’t be so humble. I’ve read many of your thesis magazines. They’re very good. Many of your views are very unique,” Anita said sincerely.

“Is that so? Thank you for your praise. I stopped you today to thank you for your care these few days,” Brownie said with a smile.

“Oh, you’re too kind. This is my job,” Anita said while waving her hand sheepishly.

Seeing how cute Anita was, Brownie couldn’t help but laugh. “I heard you’re Professor Bill’s favorite student. He used to praise you every time we met, so I’ve always wanted to see you.”

“Really? You know my mentor? He likes to exaggerate. Don’t listen to his nonsense.” Hearing Brownie praise her mentor, Anita was a little embarrassed. She knew that their relationship was quite deep.

“Is that so? I think your mentor is right. I’ve seen how outstanding you have been these few days. If I were your mentor, I would like you very much,” Brownie said as he looked at Anita.

“You… ah, thank you for your praise, but this is my job.” Anita was a little flustered by the man suddenly saying he would “like” her.

When Brownie saw that Anita was stammering, he knew that what she had just said was a little abrupt, so he quickly changed the topic. “By the way, why didn’t I see your mentor this time?”

“My mentor was too tired a few days ago and was hospitalized. The doctor won’t let him get out of bed. He’s resting in bed now,” Anita replied.

“Is that so? I was wondering why I didn’t see him. Which hospital is he in? I’ll go see him when I’m done.” Brownie smiled and asked.

“Renai Hospital. I can accompany you when you go,” Anita said politely as she looked at her watch.

Then, she said, “Mr. Brownie, I’m sorry. If you have nothing else, I have to go home first. There’s a banquet tonight, so I have to go back and prepare.”

“I’m sorry for keeping you occupied,” Brownie said apologetically.

“It’s okay. I’m glad to meet you. See you tonight, Mr. Brownie.” Anita smiled and said.

“Wait a moment, Miss Anita. Actually, I have something I want your help with.” Brownie said nervously, “I don’t know much about the customs here, and I don’t have any female companions I know, so I want to invite you to be my female companion for tonight. I wonder if it’s convenient for you?”

“I see. No problem,” Anita replied heartily.

“Thank you so much.” Hearing Anita agree without hesitation, Brownie felt relieved.

“You’re too polite. See you tonight, Mr. Brownie.” Anita waved politely and left.

“See you tonight, Miss Anita,” Brownie said while looking in the direction Anita had left in.

At around 6 pm, the banquet started on time.

Brownie was already waiting at the hotel entrance. He was dressed in a well-tailored suit and a British tie. His hair was combed back and he looked very elegant. Many ladies who passed by couldn’t help but sneak glances at him.

A little after six, Anita finally arrived.

Brownie saw Anita immediately. Today, Anita was wearing a deep V-neck black evening gown. It accentuated Anita’s figure perfectly. Her long, slightly curly hair fell over her shoulders. Her fair neck and collarbone were revealed.

Brownie admitted that his heart fluttered. Although he had been seeing Anita every day a few days ago, she looked too stunning in her evening gown today..
