Anita was in her seat. As soon as she heard the bell ring, she wanted to find Owen, but she didn’t expect so many people to do so. Before Anita could walk out of her seat, the podium was surrounded by female students.

Anita hadn’t expected this and was completely shocked. “Oh my God, is this how popular Owen is?”

She thought enviously, “After all, he’s so outstanding and handsome.”

“Anita, are you waiting for me?” Owen’s voice suddenly came from the direction of the podium.

“Are you calling me?” Anita looked at Owen in disbelief.

Owen hooked his finger when he saw Anita looking over, then pointed at the door.

Only then did Anita understand that Owen knew she had something to tell him, so he specifically pointed it out to her.

Seeing that Anita understood what he meant, Owen picked up the book on the podium. “Sorry, students, but I have an appointment today. If anyone has any questions, email me at any time.” He got up and walked out.

Anita saw Owen walk outside and quickly followed.

The rest of the class looked at each other. What was going on today?

“She was the one who got called on twice today, right?” a girl suddenly said.

“Could she be Ms. Owen’s girlfriend?” another girl said.

This time, they couldn’t control themselves. Mr. Owen, who they had liked for so long, actually had a girlfriend. For a moment, they found it hard to accept.

On the other hand, Owen and Anita didn’t know that the classroom was filled with discussion because the two of them were already on the tree-lined path outside the classroom.

It was not yet noon, so the sunlight only shone through the leaves. The sunlight was very gentle. At this time, they felt relaxed.

Anita looked at Owen and thought of the way Owen had beckoned to her just now. She felt a strange sensation inside.

Seeing that Anita was absent-minded again, Owen couldn’t help but want to call out to her. He didn’t know why she liked to daydream so much when she was with him. Owen frowned.

Finally, Owen couldn’t help but reach out and pat Anita’s shoulder. “Anita, you’re daydreaming again. What are you thinking about?”

It was only then that Anita snapped back to reality and she hurriedly said, “No, nothing. I just wanted to ask you for help with something.”

“What is it?” Owen said.

“I need data for my thesis. Without this data, the thesis can’t be completed. However, only insiders can get the data, so I want to ask you a favor.” Anita was nervous, but she still said it in one breath.

“Really? Am I the only one who can do that?” Owen knew this was no big deal to him. He just instinctively wanted to ask and see if he was the first person Anita thought of when she was in trouble.

Anita looked at him sincerely. “Yes, because I only know you at the moment, I really hope you can help me.”

Owen pretended to consider it as he frowned. “I can, but… but what will you compensate me with?”

“Compensate? I don’t know what I can give you,” Anita murmured softly. “I really don’t have any money on me now. I’ll pay you back as soon as possible.”

“Stop. Don’t mention money again.” Owen had a headache the moment he heard Anita mention it.

The big misunderstanding that day was brought up again. Owen really didn’t want his relationship with Anita to worsen over this. “If I help you with this, I want you to promise me two things.”

After Owen agreed, Anita looked up frantically. “Not to mention two things, even a few won’t be a problem.”

“Really? You agreed so readily without asking what it is. Aren’t you afraid that I’ll scam you?” Owen looked at Anita. He felt a little better.

“I… I didn’t think so much.” Anita was also a little embarrassed by her own eagerness. She didn’t know since when, but her feelings for Owen had begun to change, and she had instinctively trusted him.

“Don’t worry, it’s not difficult.” Owen paused before continuing. “First, don’t mention that money again. I don’t think that’ll be a pleasant memory for you.”

When Anita heard Owen speak so bluntly about the unhappy memory, she just nodded. Even though she felt a little uncomfortable, she didn’t show it.

After Owen saw Anita nod, he added, “Second, I believe you noticed at dinner last time, but my mother likes you a lot. She hasn’t been feeling well lately, so I hope you can spend more time with her.”

From Anita’s perspective, these two requests were easy to fulfill, so after some thought, she immediately agreed. “No problem, I can do both..”
