Chapter 264 - The Scum Is Unrestrained

Jing Hei doesn't know how to describe it, but he thinks that Jing Cheng's face became darker than usual after Cheng Sheng told Jing Cheng something. He didn't think about it too much, since he is still worried for Qian Lin. 

Jing Hei was right since Jing Cheng's mood is foul these days. No one dared to provoke him since they think Jing Cheng has been stressed lately. Indeed, Jing Cheng is stressed, but not in the way everyone think it is. 

Jing Cheng's mood changed after he talked with Cheng Sheng. They thought Cheng Sheng is looking for trouble again when they're already very troubled enough with the demonic cultivators. However, it really isn't Cheng Sheng's fault. 

"Oh, right." Cheng Sheng said when he happened to pass by Jing Cheng who had just returned after he brought a group to save some people again. 

"Hm?" Jing Cheng stopped and turned to Cheng Sheng. 

"How is sect leader Jing lately?" Cheng Sheng asked. 

"His condition is the same. Fortunately, he had slightly recovered, even though not much." Jing Cheng answered, his voice is with a sigh. 

"You know that the Spring of Life can cure the demonic poison, right?" Cheng Sheng asked. 

Jing Cheng froze. "Yes." He nodded. 

"But, that's not entirely true." Cheng Sheng said. 

"What do you mean?" Jing Cheng asked. 

"The demonic poison is like a heart demon. The Spring of Life can cure a heart demon, but sometimes not. It depends on the gravity of the heart demon, and, in sect leader Jing's case, the demonic poison." Cheng Sheng explained. "Thus, the cure might not be a cure at all, but instead become another poison to add to the existing poison." He told him. 

Jing Cheng sucked in a cold breath. 

"The key here is, his tenacity." Cheng Sheng said. "You might have heard about Qie Shi. He has been poisoned by the demonic poison before, and his condition at that time is far graver than sect leader Jing's." he took out a bottle of magic pills. "I have fed him Cleansing Meridian Pills, but it is only a temporary solution." He said. "It only suppresses the demonic poison, and can alleviate the patient's condition. Thus, after Wu Xi gave his own bottle of Spring of Life to Qie Shi, Qie Shi was fully cured. But, the key reason is that Qie Shi's will to live is strong." He looked at Jing Cheng. "Sect leader Jing's will to live, there's no need to ask. You can use the Cleansing Meridian Pills to suppress the poison in sect leader Jing's bloodstream." He said and threw the bottle to Jing Cheng. "See it as my apology to unable to help sect leader Jing at the moment." He told him. 

"You don't need to – " Jing Cheng said. 

"Then. I'll tell you my real reason." Cheng Sheng said. "I can't stand seeing your horrible expression every day." He told him. 

As expected, Jing Cheng's expression darkened. 

Cheng Sheng was about to leave when he stopped. "May I ask, where is your water from the Spring of Life?" he asked. 

"I drank it. Jing Bai, Jing Hei and Jing Kang, too. We drank it to save our lives during our travel from the East to here." Jing Cheng answered. 

Suddenly, Cheng Sheng's brows furrowed. 

"What is it?" Jing Cheng asked. Did he think of something to piss me again?

Cheng Sheng stared at Jing Cheng. "Then… don't you equate to a panacea for your uncle?" he asked. 

"Huh?" Jing Cheng's eyes widened. 

Talking until here, Cheng Sheng's expression suddenly turned strange. "Just… the process is…" he muttered. 

Jing Cheng finally found a solution to cure Jing Rui once and for all. "Tell me!" he said. 

"You can make him drink your blood, or feed him your flesh." Cheng Sheng answered. Jing Cheng was about to answer when Cheng Sheng spoke again. "However, this is impossible. The poison had already spread all over sect leader Jing's body. Although the Cleansing Meridian can act as a supplement while you make him drink your blood, this is just a long-term solution. If you want to use your blood to cure him, you have to have him suck all your blood. In short, you have to supply him your blood the same amount as his blood that was poisoned." He explained. 

Jing Cheng was stunned. It's not that he is unwilling. In fact, he is very willing even if it will cost him his life. The one who would be unwilling will definitely be Jing Rui. 

"Of course, your flesh is more impossible, since this is disgusting for us humans, as well as cultivators, since this is the practice of demonic cultivators." Cheng Sheng said as he rolled his eyes. 

"Then… is there no other solution?" Jing Cheng asked with an ashen face. 

"There is." Cheng Sheng answered. 

Jing Cheng's heart was instantly lit up with fire. "What is it?!" he asked. 

"This…" Cheng Sheng flashed a strange expression again. 

"Tell me! Please!" Jing Cheng said and was about to kneel when Cheng Sheng immediately stopped him.

"I can pay you!" Jing Cheng said and took out his money pouch. 

Cheng Sheng frowned. "I'm not this despicable!" he said.

"Then… please. Just tell me however hard it is!" Jing Cheng's voice is pleading. 

Cheng Sheng sighed. "You have to give him your body's essence." He answered. 

"My… essence?" Jing Cheng muttered. 

Cheng Sheng nodded. "Yes. It's what you think it is." He said. "You have to have sex with him, and give him your essence." He explained. "This intimate act… a dual cultivation needs to be done between two willing people and their feelings should be mutual, harmonious. This is the reason why dual cultivation partners have their cultivation increase by this practice." He explained. "And, your body blessed with the Spring of Life, and your essence is also was mixed by the water from the Spring of life, can cure purify the impurities, most especially the demonic poison, in sect leader Jing's body." He told him. 

Jing Cheng was silent. 

"Sect leader Jing should be very willing to do this, no misgivings before and during the sexual intercourse. Also, you have to make him feel pleasures. The more he feels pleasured, the better." Cheng Sheng added. 

"How long do we have to do this?" Jing Cheng asked. 

"Until sect leader Jing's skin glowed. That's the sign the demonic poison was removed… hey. Why do you look very happy?!" Cheng Sheng asked. "Aren't you two…" his voice faded when he suddenly realized it. "You're not blood-related?!" he exclaimed. 

However, Jing Cheng didn't confirm nor deny it since he immediately ran to Jing Rui's room. After closing the door of Jing Rui's room for four days, Jing Rui finally recovered. But, it was Jing Cheng who looked like he had fallen ill since his face was very dark when he came out of Jing Rui's room. 

Everyone thought that Jing Cheng exchanged half of his life for Jing Rui's life thus Jing Rui recovered while Jing Cheng ended up looking like that. However, the real reason is that after having sex for four straight days, Jing Rui can't take Jing Cheng's vigor anymore and kicked him off the bed. Jing Cheng was about to coax Jing Rui, but Jing Rui didn't relent. Then, remembering Cheng Sheng's warning, Jing Cheng could only stop. 

So… it's indirectly Cheng Sheng's fault, but the blame isn't his to carry, and neither Jing Rui. It's Jing Cheng. He only has himself to blame for being unrestrained. Fortunately, Jing Rui had fully recovered before he kicked Jing Cheng out of the bed. 

When Cheng Sheng met them, Cheng Sheng's expression turned strange for a moment before he greeted them. Jing Rui is very grateful to Cheng Sheng, and so he gave him gifts, to which Cheng Sheng politely refused. Jing Rui could only sigh and thank Cheng Sheng again. 

"He has changed so much." Jing Rui said as they watched Cheng Sheng disappear in the array. 

Jing Cheng nodded. Before, Cheng Sheng would take advantage of everyone's misfortune. However, right now, they suddenly saw him in a new light. Or is it that, this is Cheng Sheng's true self and what they have seen before is just his mask? 

Whatever the reason is, the result is good. "How is Jing Hei?" Jing Rui asked when they saw Jing Hei was gazing out the window and looking at the sky. 

"Not good. Even I, Jing Bai and Jing Kang, we are worried about Qian Lin." Jing Cheng said. 

After they had split up in Xinfaxian Sect, Qian Lin insisted to travel South despite Jing Hei's disapprovals. In the end, Jing Hei got angry and left. Qian Lin didn't speak anymore and started flying South. Both sides have their own problems to solve. 

But, Jing Hei wasn't angry for real. Just sincerely worried for Qian Lin.
