Chapter 522 - The Scum Is Disrespectful

Name:The Scum Is A Author:HuilongShenghou
Naturally, Jin Yu omitted a lot of things like about him being a spirit servant and Cheng Sheng already knows it. He only told them that he and Wu Tie discovered a secret and Cheng Sheng took them inside Bai Tan's space because no one should hear something confidential.

"So, you actually knew all along that Ho Ting is a spirit servant?!" they all exclaimed.

Wu Tong stared at Wu Tie with widened eyes.

"Please don't misunderstand us." Jin Yu hurriedly spoke. "We only knew it this morning." He explained.

"How did you know it?!" they immediately asked.

"We have seen Ho Ting acting suspiciously this morning and coincidentally, I was near him and the Spirit Tracing Bell father gave me reacted.." Wu Tie explained. This is also another truth.

"So that's it…" they all muttered in realization.

"Tie-er, were you hurt? He didn't notice you earlier, right?" Wu Tong asked.

Wu Tie shook his head. "No. I immediately hid the Spirit Tracing Bell I have." He answered. "Also, there are other Spirit Tracing Bells in the venue so even if he would notice something, he would just think that he exposed himself and suspect those Spirit Tracing Bells." He explained.

"Sect leader Wu! Your son is very smart!" the other sect leaders exclaimed.

Wu Tong smiled with pride. But, he also felt sad since his second son Wu Tao is exceptionally… disappointing.

"Where is that Ho Ting now?" they asked when they remembered that Ho Ting has just fallen unconscious earlier from Fei Yin's attack.

It was at this time that a disciple from Righteous Alliance came running. "Not good! The disciple… Ling Yun. He is making a ruckus, stopping us from tying up that Ho Ting!" he said.

Ling Xi's and Yu Wen's expressions changed. "Yun-er…" Ling Xi muttered in shock.

All the sect leaders looked at the two. Yu Wen's expression darkened. "What? Are you thinking we are spies?" he asked them first.

"How can you explain your disciple's actions?" they asked.

"Yun-er must have seen something!" Ling Xi answered. "My nephew's eyes are special… he can see more things than we can. Hhe should have seen something thus he acted such." He explained.

"Elder Ling is right." Cheng Sheng spoke.

Everyone turned to him. Ling Xi's eyes flashed. If there's anyone who can save his nephew, it's Cheng Sheng!

"Elder Ling doesn't need to worry. I also believe in Ling Yun's eyes." Cheng Sheng spoke.

Ling Xi's heart finally settled down. He doesn't doubt his nephew but that he is worried about the other people's thoughts. Nobody can wrong Ling Yun!

Cheng Sheng turned to the disciple. "Did he say that Ho Ting isn't a spirit servant?" he asked.

Everyone was shocked, including the Righteous Alliance's disciple. "Y – yes! Elder Cheng is right!" he nodded.

"Ho Ting isn't a spirit servant?!" they exclaimed.

Wu Tie and Jin Yu are also shocked. What?! Had they been wrong?! They thought.

"If Ho Ting isn't a spirit servant… then what is he?" they asked.

"What could he be other than being a human?" Cheng Sheng said.

They all looked at him. "Huh?!" they were stunned.

"What's common between the humans and spirit servants is that they don't possess demonic energy." Cheng Sheng spoke as he placed down his cup. "What's the difference between them is that one is alive while the other is being alive after it died." He explained.

They were all dumbfounded. "So, then… so then, he is really a human?!" they asked. "Ho Ting isn't a spirit servant?" they added.

"He is human." Cheng Sheng answered.

"Then… then what about him being a spirit servant?" they asked in puzzlement. "Even the Spirit Tracing Bells reacted!" they added.

"Who said that a human and a spirit servant can't be in the same body?" Cheng Sheng asked back.

"What…" they all muttered in bewilderment.

"Guo Cheng… help… I felt my head is cracking… it hurts…" Shan Lu, this stupid person, spoke.

Everyone also felt their heads are aching.

"Xiao Sheng, what do you mean?" Xie Lan asked. "A spirit servant… and a human… in one body?" he asked.

"Have you remembered what I told you before? That I 'exorcised' a girl, thinking it was a demon possessing her when in fact it was a spirit servant?" Cheng Sheng asked. "And that's how I found out about the existence of the spirit servants?" he added.

Everyone's eyes widened and they finally felt enlightened. "That's right… possession!" they exclaimed. "Ho Ting… must be possessed by a spirit servant!" they said.

Cheng Sheng ignored them and turned to Ling Xi and Yu Wen who are in a daze. "Elder Ling… sect leader Yu. You two should go fetch Ling Yun and told him to calm down." He told them. "And you. Don't be rough on Ho Ting. My da shixiong has already injured him earlier. As I've said, he is a human." He said.

"Yes!" the Righteous Alliance disciple and hurriedly left together with Ling Xi and Yu Wen who are also in a hurry.

"You…" Wu Tie muttered as he looked at Cheng Sheng with a complicated gaze.

Cheng Sheng turned to him. "Don't feel like I have deceived you. I only realized his state after the Spirit Tracing Bells rang earlier." He smiled. "Of course, I can also say that you unintentionally deceived me?" he asked.

Wu Tie's eyes widened and he fought the urge to curse. As expected, this kind looked kind but actually is a scum through and through! He thought. "Let's go!" he told Jin Yu and left in anger.

"Elder Cheng…" Jin Yu called and helplessly smiled.

"I can say that you are similar to me, though only in teasing with people." Cheng Sheng told him.

Jin Yu chuckled and excused himself. He then ran after Wu Tie to pacify the other's anger.

"Shimei." Cheng Sheng called You Rou who is in a daze after she heard everything that Cheng Sheng said about Ho Ting being a spirit servant.

"Cheng-shixiong!" You Rou answered.

"Please help me in treating Ho Ting on my behalf." Cheng Sheng spoke as he turned to her. "We have to keep his life no matter what. And that Ling Yun would be extremely sad since he must be thinking right now that we have wrongfully accused Ho Ting…" he said and they all looked at Ling Yun who was crying after they returned.

"I understand." You Rou nodded.

"I will help you." Qian Su spoke.

The two ladies left, followed by Qian Tian and Qian Shan. The Xinfaxian Sect members didn't say anything. In their minds, You Rou has already been married off despite there was no wedding yet.

"My sister-in-law has long been decided!" Qian Lin proudly smiled as he talked to Jing Hei.

"Elder Cheng!" Ling Yun called and knelt before Cheng Sheng, making everyone taken aback. "Please… please help Ho Ting! He is a human! He was just possessed by a spirit… a spirit servant!" he said as he lowered his head. "I also made a mistake… I should have seen through him with my eyes but I didn't because that spirit servant is very strong and masked Ho Ting's soul, making me unable to distinguish their souls from each other!" he explained.

Everyone gasped in shock when they heard what Ling Yun said.

"Yun-er…" Ling Xi heaved a sigh. "He's too young." He whispered to Yu Wen. Then, he casted an apologetic look to Cheng Sheng because of his nephew being disrespectful.

Yu Wen nodded in agreement. "This just means that he will improve in the future." He comforted him.

Cheng Sheng nodded to Ling Xi, indicating he understood what he wanted to say. He then turned to Ling Yun. "This just means that you lack experience yet in using your gift." He spoke. "Although you have adapted to your eyes that can see more than what an ordinary human should all these years you have lived, this incident tells you that there are more things for you to know." He explained. "You should use this incident to improve yourself, and use your gift, your eyes, wisely." He told him and then moved his gaze away. "Elder Ling should take his nephew to rest." He spoke.

Ling Xi immediately pulled the dazed Ling Yun, still doesn't realize what has happened. Meanwhile, Yu Wen cupped his fist. "We will excuse ourselves, then." He said.

Everyone are smart people so they obviously realized Ling Yun's mistake. But, for the sake of giving Yu Wen, and Ling Xi, face, they didn't speak. They also saw that Cheng Sheng's expression turned sour, but he held it in since he isn't a petty person. He should have more patience towards the juniors.

"Xiao Sheng. You must be tired." Fan Wen reminded in a timely manner. "Although xiao Yin saved you earlier, but you also have fought." He told him.

Since Fei Yin's matter was one-sidedly ended by Cheng Sheng earlier, Fei Lin and Xi Ling left and returned to guard the gates of Zhongyang along with Chen Jing and Wu Fan.

"Cheng-shidi, you can pay Er Zi a visit after your rest." Li Tian told him.

Fei Yinzi was also injured earlier, albeit from Cheng Sheng's, for his fan's, attack.
