Chapter 40 - Double Date!

The 17th floor of Immersion building was a restaurant space named 'Greenery's Diner', a Michelin three star restaurant of Country A which specializes in  French Cuisine. 

Old Master Su had already booked a table for Su Mo Jiaran and Si Junyan there the instant Su Mo Jiaran agreed on meeting Si Junyan.

Since, Yan Shu was gonna Diner in there, Morgan and Dai Yu also went there. 

They entered the restaurant separately since Yan Shu didn't want getting seen with them. A waiter came to her and take her to their reserved table. 

Sitting on the table beside the glass wall, Si Junyan was staring at the outside city view intently. 

"Did not expect Master Si to be engrossed in such things." Yan Shu asserted breaking Si Junyan's concentration while taking a seat opposite him.

"We need them to relax ourselves sometimes and appreciate the beauty of the place we are living in." He illustrated his point of view.

Having a break had become a luxury in his life the moment he took over. Not that, he wasn't willing at that moment but some responsibilities are hard to disregard on when the lives of over thousands of people were dependent on it including his own family. Thus, he was so engrossed in dealing with all the schemes and plans and competition that he had almost forgot how the ordinary outside world looked like. 

Sometimes when he feels lost or almost feel like losing himself, the view of the bustling city through his office glass walls always helped him get back on track making him aware of the place he was standing on where there was no going back once entered. 

While others think he is living a glorious life being on top, only he knows how much sacrifices he has to do to maintain  the position.

Nevertheless, we can't change our fate anyway.

"It's prettier at night. Right now, it's just a polluted bustling city. So, if you are talking about enjoying you'd rather come watch over it at night." She was too used of this city that even looking at its pretty sight doesn't move her abit, not to mention it looked lifeless in daytime. 

"Did you order?" Yan Shu can hear her stomach grumbling from inside. Thankfully, it wasn't loud enough or else she would have to think about meeting Si Junyan next time.

"Uh-No. I was waiting for you." Si Junyan then opened his phone and scanned the restaurant's app from the menu before handing his phone to Yan Shu to order.

Just as Yan Shu was about to order, Morgan and Dai Yu walked over to their table.

"Look who's here! It's the golden bachelor, Si Junyan." Morgan exclaimed.

Si Junyan turned his head sideways to look at the source of the voice.

His eyes darkened seeing the man that just spoke as he stared at him with his narrowed eyes.

Seeing that Si Junyan wasn't going to reply anytime soon, Morgan nudged Dai Yu from behind to say something so that he doesn't get humiliated.

"Ouch!! Oh... hahaha... yeah. It's President Si. Looks like he'd also gotten an accompaniment with him." Dai Yu went along.

Si Junyan stared at the two feeling confused. Yan Shu was laughing inside seeing the two getting embarrassed.

"So?" Si Junyan asked carelessly. He wondered since when the two guys standing infront of him cared about what he was doing.

"We just happened to come here for lunch too and saw you. So, we stopped by to say our greetings." Morgan said politely in a way that made it look like they've known each other for a long time.

"Are we close enough?" Si Junyan didn't bother looking at them instead he turned his head to look at Yan Shu who was in the middle of ordering but was stopped by their sudden appearance.

"Are you done?" He stretched his hand to her to take his phone.

"Uh-huh." She nodded and handed it back.

"Master Si, do you really don't know them?" She asked him in a low voice pretending like she didn't want others to hear. 

"I don't." He denied straightforwardly. Si Junyan knew it was Morgan and Dai Yu. How can he not know that when both are almost at his level in their working area. Afterall, one had always been mysterious and even gaining the upper hand in Magus tech while others were still trying to figure out who is Darkmagus while the other was just an ordinary person who was a fresh graduate when he opened the SJ Investment or that's what others thought so which had already gained a strong foothold in the Investment business surpassing others within two years. Rumors had it that Dai Yu has a Sugarmommy or Sugardaddy whatever didn't matter to Si Junyan since it had nothing to do with him. However, the person he should be aware of was Morgan as people still haven't been able to find out his background, relation with Darkmagus and how did he manage to the managing director of Magus Tech. Before, Si Junyan had also tried alot to fish out his information to gain a hand in in Darkmagus but to no avail. As such, since he wasn't close to them he stated that he didn't know them. 

"How come?" Yan Shu didn't believe his words. In Country A, a celebrity might be unknown to still some people but Morgan should be well known as every home, office and places of Capital are equipped with Magus Tech electronics. Hence, she felt it unbelievable.

"Even if you don't know them, can we just let them sit down? People are watching. It's awkward for them to stand here." Yan Shu whispered to Si Junyan as she didn't want to let Morgan suffere not to mention that he came here for her sake. Moreover, she would feel at ease having someone she's familiar with.

"Do you know them?" Si Junyan asked. He didn't know what's wrong in them standing there. It's not like he told them to stand there, they can just leave if they want to. He just couldn't understand why Su Mo Jiaran was letting a stranger join over to have lunch with.

"He was one of the chief guests on our school anniversary day. I have to show him some respect on behalf of my school. You know?" She pointed at Morgan and explained to Si Junyan.

Si Junyan stared at Morgan for a moment without saying anything. Then he turned back to face Yan Shu.

"Okay. If you say so then I don't mind."

With that Morgan and Dai Yu excitedly sat on both if Yan Shu's side since it was a round table.

In reality, Morgan and Dai Yu couldn't get an empty table to eat since they didn't book it before. Moreover, the lunch hour has always been rush hour making every eating place busier no matter how costlier it was. Hence, they decided to join Su Mo Jiaran. But since she didn't want others to know that she knows them so they both planned to treat her as a stranger instead make Si Junyan invite them to join him.But who knew that the man wouldn't even acknowledge them. Whatever, they'd already got what they wanted. 

'Is it a double date?' He giggled. Dai Yu looked at Morgan then at Si Junyan. One was the fiance while the other was the secret lover.. He felt excited as he couldn't wait to see the drama unfold.
