Chapter 34 - Ignored^_^

By the time they were done eating, it was already 8pm. They bid goodbye to each other before leaving the apartment.

Yan Shu was now left alone in the apartment. She was really exhausted by now. Reluctantly, she cleaned up the place and lied down on the bed.

Although, she was tired she was grateful. As she lied down, various thoughts swarmed up in her head. She now had people she can call

friends who are concerned about her. She had a place called home where she can return to at the end of the day where people were waiting for her to return. She has people nagging her for not taking care of herself. She had people to protect her. 

She was reminded of the days when she just entered the entertainment industry. She was bullied, accused of things she hadn't done, had to do slavery but she had no one to rely on rather bear those things and grow up, stand up for herself by herself. All those survival brought her things she wanted to achieve too where time had also healed those pains making the memories fade. Yet today, she couldn't help but to be reminded of those days when she really wished she had someone to protect her, to care for her. 

Thinking all those things made her tear up. She cannot explain how blissful she felt for being transmigrated. 

She was then interrupted by a phone call. She got up and picked up the phone to recieve the call.

"Ranran,are you still in Yanjing?" Su Jiacheng's soft voice wafted from the other side.

"Uh-huh." Yan Shu hummed.

"I just got off from work. Should I come pick you up?" 

"No need. Ling Mo will be here soon." Yan Shu interjected.

"I have called him. He seemed to be in the other side of the city so it will take him a long time." Su Jiacheng responded.

Yan Shu didn't reply immediately. After a few minutes of silence she agreed.

" Okay, then. I'll be waiting for you in the parking lot."

"I'll arrive soon." Su Jiacheng concluded.

Yan Shu was now much more clear-headed. She fixed her get up and headed to leave the place. 

The instant she walked into the parking lot, she spotted the maybach parked there. She was certain that it was Su Jiacheng's car. But she doubted it as it was impossible for him to arrive in such a short period from Shengting to Yanjing.

On the other side, Su Jiacheng was actually waiting there for more than an hour. After getting the message from Su Mo Jiaran, he got impatient and couldn't focus in his works. Hence, although he told her that he'll get off from work at 9pm he couldn't help getting off from work just after he got the message. 

When he returned home, he got to know that she wasn't at home but in Yanjing.He never expected that Old Master Su would give her the access to that Yanjing apartment where even his father wasn't permitted to enter. 

Nonetheless, he left home for Yanjing as soon as he heard it from the servants.

After arriving in Yanjing, he couldn't bring himself to go up. As he pondered over what should he do, he spotted Ling Mo who seemed to be heading upstairs.

"Ling Mo, are you going to pick up Ranran?" He hurriedly got off the car and stopped Ling Mo.

Getting stopped by suddenly, Ling Mo was taken aback for a moment. He would've almost flipped him over if Su Jiacheng didn't speak.

He turned around and greeted Su Jiacheng.

"Young Master, I am going to pick up Missy's friends for now. After that, I will return to pick Young Miss too." He stated in a low voice.

"No need to return. I will take Ranran back." Hearing him, Su Jiacheng felt relieved. He praised himself inwardly for being so quick-witted. 

Ling Mo bowed to him before leaving. Su Jiacheng parked his car in a dim place where his car would be less noticeable. 

He then called Ranran and pretended like he just left Shengting. What he didn't expect that, he'll be caught so soon.

Su Jiacheng saw Su Mo Jiaran walking towards his car but stopped in midway. Seeing her not moving Su Jiacheng got off from the car.

"What are you glancing at? Get in." He then dragged her inside the car.

"Brother, were you already here when you called me?" She lifted her brows and stared at him.

"I was nearby." Getting caught red-handed, he didn't know how to explain hence he lied. He glanced sideways trying to avoid her gaze.

"So that was it. I was surprised." She smiled and didn't question him anymore. 

After spending some time with Su Jiacheng, Yan Shu had doubted Su Jiacheng's affection for Su Mo Jiaran. Although it seemed like he was just caring about her like a brother should, his feelings seem bit different from other brothers. It was more like he had those feelings towards her. 

Since, Yan Shu didn't have any brothers before she wondered if she was overthinking. But the more she observed, the more she grew suspicious. 

The atmosphere inside the car turned awkward. Afraid that Su Mo Jiaran might discover something he decided not to speak anything and focused on driving.

The maybach stopped infront of the Su Villa entrance after a short while. 

The two people got off from the car and headed to their particular rooms.

Yan Shu freshened up and changed into a casual set before leaving for the study room. The past two days were hectic which messed up her routine. 

She sighed. Although she wasn't allowed to overwork she couldn't just sit still when there were so many things left to learn. She reluctantly picked up her notebook and made changes in her routine then opened the page where she left off.

[Brother : I am in my study.]

Su Jiacheng had been waiting for his sister in the study. Seeing no signs of her, he became impatient. After much consideration and hesitation he finally sent a message but their was no reply for a long time. He waited and waited but to no avail. He finally decided to go check on her.

Yan Shu was fixing the mistakes of her last code sets she wrote when she heard a knock on the door. She frowned. She didnt want to be disturbed at this moment otherwise it'll take her longer to solve the codes. Hence, she decided to ignore it. 

Thankfully, she had trained herself on ignoring noises before which made it easier. 

On the outside, Su Jiacheng knocked again and again and got ignored again. Getting no response after constant knocking, he was suddenly reminded of her situation. He hurriedly ran downstairs to find the keys to the study room.

Seeing Su Jiacheng come down in a rush, Old Master Su and Su Haolin were alerted too.. The Su Villa broke into a chaos again as they all headed to the second floor.
