Chapter 33 - Intruders??

"Actually, I don't live here." Yan Shu said calmly.

The other four were surprised and stared at her with their eyes wide opened.

Yan Shu glanced back at them and laughed deep inside her mind.

Evidently, they must've thought otherwise.

"Did we broke into someone's house?" Cheng Han frowned. By now he has already stopped walking around and seated in a proper manner on the couch totally different from the way he was sitting before.

The other three followed.

"What are you thinking about, fool!!" Sheng Chen poked his head. Then she shifted her glance back to Mo Ran.

"I have full faith on you. But Mo Ran, if you don't live here then did you rent it only to meet us?" Sheng Chen bit her lips as she stared at Mo Ran quizzically. Sheng Chen did not think much when she heard Mo Ran say that she doesn't live here since it's common to have two or three houses for people in upper circle. But after listening to Cheng Han subconsciously she also started to feel suspicious.

"Chenchen, what makes you think that a place like Yanjing will pur their apartment in rent?" Mei Qian rolled her eyes at Sheng Chen.

Yan Shu did not know how long will she be able to suppress her laughter. These kids are so naive. She decided to tease them a little more.

"What if I've really broken into someone's house?" Yan Shu deliberately added more suspense.

The four has now totally lost their cool. They panicked. After all, Yanjing wasn't something they can afford to offend.

Yan Shu couldn't bear to see their trembling faces anymore and decided to spill the truth. But as she was going to explain to them, the doorbell rang.

The condition of other four people worsen.

Cheng Han : "Is that police?"

Sheng Chen tightened her grip on Cheng Han's shirt sleeve.

"I will have my father come over then and save us. Don't be afraid." Mei Qian consoled them with trembling lips which made no difference in their worried faces.

"Don't think too much." Yan Shu assured them before going to open the door. 

'I will just told them over meal. The food must've arrived.' She mumbled while walking towards the door.

Being certain that it must be the food delivery, she didn't feel the need to check the other person through the doorhole and opened the door directly.

"Master, the information on Bai Yan's sister has arrived." Butler Su handed the envelope that was delivered just few moments ago.

Old Master Su took the envelope and opened it hurriedly which was bery rare of him.

Old Master Su studied every page of the document sent over carefully.

"So it's that actress Yan Shu?" Old Master Su smirked.

"She seems quite capable then." Butler Su also narrowed his eyes. 

What happened 20 years ago to the Bai family was no secret to them. Infact, Old Master Su and butler Su were one of the people who had watched the incident from the very front seat with popcorn in their hands.

Bai Yan's sister was so well hidden by his parents and he himself that none knew he had a sister except the three. Hence, everyone only focused on targeting Bai Yan having no idea about the little girl. Old Master Su was also unaware about the girl. If Su Jiacheng was not close to Bai Yan and Si Junyan, he would've missed this big news till now. Hence, the misery the kid faced was not unknown to him which surprised him that she was able to succeed so much by herself. For others, getting out of that misery alone would've caused them to suffer greatly.

After following Old Master Su for all his forty years, Butler Su had witnessed and even took part in every work of Old Master Su. The reason he held a very important position in the Su family even higher than Su Haolin.

"Master, at least we have got information on her now. Before it had been so..." He heaved a sigh of relief. He and his master had been trying to find out the whereabouts of that missing girl to avoid any misfortune in the future but even the tip of the berg wasn't available. Who would've knew that the grape was already infront of them.

"Hmm. But since Si Junyan is personally handling things we can only observe for now. Just keep an eye on them." Old Master Su instructed.

"Yes,Master." Butler Su bowed to him and left the study.

[Su Qigang : The cat is found.]

[Partner : Movement?]

[Su Qigang : half dead.]

[Partner : Ending?]

[Su Qigang : Under the dog's control.]

[Partner : Patience is virtue.]

Old Master Su then deleted the messages and put the old handset phone inside the hidden compartment of the right side third drawer. He then stood up and walked up towards the french window and sat down on the rocking chair placed beside it. He removed his glasses before leaning back and closing his eyes. He seemed to have aged alot just in a day. He wondered if he would be able to sleep from tomorrow onwards that peacefully. It was time for the unsolved incident from twenty years ago to be solved.

Yan Shu was greeted by Krystian's assistant as soon as she opened the door. Standing beside him were two security guards with their uniforms on who looked like they were frustrated.

"How can I help you?" Yan Shu asked politely.

Meanwhile Krystian's assistant :

'Such a flawless beauty is destined to gain fame in entertainment industry. I should sign her up.' 

"Miss, we were informed that there was an stalker hiding in this floor. Have you seen anyone?" Seeing that the one who complained to them and brought them here in a hurry had no intention to speak, one of the guards spoke first. He just wanted to deal with it as soon as possible. 

"I am sorry to say that I haven't seen anyone like that." By now Yan Shu had already guessed what was happening. She had already sensed it in the elevator the way Krystian was observing her but she didn't expect that he would do something like this even when she hadn't done anything.

"Mister, did you hear that? There's none like that. Can we go home now since it's solved?" The other guard stiffly exclaimed.

The loud voice finally abrupted the assistant's thoughts.

"Ah...ah.. give me a few seconds." He apologetically eyed the two guards and Yan Shu before walking aside a corner.

He hastily typed Krystian's number before calling him.

"What now?" Krystian yelled as soon as he picked the call.

The assistant shivered.

"There's no stalker. Even the young lady from the 30th floor confirmed it herself." He replied trembling. He also wanted it to be done as soon as possible and avoid his wrath. 

"Then leave it. Can't you even do that by yourself?" Krystian hung up even before the assistant could say something.

He helplessly walked back.

"Pardon me for causing so much convenience."He bowed down to the three people gazing at him.

"Your inconvenience caused me alot. I would've to get a scolding from wife again." The former guard shook his head . The two guards apologized to Yan Shu before taking their leave.

Yan Shu was about to go back when she was stopped by Krystian's assistant.

"Young lady, do you want to be famous? I am an expert at that. Here's my card." He was now no longer scared rather he was sheepishly smiling at Yan Shu while handing her his card.

"Tai Gao, I am not interested in your industry. Excuse me." Yan Shu charmingly smiled at him and closed the door.

Assistant Gao was dumbfounded. Before he could recover from his shock Yan Shu had already gone back. By the time he realized it was already late. He completely forgot why he'd approached to the young lady but only one thing ruminated his mind, the word 'Tai Gao'. It was not his full name and only one person called him with that name. But now there was another. He shivered thinking about the possibilities then darted his eyes around the corridor. The glistening quite corridor now seemed creepy to him. He mumbled Buddha's name as he rushed into the elevator.

Inside, Yan Shu saw everything he did from the peephole. She laughed seeing him rushing into the elevator. She was having very much fun today teasing so many people.

The other four people left in the living room were getting impatient after waiting for a long time. Finally, Sheng Chen decided to go and check what was happening and was surprised. She stopped in her tracks and admired the scene.

The Mo Ran who always put on a serious face was now laughing so hard that she had to put her hands on her stomach to prevent it from hurting.

"You should laugh often. You look really lovely and lively." Sheng Chen walked over where Yan Shu was standing and patted her head.

Yan Shu has now calmed down abit. 

"Do I? I also think I look really pretty when I laugh." Yan Shu also chided.

"Let's get back." They both then headed inside.

"Who was it?" Mei Qian got up from her seat. Her heart was beating so fast that she was afraid if she sat any long it might burst out.

"Nothing. Just a security check." Yan Shu explained.

"Security check?" Cheng Han jumped from his seat and yelled at Yan Shu.

"Yeah. They just came to check if there was any intruders." Yan Shu shook her head.

This time, Huan Shi got up from his seat too.

The four impatiently glanced at Yan Shu to proceed further.

Seeing the looks on their face, Yan Shu finally gave up on teasing them. She laughed again.

"Guys, it's not what you think. This house is owned by my parents. I used to live here before but after they passed away, I moved to my uncle's place. I thought you would be uncomfortable around other people so I asked my chauffer to bring you all here so that we can have some privacy." She had already recited the story Old Master Su sent her about the apartment. Although she thought that their was no need, Old Master Su told her that it was to avoid any suspicion. She didn't think it would come handy now. 

The four heaved a sigh of relief and went back to their seat and seated in much comfortable position they were few moments before.

"I almost thought we were doomed today. Mei Qian's father wouldn't have spared us too." Cheng Han shook his head as he leaned back.

"Ouch." Before he could lie down on the couch he felt a sharp pain in his feet. 

Mei Qian stomped in his feet as soon as he spoke about her father. She didn't want to get exposed infront of this new friend Mo Ran since they weren't that close. 

"Qian, it's alright. Mo Ran isn't that kind of person to spread something." Sheng Chen comforted Mei Qian.

"Don't you dare." Mei Qian darted her eyes at Mo Ran and warned her.

"Honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about neither I care." Yan Shu nonchalantly replied. She had already guessed most of it now. Since the protagonist didn't want to tell she also had no interest in knowing other's privacy.

"You better not." Mei Qian glared at her for the last time.

Before Yan Shu can sit, she heard the door opening. As she went to check she saw Butler Su followed by five servants who were holding food carriage boxes.

"Miss, we are here to deliver the food." Butler Su explained to her then led the way for the servants.

Yan Shu walked behind them.

Seeing the servants and a butler, the four had now already figured out much of Mo Ran's identity. 

Mei Qian+Sheng Chen+Huan Shi+Cheng Han:

"Her uncle might not be an ordinary person." 

They mumbled inwardly.

The servants left.

"Miss, I will be waiting dowanstairs."

"You should head back. Ling Mo will drive me back." 

Butler Su nodded and then left the place.

Everyone was starving after so much dramatic things making them gobble around the food as soon as the butler left.
