Chapter 384 - Result?

Chapter 384: Result?

Trihan got taken aback by the sudden bet of Xotak.

Having a lifelong teacher wasn't something to be joked about. It meant that once you chose such a teacher, you would never become a student of another one.

"Are you serious about it?" Trihan asked.

Trihan had no teacher, so he wouldn't lose much if he accepted the bet. But the same couldn't be said for Xotak.

Xotak wasn't an ordinary member of the Hygar race. He was not only the most talented of the race, but he was also the son of the current leader, and he also had a teacher, who was his grandmother.

"Yeah, why not? If we're betting, we should go big," Xotak, smiling casually, responded.

Trihan's lips twitched in irritation, seeing the nonchalance on Xotak's face. He could understand the reason behind Xotak making such a bet. He was confident of defeating Trihan.

"Fine, let's do it," Trihan responded the next moment. "The winner would become the teacher of the loser," Trihan further added.

"What kind of battle do you want?" Xotak asked.

Since both belonged to the top races and had an extraordinary background, killing or causing a life-threatening injury wasn't possible for both sides.

"Our clones would fight to the death," Trihan responded straight away as he had already prepared for how the battle was going to be.

"Clones?" Xotak confusedly asked.

Several skills allowed a cultivator to have their clones, but even the best skill only allowed the clone to have around 50 percent of the strength of the user.

"Yes, both our clones would use three attacks each. Whoever succeeded in killing the clone more times would be the winner," Trihan responded and shared the battle format he had decided on.

"Interesting," Xotak commented, hearing the battle format. "Let me also add something, the attacker would only have one-fourth the strength of the owner, while the defendant would have one-third of the strength," Xotak added and added a situation to make the battle more interesting.

"I'm alright with it," Trihan responded. The Hygars and Daityas were almost equal when it came to their physical defense, so the situation wouldn't turn very horrible for Trihan unless the power difference was wider than he thought.

"Okay, let's begin it," Trihan and Xotak simultaneously commented and announced the start of their battle.

"Give me a hand," Trihan requested Xotak.

Xotak already knew what Trihan wanted. He created a tiny slash and aimed at Trihan's fingers.

The slash cut through Trihan's fingers with ease. Blood began leaking out. When six drops of blood had spilled, the injury automatically healed.

Similarly, Trihan did the same for Xotak.

The clone techniques required their blood, and since their energy couldn't create an unhealing effect on their body, the wound would automatically heal right away. Both Trihan and Xotak helped each other take out their respective six drops of blood.

Both of them then began creating their respective patterns using the drop of blood, and soon a clone with the one-third strength appeared on both sides.

Xotak and Trihan didn't stop and went on to the next drop of blood.

A few seconds later, three clones with one-fourth of the strength and three clones with one-third of the strength appeared on both sides.

The clones on both sides were equal in size and were visible copies of their respective owners. Their eyes were cold as if they had no idea about any kind of emotions.

"I would take the first turn to attack since it was my challenge," Trihan told Xotak.

Xotak had no problem with it, so he accepted it straight away.

Trihan then took out one of the good-quality spears he had and handed it to his clone, who would take the initiative to attack.

Xotak was a Hygar, and they rarely used weapons. Xotak was also such, so he didn't take anything out from his pocket space.

Both the clones stepped in front and took their respective positions. Trihan and Xotak created a transparent energy barrier around the remaining clones so that the intensity of the attack didn't reach them.

They also reinforced the space around the planet as they didn't want to see the fractures in space becoming an issue in the battle.

"Attack," Trihan ordered his clone, with a semblance of a smile on his face, while his voice contained majesty.

Xotak didn't have to order anything to his clone, as it reflexively took the position to defend.

"Cry!"

The clone of the Xotak led out a cry, opened its wing, and then completely covered itself.

The clone of Trihan, on the other hand, moved at a quick speed toward Xotak's clone, with the spear aiming toward the center of the Xotak.

"Clang!"

The next moment, a loud sound of metallic clash rang in the area as the spear clashed with the feathers of the wing.

The spear didn't stop but continued moving through the feathers while the sound of clash continuously rang in the area.

Both of the clones felt no emotions or had no sense of pain, so Xotak didn't even let out a groan while the spear passed through it.

"Crack!"

The spear couldn't handle the defenses of the feathers and the strength of Trihan, so it began cracking.

"Boom!"

The pressure on the spear reached such an extent that it finally gave up and exploded into smithereens.

The shards of the spear flew all around the area at an unimaginable speed.

The transparent energy barrier around the remaining clones saved them from any harm. The shards that reached there disintegrated just by touching the barrier.

The same couldn't be said for the clones fighting the battle.

Trihan's clone was the first to take the direct assault from the broken shards.

Not a single part in his body remained where the shards hadn't created a see-through hole or hadn't gotten wet with blood. Similar was the case for Xotak's clone.

Fortunately for them, they still had Immortal blood flowing in them, so both of them survived it despite it creating numerous severe injuries.

Trihan and Xotak decided to end the round there, marking a failure of Trihan to kill Xotak.

Time flew by.

Trihan was only able to kill Xotak once, and that too due to the rewarded upgraded skill he had gotten in the training area.. Xotak's clone succeeded twice in killing Trihan, marking another defeat for Trihan while another victory for Xotak.
